Supreme Paragon Reborn: Humanity's Rise To Galactic Supremacy-Chapter 303: Cuteness Overload
Meanwhile, at the headquarters of the Heavenly Pact.
"W—White Angel! Please reconsider!"
Several men had cast aside all pride, bowing low to the ground until their foreheads kissed the floor.
Claire shook her head.
"Thank you for your acknowledgement. However, my decision stands firm. From this point forward, I will be a member of the Indomitable Alliance."
While Claire was a renowned soldier, she lacked any familial ties to the higher-ups, making her departure process smoother than Victoria’s.
"S—Sir Bryce!"
The men shifted their gazes to the old man.
"Please! Talk her out of this. Think about how much time you two have spent in our faction!"
The old man stroked his overgrown beard joyfully.
"It’s precisely because we’ve spent so much time here that change is needed... I’m sure the higher-ups will understand."
With those parting words, the two departed, now officially part of Michael’s faction.
"We’re going to lose so much face..." They exhaled in dejection.
Meanwhile, Michael sat in a private jet he had rented, with his mother and sister by his side. They weren’t alone. Niko, Enzo’s younger brother whom Michael’s family had taken in, accompanied them, along with Michael’s father. There was no way they could leave him behind.
"I... can’t believe it..."
Scarlett exclaimed, her emerald eyes sparkling with delight as she gazed out the window.
"First, my brother becomes famous, then he brings over several girls... and now he is loaded beyond belief?!"
Michael chuckled.
"Money is just a tool, nothing more..."
His words trailed off as he focused on the auras that their bodies emitted.
"From the looks of it, both of you have reached the Middle Apprentice realm..."
Now that he thought about it, they were in the same realm he had been in when he first enrolled in the army.
A breathtaking smile tugged at Isabella’s face.
"Of course, we’ve been practicing the meditation method you showed us."
Nodding in approval, Michael’s gaze shifted to his sister.
"How’s school? You’re not letting your cultivation affect your grades, are you?"
Scarlett immediately puffed out her chest with pride.
"I am top of my class!"
With no reason to rush, they passed the time chatting casually as the jet made its way to their final destination.
Upon landing, Scarlett and Isabella were captivated by the golden tree on the horizon. They had seen it in videos, of course, but this was the first time they had the privilege of witnessing it in person.
Once done ogling the view, they paced towards Michael’s base.
"Oh... My... God..."
Scarlett’s body trembled in ecstasy as she dropped her luggage to the ground.
"T—This is where you live?! This is no mansion but a castle!"
Instantly her head snapped to Michael, gazing at him with her puppy eyes.
Michael sighed. "Yes, you can go. They’re expecting us anyway."
In a flash, Scarlett dashed eagerly. Ready to explore her brother’s place of residence.
With a warm chuckle Michael picked up her luggage and glanced at his mother, who had remained quiet.
"Did you consider my suggestion?"
His gaze lingered on the hospital bed he was pushing, on which his father, Gabriel, lay in a coma.
Before departing Michael had suggested that they relocate Gabriel to the base.
Given the man’s state, Michael thought it would ease the burden on his mother, who had been caring for him every day.
"No." A pained smile spread across her face.
"I love him too much to part with him."
Michael nodded quietly. As they continued toward the base.
Upon entering, the echo of Scarlett’s voice drifted into their ears.
"No fair! They have pools! More than one!"
With a slight frown, Isabella’s voice of disapproval quickly followed.
"Scarlett! Don’t forget that this is your brother’s home! Show some class!"
Startled by her mother’s scolding, Scarlett quickly returned to them, though still visibly excited.
"I suppose we have to greet the others?" Isabella smiled faintly without a trace of her serious nature remaining.
While Michael’s family had already met most of the squad, there were a few individuals they hadn’t yet encountered.
Once the crew learned that Michael had returned with his family, everyone gathered in the lounge to greet them with their best behavior.
"Long time no see!" Richard was the first one to approach, having worked at their cafe.
"Scarlett, you’ve grown even more!" Ava teased with a pout. "Leave some height for the rest of us!"
Victoria and Claire, now officially part of the Indomitable Alliance, welcomed them as well, though they seemed a little nervous when their eyes met Isabella’s.
While it wasn’t their first meeting, it was the first time they were seeing each other since they had been in Michael’s embrace.
"Oh my..."
As if to confirm their fears, Michael’s mother gasped, putting her hand over her open mouth in surprise.
"I—Is something the matter?" Claire cleared her throat.
"No..." Isabella giggled charmingly. "I was just... pleasantly surprised, that’s all."
"..."
Secretly sweating Victoria and Claire exchanged glances.
’Does she know?’ They wondered.
"Brother!" Niko suddenly broke the tension as he headed to Enzo with a wide smile.
Meanwhile, Scarlett was moving through the group, greeting each member of the crew with a warm smile. Her gaze eventually settled on Ruby, who swung her tail playfully.
Instantly the teenage girl froze on the spot.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!" Scarlett’s abnormally high-pitched scream with the intensity to shatter glass rang out in the chamber. Her hands moved instinctively towards Ruby’s fluffy fur.
"N—Nya?!" Taken by complete surprise, Ruby wasn’t able to move fast enough to escape the incoming embrace.
"Cute! Cute! Cute! Ah, I could die!"
Scarlett exclaimed in a trance as her hands roamed across Ruby’s tail and ears.
After all, she always considered herself a cat person. So when she saw Ruby’s feline features and an undeniably cute appearance, she completely lost it.
Prrrrr~
Though surprisingly, Ruby didn’t mind. Since Scarlett’s scent was similar to Michael’s, she even seemed to welcome it. Her head playfully nuzzled across Scarlett’s body, mixing their scent.
Another squeal escaped Scarlett. "I don’t want to leave!"
Isabella’s brow twitched.
"I—I am sorry I even told her to keep it together when she met your feline companion... But you just can’t keep a teenage girl on a leash."
Michael chuckled warmly.
"I don’t mind. Besides, Ruby seems to enjoy the attention."
The introductions were soon over. Michael was about to tour with his mother and sister across the base... However, before he could, Devil tugged at his soul.
The weapon wanted to come out.
While keeping it under wraps for as long as possible was the current goal, Michael didn’t want to keep too many secrets from his family.
Not to mention the fact that Devil expressed a desire to be seen, which meant it could be something important.
With a sigh Michael glanced at Isabella.
"Mom, there is one more member I want to introduce you to. Do you remember my sword? After evolving, it gained a physical form. His name is Devil."
Isabella reassured his uneasy feelings with a smile.
"Another one of your companions? I don’t mind seeing him!"
With a nod, Michael summoned Devil in his sword form before letting it shift into his physical body.
Instantly Devil’s massive frame loomed, his singular pupil trailing between Michael’s mother and sister.
Since Devil’s name wasn’t just for show, taking into account his physical appearance, it was understandable why the two were rendered speechless.
However, what Devil did next was completely unexpected.
Extending his long arm, he grabbed a flower that had been resting on the table and offered it to Isabella.
"Madam."
