Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 201: Professor Garrich’s accusation
Andria’s POV
The moment I reached the main school block, I froze.
Everyone was already there.
Aven, Damon, Tristan.
Allison, Sir Kaelric, the headmistress
And beside her, Professor Garrich, who was now the new vice headmaster.
Their faces were tense; it seemed they had never experienced this before, or, if they had, it only reminded them of something they hoped would never happen again.
The moment Aven saw me, he stepped forward. "Aria..."
But Sir Kaelric lifted a hand. "Let her come, she was also summoned."
I swallowed hard and approached them.
Allison rushed to my side. "Aria, do you know what’s going on? They wouldn’t let us see anything."
Sir Kaelric’s eyes met mine, cold and dark as if he were reading me like a book.
"I know where to find them," I whispered into her ear, the words tumbling out before I could coordinate my speech. "I know who caused the fire. I saw it."
Allison jerked toward me, confused. "Saw? How do you mean you..."
But Kaelric spoke before she could finish.
"I was way ahead of you."
My breath caught.
He stepped closer, leaning in, his voice lowering to a whisper, brushing against my ear like silk and steel intertwined.
"I know Liara came to rescue Jackson tonight."
I froze completely.
He continued, even softer.
"I arrived before she escaped. She started the fire when she realized she was cornered." His lips were so close to my ear I felt the vibration of his words. "And I caught them both."
My entire body froze. He was the voice in my little trance that I couldn’t find his face. Even in my dreams, he is still very mysterious.
He leaned back just enough for our eyes to meet.
"I read your mind," he said simply.
A cold chill ran down my spine.
I know your true powers have begun to manifest. That’s part of being a Lunara-blooded she-wolf."
My breath crumbled.
His voice deepened to a whisper again. "You see visions now."
My chest tightened painfully. "I... I don’t know what’s happening to me."
"You will." His expression softened for half a second, then sharpened again. "In time, even more powers will manifest. Maybe you must have heard the myth surrounding the last Lunara-blooded she-wolf."
I swallowed, trying to steady my voice and change the topic. "Where are they now? Liara and Jackson?"
"In my office," he replied. "Locked and under watch."
I nodded slowly.
Allison squeezed my arm gently. She wanted answers, too, but there was no space for explanations.
The headmistress stepped forward. "Aria, do you understand why you were summoned?"
I shook my head. "No, not yet. Still trying to wrap my head around all this and why I have been summoned."
But as I spoke, Professor Garrich’s sharp, grating voice cut through the tension.
"Well, I do."
My jaw clenched.
Of course.
He stepped forward, eyes locked on me with cold scrutiny, the ugly kind that wasn’t hidden beneath polite professionalism. He had always looked at me like I was a ticking bomb.
It seemed today, he finally found an excuse to light the fuse.
"Aria," he said slowly, like tasting something bitter, "we have several unresolved matters that, in my assessment, directly relate to tonight’s events."
I stiffened. "What matters?"
I hope he wasn’t going to bring up Tracy’s case in my face. He has been strangely awkward since Tracy was dismissed from Ashwood.
"The incident before the kissing booth," Garrich said, folding his arms. "Surely that rings a bell?" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Allison sucked in a breath, staring at him in disbelief. "That has been a long time from now, what does that have to do with..."
He cut her off.
"And the cafeteria incident. Both of them."
The first cafeteria incident? How do they all connect to Liara burning the school property down, just to rescue a fake mate in detention?
Can’t tell if he was talking about the incident at the royal cafeteria where Liara snapped at Allison, and I had to intervene.
Or the incident and the general cafeteria where Jackson stood up to the Alpha successors, insulting Aven’s sister and denying their mate bond, and Aven had to beat him. Somehow, I was mixed in them, but what did it have to do with this?
Prof. Garrich’s eyes narrowed. "In my professional opinion, these incidents align with the sudden, drastic change in Liara and Jackson’s behavior."
He tilted his head slightly, like a predator studying a cornered prey.
"And all of these events," he continued, "seem to occur when you are present."
My stomach dropped.
Allison took a step forward, furious. "That’s unfair, and not right..."
Garrich raised a hand, silencing her effortlessly.
The look he gave me was venomous.
"From the very first day you walked into my classroom," he said quietly, "I knew there was something... off about you, and I warned you to stay out of trouble, and yet you paid me deaf ears. Somehow, every chaos in Ashwood has you inside. Speaks badly about the school that the student council president always gets into trouble."
My fingers curled into fists at my sides.
The headmistress frowned. Aven growled under his breath. Damon’s eyes darkened. Tristan shifted his stance.
But Prof. Garrich didn’t care.
"You are the student council president now," he said, voice tightening, "and I am the vice headmaster. Which means," he leaned forward slightly, "you and I will be having many conversations."
His eyes glinted sharply.
"Starting now."
Everything in me recoiled.
Something deep in my chest, instinct, power or fear, and I shuddered violently.
The air felt very tense, and it became harder for me to breathe correctly.
"Enough." Sir Kaelric’s voice cut through the tension like a blade.
Everyone turned to him. But he wasn’t looking at any of them; he was looking directly at me.
Something unreadable flickered in his eyes.
Before anyone could speak, a loud crackling sound echoed somewhere deep inside the building.
We all froze. Prof Garrich’s eyes widened.
The headmistress gasped.
Aven, Damon, and Tristan shifted instantly, instincts kicking in.
Allison grabbed my arm.
And Sir Kaelric’s expression finally changed.
For the first time today, he looked surprised.
"What was that?" Allison whispered.
No one knew, but it came from the direction of Sir Kaelric’s office.
Where Liara and Jackson were supposed to be locked.
