Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s-Chapter 1553: Gradually Emerging
Chapter 1553: Chapter 1553: Gradually Emerging
"Wifey!" Qin Jian wiped off the water on his body and went to hug An Hao, "Are we going to have a ’deep’ communication tonight?"
An Hao laughed with a snort, "You’re so bad. Just say it if you want..."
"Mmm. I want."
"Then... what are we waiting for...?"
The young couple playfully teased each other, which was all in good fun.
As their affection deepened, just as they were about to do something, the phone on the table rang.
"Who’s calling in the middle of the night?" Qin Jian’s mood was disrupted, but he also worried it might be an emergency, so he quickly picked it up. After hanging up, he turned to An Hao and said, "An Ping is in the hospital!"
............................
An Hao and Qin Jian rushed to the hospital and happened to meet Lin Qiushu waiting for them at the entrance.
"Qiushu? What’s going on?" An Hao asked hurriedly as she walked.
Lin Qiushu explained to her, and An Hao found it incredible that they had gotten into a group fight.
Qin Jian accompanied An Hao to the ward, visited An Ping, and the doctor said there was no major issue, just advising them to keep him under observation and not necessarily admitting him.
Lin Qiushu felt that since An Ping had risked himself to save others, he shouldn’t be left to face any danger, right?
Since the doctor said An Ping was fine, An Hao also felt relieved. She hadn’t seen Lin Qiushu for a while, so since they met, they chatted a bit.
"Who did you and An Ping get beaten up by?"
"It seems like it was someone called Brother Jiu..." Lin Qiushu furrowed her brows and recalled, "Wang Jiu! I heard someone calling him Wang Jiu!"
"How does this guy keep popping up everywhere? I have such a bad impression of him," An Hao frowned.
"I’ve been focusing on this guy before. But something always interrupts," Qin Jian said with a frown, "This time we must thoroughly investigate and root out this cancer."
"Mmm. Such people should rot in jail. What ’big tree’ is he leaning on to act so recklessly?" An Hao said angrily.
"Not necessarily," Qin Jian disagreed, "If he really had a backer, I feel he would be even more rampant! Let’s investigate further."
Lin Qiushu nodded in agreement, gratefully looking at An Hao: "I owe you one again for this. I’ll pay back slowly." freewēbnoveℓ.com
Before An Hao could respond, Qin Jian spoke first: "If you say so, you probably owe another favor now!"
"Huh?" Lin Qiushu was puzzled, "What favor?"
"I’ve accidentally helped you find someone. Someone you’ve been wanting to see the most." Qin Jian slowly said.
"Jiu Xia!" Lin Qiushu blurted out, the person she most wanted to see.
She hadn’t given up on the search during this period, traveled to many places but didn’t find any clues about Jiu Xia, her grandmother was worried sick.
She was nearly at her wit’s end, almost giving up. Out of nowhere, Qin Jian brought her a turnaround and a glimmer of hope.
"Really? Please, you must take me to find her. My grandmother’s lost sister and the uncle stolen from the cradle might give us some news through her," Lin Qiushu became excited.
"Don’t worry! I’ll definitely help you through this!" Not just for anything else, but because Lin Qiushu had once saved his child’s life, Qin Jian would go all out.
