Chapter 373: Chapter 373: Courting Death

Mr. Alden’s eyes widened in surprise as he touched his chin, leering at Moira Young. Indeed, Julian Sinclair’s woman is different, he thought. Hehehe, since Julian doesn’t want her anymore, he might as well not be polite.

Joe bared his teeth fiercely, glaring at the two people behind him. Moira Young said with a stern face, "It seems your mouth still needs washing."

Ignoring Ruby, who was clenching her palms tightly in anger behind her, she stepped out as her floor arrived.

"This is the Moira Young you mentioned," Mr. Alden said, pulling the woman beside him closer by the waist.

He had seen Moira Young before, but Julian Sinclair was always with her, so he didn’t dare to let his eyes wander. This time, seeing her alone, the woman in his arms, Ruby, seemed suddenly tasteless in comparison. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"Yes, Mr. Alden. Look at this woman, she’s so high and mighty that she doesn’t even bother to greet us."

"Hehehe, don’t be mad, just make her kneel and call you grandma."

Coaxing each other, the two of them walked out of the elevator, laughing coquettishly as they entered Ruby’s room.

Since that day, Mr. Alden always used the excuse of being an investor to get close to Moira Young on set. Unfortunately, Joe was always quick-witted enough to defuse the situation. Even though he was accompanied by Ruby at night, something just didn’t feel right.

"How about wearing a mask today?" Mr. Alden said, dragging Ruby into the bathroom as soon as she returned to the room, coaxing her as he spoke.

Ruby gritted her teeth hard. She knew it. This man’s mind had been wandering these past few nights, not as enthusiastic as before, and he wouldn’t come to her on set, always finding ways to get close to Moira Young. He truly had his eyes on that shameless woman.

Hmph, a mask, good. She’ll pretend to be Moira’s substitute, let this old man have a taste, and if he can’t forget it, he’ll go directly to that woman.

Hugging Mr. Alden, she entwined herself around him with a coquettish smile. "Sure, didn’t I promise you that you can do whatever you want?"

"Oh, don’t worry. I’ll make sure that woman looks good."

He said this while carrying her to the bedroom, personally putting on the mask he had prepared for Ruby, and pulling her under the covers.

The next day, the crew went out to shoot on location.

The weather was sunny and the breeze was cool. Moira Young, sitting comfortably on a small chair, squinted slightly with a smile on her lips.

Sitting far away, Mr. Alden watched Moira bask in the sunlight, her surroundings glowing with a golden aura. Her rosy lips and sweet smile made her entire being seem to shine, causing his gaze to become fixed, his tongue licking his lips as his adam’s apple moved forcefully.

"Moira, it’s your turn." The director off set waved his hand and called out from behind.

Moira Young stood up, adjusted her emotions, and walked over seriously.

Two hours later: "Cut."

"Very good. You both acted well. We’re done with the morning scenes, go and get some rest."

Moira Young nodded at Aiden Webb and walked off set calmly.

"Will you join me?"

She smiled at Aiden Webb. "No thanks, I’ve been eating with you every day. I want to eat while watching a movie today, hehe."

Taking the cup of water his assistant brought, Aiden Webb shrugged and nodded, signaling her to go.

Moira Young waved, taking Joe along as they headed to the dormitory.

"Moira, I want to watch with you too."

Pinching Joe’s cheek, she said, "Of course, two people can discuss the storyline."

"Miss Young, what a coincidence."

As they walked, they were stopped by Mr. Alden, who suddenly appeared in their path.

"Do you need something, Mr. Alden?" Moira Young said coldly.

Mr. Alden laughed lewdly, stepping forward a few steps. "It’s nothing, I just wanted to show Miss Young the way."

Moira Young pulled Joe back two steps, indifferent and silent.

"No need to be so tense, it’s nothing difficult. Just follow me, and I guarantee you’ll be the lead actress in every movie and TV series from now on," he said, rubbing his hands as he stepped forward a few more steps. "What do you say, Miss Young? This road is smooth, isn’t it?"

"Bullshit! Who do you think you are, a toad wanting to eat swan meat? You should look in the mirror at what you look like." Joe, filled with anger, stepped forward and pushed Mr. Alden aside.

"Damn it, you little assistant. How dare you push me? Do you not want to work in this industry?" Mr. Alden stumbled back a few steps, urgently gripping the wall beside him, furious.

"Who do you think you are? Just because you have money doesn’t mean you’re almighty, or a CEO. I think your brain is all muddled."

Mr. Alden sneered, not wanting to waste words with such small fry, adjusting his wrinkled suit that was pushed. He walked forward a few steps, smiling lewdly again. "Miss Young, what do you think? Just agree with me, and I won’t mind about your assistant’s actions."

Moira Young coldly swept her eyes disdainfully over the person cluelessly overestimating himself, Mr. Alden. "There’s no need. I’ll take care of my assistant, and as for my acting career, it doesn’t require Mr. Alden’s concern."

She paused, then continued, "Mr. Alden, you’re not afraid of your belly getting bigger. Ruby really has no taste. It’s best for the two of you to do your business behind closed doors, lest anyone find out."

"Hmph, so you’re unwilling."

Moira Young nonchalantly lifted her eyelids, her gaze icy. "I’ve made myself clear. If Mr. Alden continues to harass me, don’t blame me for calling the police."

"Damn." He stepped forward, suddenly grabbing Moira Young’s arm. "You stinking woman, don’t mistake my kindness for weakness."

Joe panicked and hurried forward to pull him away, only to be pushed onto the ground by him.

"Joe!" Moira Young called out worriedly, trying to yank her arm free. Her other hand wasn’t idle, swinging directly toward Mr. Alden’s face.

Even though Mr. Alden had a beer belly, he used to train, so he effortlessly caught Moira Young’s swinging hand, his face clouded in shadow, eyes filled with lecherous laughter. "Moira Young, don’t mistake my kindness for weakness. If you don’t agree, don’t expect to make it in the entertainment circle anymore," he said, leaning his face toward Moira Young, taking a deep breath coquettishly, saying she smelled good.

He hadn’t finished savoring when he suddenly felt he was flying. There was a loud thud as Mr. Alden’s entire body flipped onto the floor, and Aiden Webb grabbed his collar, landing another punch.

"Looking for trouble?" Aiden Webb sinisterly said, pulling him right close, not giving Mr. Alden a chance.

Realizing it was Aiden Webb, Mr. Alden quickly pleaded, "Mr. Webb, no no, it’s a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding."

Joe scrambled up from the side, running to look Moira up and down, then turned to accuse Mr. Webb, "It wasn’t like that. He tried to make a deal with Moira to follow him and said all the lead roles would be hers. He was trying to coerce Moira."

Mr. Alden covered his chest with his hands, awkwardly smiling.

Mr. Webb was still fearful of Aiden Webb.

"Really? I didn’t know Mr. Alden had such capabilities. Maybe I should follow you too, Mr. Alden."

"Hehe, misunderstanding, misunderstanding. It was just a joke," he said, looking up at Moira Young beside him. "Don’t take it seriously, just a joke. It’s so hot, hehe, just blowing off some steam."
