Chapter 184: Plans And Blessings

Hearing the Creators voice, she did.

The big ball of flame in front of her disappeared. There was no sign that an amazing thing had happened. She just saw time getting reversed and even now time has paused. And yet, she was calm in the presence of the stillness around her.

There was stillness everywhere, and in that silence, a small and gentle voice was heard. Alexandra, who was under the impression that the Creator would talk to her in a powerful voice was stunned by the gentleness that surrounded her.

But she bowed her head and listened to the voice with all her heart.

"I am pleased with your choices, Arimelda, wife of Maximus Lukyan."

That was the first thing the Creator said. Alexandra could not discern the voice as she didn’t hear it as she would hear any other voice. She felt the words in her heart, rather than hearing the words uttered. It was as if something invisible was writing those words in her heart.

And rather than focusing on that, she did focus on what was expressed to her. But she was not thinking about which choices of hers pleased the Creator. She was focused on the other thing.

[The Creator addressed me as Maximus’ wife...]

"There will be no more reincarnations for humans," The Creator said.

"But souls are indestructible and cannot be destroyed," Alexandra expressed her shock at hearing such a novel concept.

"Behold!" The Creator’s voice echoed in her heart and Alexandra saw a series of images. And through those images, she was shown various secrets and the plans the Creator has for the universe he created.

Although Alexandra didn’t find herself worthy to be shown the future plans of the Creator himself, she surely accepted what was shown to her with a humble heart.

It is an honor, after all.

Alexandra pressed her forehead to the ground and showed reverence to the one above all. In all those plans, she could not find anything she would be doing with her family. She was a little saddened by that, but she knew she is a nobody and she cannot ask the Creator to change his plans for her sake.

"My blessings shall be upon you forever. Your reward shall be great for you have pleased me. You will live peacefully and be buried with peace in your old age. Your offspring will inherit my blessing forever."

Alexandra’s hands shook hearing those words. Her eyes reddened, and a lump formed in her throat that made her unable to speak.

She was delighted.

"Who am I? I am nothing but your humble servant," she said, gathering her thoughts.

She truly didn’t know what she should say. The creator has given her everything she wanted. He has revealed to her that she will live and age like a human, have kids and will die of old age. He promised her offspring and he promised blessings on all of them.

What more will she ever want?

In the presence of the most powerful force in the Universe, she forgot about everything else for a fleeting moment. The Creator whose power she still couldn’t comprehend, and the power of which she was shown just a fragment, is still far greater than the power she has.

She felt humbled, and at the same time, she was overwhelmed with joy.

Why wouldn’t she? The Creator said that he was pleased with her choices.

"Go and be happy, dear child!"

She heard him say and after that, there was no sound. The silence returned.

Alexandra raised her head, and everything started to move. To her left, Maximus plopped on the ground, Arioch was grumbling in pain, the warring men all stopped and were looking at her.

"It is over," she said, hiding her disappointment.

The little moment she spent with the Creator gave her so much delight, she missed him already. But she cannot stand here astonished. She has a lot to do. She has to follow the command of the Creator.

"The war is over!" she said, raising her sword to the sky. "Go in peace!"

Everyone’s eyes were on her and they all were rightly stunned. No one knew what was going on except for her.

The darkness was no more, and the sky was slowly getting dark with rain clouds. Everyone knows that there won’t be rain here. And when big drops of rain fell from the sky, they all looked astonished. First, they saw the death of the Brute, and now this.

They couldn’t understand if this is all good or if there is some underlying worse situation. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Return to your homes to your families for the destruction has passed!" she shouted for all to hear. "Send ambassadors to the Royal City of Lathlin if you want answers. I, the Brute’s Wife will meet you in a fortnight."

She turned to her side and Rufus, her horse was climbing up the dune she was in. She turned her sword back as a ring and her sword ended up in her fingers. She looked at Maximus on the floor, lying in a pool of his blood.

Rufus understood her and lay by Maximus’ side. Alexandra with a little struggle shifted Maximus to Rufus’ back and climbed on Rufus.

With her signal, Rufus darted out of the battlefield. The rain picked speed, and the confused soldiers all diffused having no other way. She heard the murmurs of the Lethusian soldiers. They were not pleased that she killed their Emperor.

"Your Royal Highness!" She heard the shout of the familiar boy.

[Ah, Marcus...]

"Get to Lathlin, Marcus." She told him and left the place without turning back. ’Marcus knows what is coming next. He will have to prepare himself.

She had no plans on leaving the boy just as he is. She will be right there with him. But first...

Alexandra placed her hand on Maximus’ back. He was still breathing, but it was labored. He cannot feel pain, but he still needed medical attention for him to survive. He cannot lose much blood.

She closed her eyes and mumbled the healing spell. She could feel her mana transferring to Maximus and he was getting healed at a faster pace.

"My love, wake up," she spoke gently. "Look at me."
