Surviving in the Beast World with a System-Chapter 66: Worrying About Poop
Grandma Hua Shu frowned at her. "What’s the matter?"
She was puzzled. ’Is there anything more important than food?’
Wu Yue gave a bitter smile. "When we get back to the tribe, if anyone asks, can we just say the bamboo bags were a group idea from the females of the Collection Team?
Before we trade for the salt, I don’t want to draw too much attention from Aya and Ye Duo."
Thinking about the trouble between those two vexing young females and Yue, Grandma Hua Shu nodded in understanding. "Alright, I’ll tell the other females not to spread this around for the time being."
Wu Yue smiled gratefully.
’Once I’ve gathered enough food and traded for that salt, heh heh...’ 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
’If Aya and Ye Duo dare to mess with me again, I’ll make them learn why flowers are so red.’
The enthusiastic females wove the bamboo bags with incredible speed; they could have practically formed an assembly line right then and there.
Time always flies when you’re busy. Soon, Grandma Hua Shu started calling for the females, who were scattered about gathering, to assemble.
The females glanced longingly at the wild vegetables they hadn’t yet picked, but in the end, they could only drag their massive bamboo bags and depart.
Once they had tied the bamboo bags shut and hoisted them onto their backs, Grandma Hua Shu gave a few more instructions before leading the Collection Team toward the tribe.
This time, everyone in the Collection Team had their Beast Skins tied around their waists with a vine.
Their dark faces were filled with excited smiles as they chatted loudly with one another, their strides longer than on any previous collection day.
Watching them, Wu Yue was suddenly reminded of a song: "The Liberated Serfs Sing."
The tribe’s open grounds were already bustling with activity. The males of the Hunting Team were processing the prey they had brought back.
The Collection Teams gathered in their separate areas, piling up the food they had brought back into small, green mountains.
The females sat around their little mountains, talking and laughing loudly, occasionally glancing over at the other teams’ mounds of wild vegetables to make secret comparisons.
If another team’s pile was smaller than theirs, they would beam with delight.
If it was larger, they would pull out the Beast Skins they had set aside and try to find another vegetable or two inside to close the gap.
Meanwhile, in the small river that ran through the tribe, the males back from the hunt were washing the blood and grime from their bodies.
Three large tigers squatted in a neat row like housecats, letting the river water rush over their bodies.
"Yuan Lang, today’s the collection day. If your Amu’s Collection Team wins, can she treat us to some wild vegetables?"
Teng Qian’s eyes were full of anticipation, while Teng Kun, beside him, gazed at their General with stars in his eyes.
Yuan Lang glanced at them lazily with his massive tiger eyes. "If you want to eat, have your Amu make some."
’Are vegetable balls really that hard to make? You just roll them up...’
Except for that one pot of bitter vegetable mush, the "vegetables" his Amu made were just simple balls of greens—the kind you eat raw.
At the thought, Yuan Lang felt his tiger fur practically turn green.
Teng Qian and Teng Kun hung their heads in disappointment. "ROAR! I want a new Amu."
Teng Kun chimed in, "Me too."
Whenever their Amu saw them eating wild vegetables, she would rush over and snatch the greens right out of their mouths.
The most bizarre part was that she wouldn’t throw them away. She would just give them a little shake and then eat them herself... EAT! THEM! HERSELF!
Thinking of their still-aching behinds, the two big tigers started to worry about their next poop.
