Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 363: Resolution
The person she’s with does have the surname Zhao, and he’s even a minor shareholder in AE Company.
Because of this, she can make demands of Moira Young so brazenly.
Didn’t expect she’d actually find out.
What to do now?
Ruby’s eyes darted around, quickly speaking up: "So what? Words alone, who’s to say you’re not deliberately framing me."
"And aren’t you afraid you won’t be able to stay in the entertainment world after doing this?" She gritted her teeth, spoke in one go, her heart filled with unease.
If Moira Young really exposes this matter, the sponsor she’s with won’t spare Moira Young, but even so, her own career would be over.
So, she must stabilize Moira Young first; as for what comes next, it’s still undecided who will come out on top.
Quickly weighing the pros and cons, Ruby was about to feign weakness.
Moira Young, on the other hand, seemed disinterested, raised a hand to the door handle, warning: "I have nothing to say to you, and if I find out you’re up to tricks behind my back again, it won’t be this simple next time."
She’s not some puppet; after repeatedly being troubled, even clay figures have a touch of spirit.
Moreover, she hadn’t yet settled scores for last time with Ruby, and it happened that Ruby approached first.
If things continue this way...
Her gaze darkened, and Moira Young’s little face tensed tightly; finally, she added, "You can’t keep things hidden unless you don’t do them. If you think I really don’t have enough evidence, just try it, but I don’t guarantee the consequences."
With that, she directly opened the door and left, leaving Ruby standing there stunned, her long fingernails nearly digging into her flesh.
Try, how could she dare try? If, if Moira Young did have the evidence, then she’d be ruined for life.
A few minutes later, Ruby was pulled back to her senses by the pain, half-hiding her face, abandoning the audition and leaving directly.
Audition waiting area.
Joe was carrying hot milk tea, searching all over for Moira, finally spotting the familiar figure, she hurriedly ran over, whispering: "Moira, where did you go? I looked everywhere for you, couldn’t reach you on the phone either."
She almost thought someone might have taken Moira again, luckily she found her.
Joe was talking while stuffing the milk tea into her hand, saying, "Drink it while it’s hot, it’ll help you perform well in the audition later."
This time, Moira was not attending an ordinary casting session, but Marcus Mercer’s new drama.
Marcus has always been renowned in the directing circle; any drama he oversees inevitably becomes popular.
If Moira grabs this opportunity and gets selected, it would take her acting career a huge step forward.
Just thinking about it, Joe started getting excited already.
Beside Moira, she inserted the straw and took a sip of tea, then slowly explained: "Ruby came looking for me just now, so I was away for a while."
Before she could finish, Joe had already circled her a few times, anxiously: "She didn’t trouble you, did she?"
Moira bit a pearl, shook her head, briefly said: "No, it’s dealt with now. I suppose she won’t be acting up for a while."
She didn’t elaborate further, and Joe didn’t press for details, the topic was brushed over in a few words.
Half an hour later, Joe nudged Moira, giving a cheering gesture: "Don’t be nervous, believe in yourself."
As an assistant, she naturally kept Marcus’s information thoroughly; he’s always strict and probably won’t be easy.
Moira, however, wasn’t worried at all, walked in confidently, and not long after, came out relaxed.
A casting session that was supposed to be nerve-wracking suddenly left Joe confused. She asked bewilderedly: "It’s finished so quickly?"
Moira nodded calmly: "It’s over."
Nothing more to say?
As if sensing her intent, Moira blinked and said: "It felt smooth, we’ll have to wait for the official notice."
Joe: "..."
Alright, Moira won.
She sighed, following her out.
On the other side, Vesperia.
Adrian Grant recounted Moira Young’s recent situation as usual, then looked at the handsome, poker-faced Julian Sinclair, who kept a stoic expression without any extra sentiment, sighed softly, and leaned on the desk, complaining.
"Julian, could you smile a bit more? Since Moira left, you’ve always had that face on. You want to make her feel worried, but she can’t see it."
That’s why he said, this person shouldn’t be too stubborn.
Adrian cleared his throat involuntarily, about to deliver a long monologue; the latter sent just a light glance over, silencing him instantly.
The room resonated with a deep voice: "Keep watching her, and for that Ruby woman, give her some covert lesson."
Julian laughed slyly as he leaned in, "Don’t need to tell Moira?"
Julian lifted his eyelids, curling his thin lips: "There’s a project in Zephyria recently..."
"No, no need." Adrian jumped up, "I’ll go do it right away!!!"
From childhood to adulthood, his brother liked causing trouble; especially targeting him relentlessly. He wouldn’t dare go head-to-head with him; his parents treated Julian like their own son.
If he dared to ignore Julian’s words, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Adrian lamented, slipping out, looking at Julian with eyes filled with fear.
"Aren’t you going yet?" Julian warned quietly.
"Yes, yes, yes, I’m going." Adrian resignedly turned away; at that moment his previously cheerful face suddenly changed.
That Ruby simply doesn’t understand the danger, to dare stir trouble with someone so powerful, it seems it’s time to show her some consequences.
China.
The morning sunlight streamed through the window, into Moira Young’s bedroom; lying on the large bed, she slowly opened her eyes. Even though she just woke up, her eyes were remarkably clear.
She yawned languidly, yet showed no intent to get out of bed.
It was then the sound of a door opening from outside reached her, shortly followed by Joe’s voice, entering her room: "Moira, are you up? I brought breakfast for you."
The sound grew closer, every two seconds she caught sight of Joe’s pure little face.
Joe smiled at her, seemingly in a good mood.
"Moira, I thought you hadn’t woken up yet, come eat breakfast. I bought something good for you."
Moira showed little interest, not intrigued by what Joe described as good things; she climbed out of bed listlessly, moving as if in slow motion.
Joe seemed a bit anxious, quickly finding clothes for her to wear: "Oh, hurry up, if you don’t go faster it’ll all get cold."
"Actually, I don’t have much of an appetite." Joe’s enthusiasm left Moira helpless, so early in the morning, she was indeed not interested in the delicacy Joe spoke of.
"This thing is especially good for a poor appetite, you have to try it." Joe said while placing slippers by the bed, stopping Moira from stepping onto the bare floor, "Can’t walk barefoot on the floor in this cold winter, careful not to catch a cold."
