Supreme Master: Cultivation Starts After Recruiting SSS-Grade Talent-Chapter 39 - Attack together
Chapter 39 - 39 - Attack together
Chen Yinyin slowly rose from the dust, blood dripping from her lips. But there was no fear, no hesitation in her eyes, only the cold, burning rage.
"If I don't slay you today, I'll not be the Demon Sovereign!" she roared.
In that instant, her entire being seemed to shift. A dark aura surged from her body, wrapping around her like a living cloak.
It consumed her, her hair now swirling in the thick, black energy, moving as if it had a mind of its own. The saber in her hands began to glow, engulfed by the same dark aura that clung to her.
The temperature around her dropped dramatically. The air felt as though it had been pulled into an icy abyss, the very essence of hell itself.
Grand Ming's eyes narrowed as a deep, instinctual warning flared within him. He couldn't afford to let her complete the transformation.
With a snarl, he shot forward, his robes flapping violently behind him as he closed the distance between them. His palm surged with spiritual energy.
But just as he was about to strike, Chen Yinyin lifted her saber once more. The dark aura that enveloped her seemed to expand, its power surging in time with her motion.
She slashed down in a sweeping arc, her blade cutting through the air with terrifying speed and force.
"Hhmph!" He sneered, his expression twisting in contempt. "Weak attack. Do you think this is enough to defeat me?"
He raised his own palm, his spiritual energy condensing into a massive, blinding beam. "Vajra Palm!"
The two forces collided with a deafening BOOM, sending shockwaves through the air.
Chen Yinyin's strike was stopped by his palm once again, the force of their attacks causing the ground to crack and splinter.
Dust and debris flew through the air, but Grand Ming's lips curled into a smug sneer. "Just changing your form won't make you stronger."
He stepped forward, the arrogance in his voice rising. "I'll show you the gap between us-"
Before he could finish, a voice interrupted him.
"Master Ming! Your eyes!"
Ming turned in annoyance toward the four Elders.
"What?!" he snapped, clearly displeased by their interruption.
"Master Ming, you're bleeding!" one of them said, voice trembling.
"Huh? Me? Bleed?" He snorted dismissively, about to laugh off their concerns when a sudden, sharp pain shot through his head. His vision wavered, and a taste of iron filled his mouth.
And he coughed violently, a dark red streak splattering across his lips. Before he could react, his nose, ears, and eyes began to bleed uncontrollably.
His blood wasn't just dripping, it was pouring from every orifice, soaking his face and staining his robes.
"What's happening...?" his voice cracked as he stared at his bloodstained hand in disbelief. His body shook, his senses in chaos. "I blocked every one of her attacks... how could this happen?"
Panic began to take root in his heart, something he hadn't felt in years.
His eyes darted toward Chen Yinyin, who stood unmoving, her cold gaze silently fixed on him.
Without uttering a single word, she raised her saber once more, the dark aura swirling around her growing stronger.
Seeing the dark energy gathering once again, Ming's heart skipped a beat. A sense of foreboding swept over him, and his instincts screamed for him to act.
In a flash, he leaped back, widening the gap between himself and Chen Yinyin. His heart pounded in his chest, but he would not show fear.
"Attack her together!" He shouted, his voice commanding, though it trembled with the strain of his injuries.
At his command, the four Golden Core Elders, still reeling from the force of Chen Yinyin's previous attack, steadied themselves and gathered their spiritual energy.
The air vibrated with the power of their combined forces, a potent aura crackling through the surroundings.
As Chen Yinyin's saber came crashing down once more, the four Elders surged forward, their attacks synchronized in perfect harmony.
The energy blasts they unleashed were like violent waves crashing against her, their force enough to shake the heavens themselves.
With a resounding clash, the four attacks collided with her saber strike. The ground trembled violently underfoot, and the air exploded with the sound of thunder.
The combined spiritual might of the four Golden Core experts met the edge of her saber slash, and for a fleeting moment, it seemed as though they might overpower her.
But the attacks did not stop at her saber slash. They surged forward, breaking through the strike and slamming into the spot where she stood.
A massive explosion engulfed the area, sending a shockwave that shattered the earth beneath them. The entire battlefield seemed to freeze in time, holding its breath.
When the explosion subsided and the dust began to settle, a strange, oppressive silence followed.
The ground was completely destroyed, craters and fissures marking where the devastating blow had struck.
But when the smoke cleared, Chen Yinyin stood fine, without a single sign that she had been touched by the attack.
The four Elders, who had been expecting her defeat, staggered backward in shock.
One of them coughed up a mouthful of blood, followed by another. Soon, all four of them were bleeding from their eyes, ears, and noses, just as their Sect Leader had moments ago.
Their faces turned pale as they struggled to regain their balance.
"What... what happened?" one Elder muttered, his voice filled with disbelief as he clutched his chest, his breathing erratic.
The four of them immediately retreated, leaping back to Grand Ming's side, their movements filled with desperation.
"This... How?" Grand Ming whispered, staring at Chen Yinyin with wide, uncomprehending eyes.
"Master Ming," one of the Elders gasped, his voice filled with panic, "I think we should escape. We don't even know what kind of attack she used on us."

"I know." He said, realizing her attacks. "She's not attacking physically... Her attacks... they are targeting our souls."
The four Elders exchanged looks of disbelief, their fear growing.
"How is that possible?" one of them asked, his voice trembling. "She's just a Golden Core junior! Even Nascent Soul experts can barely perform such an attack!"
