They gazed at a pillar in the distance when Uncle Jian stopped at the outreaches of the city.

"This is as far as I am allowed to go." He informed them. "Land spirit masters not here to undertake the sea god exams cannot leave City borders. Just follow Master Yuan; do not lose him. It will be huge trouble if you do."

"Got it." Tang Yin did a salute.

"I have understood." Yu Hua bowed.

Then, the two of them continued. Following Master Yuan, who led them further and further into the distance, speeding up as they entered the thickly grown forest and then stood before several small lakes on a cliff that opened the free view to the sea with a large power like pillar structure rising into the sky and vanishing behind the clouds.

"The rest is up to you." Master Yuan said and then stepped back and nodded at them. "You have to get across on your own."

"Oh, that should be easy." Tang Yin smiled when Yu Hua's arm stopped her from stepping onto the water to run across.

"Wait, " he said and then gazed at the water before clicking his tounge and then bowed to the lake. "We greet you. I am Yu Hua this is Tang Yin. Both of us are honored to meet you."

"Yu Hua...there is no one here?" Tang Yin looked at him, puzzled by his behaviour.

"There is." He pointed out. "Look at the water not only with your eyes but your Spirit power as well."

Tang Yin activated her purple demonic eye and saw the sheen of spirit power covering the water in front of her. "Ohhh, " she said. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

"See what I mean? " he said, and then an awkward smile spread on his face. "It's a spirit domain. I have seen them before, not like this, but I have. It was a uncomfortable experience so I learned to watch out for them."

Tang Yin tilted her head. "Is it dangerous?"

"Yes." He said. "Very much so. But still, I'd be pleased to see whom we are dealing with."

A figure formed out of the water. A tall man with Grey black hair and a keen gaze.

"Interesting, most would not have noticed. Let me introduce myself I am Seahorse Douluo the guardian of this place." he introduced himself, looking at them." You are too young for this test. I believe it best of you leave." Tang Yin mustered him as he continued. "This is not for children."

Yu Hua took a deep breath and bowed to him. "We are here to take the ocean gods' test; please do not refuse us."

The man sighed. "I will not object to you taking it, but she is far too young—a child, not even a teenager yet."

Tang Yin rolled her shoulders and then took a breath, releasing her spirit power. Four rings formed around her as she looked at the man. "I believe I qualify even if I am young, " she said, and the man mustered her rings.

"How old are you?" He asked her, and she raised her head.

"Twelve."

"A child. But alright. If you two make it through these waters to thowards the tower I will ask the sea god to give you a test. But know, there is no guarantee he will give you one as you are a child." He looked at Tang Yin. "These tests are matters of life and death, not games."

"I understand." Tang Yin nodded and looked at Yu Hua. "How long would you need to carry me across at your highest speed?"

"30 seconds, " he said and looked over the water. "Maybe 40, if I'm being pessimistic."

"Good. Can you carry me across so I can deflect what is coming?" she asked him, and he raised an eyebrow.

"I could. The question is will it work." glanced at the water. "I am not to confident about it."

"It has to. Or we can go separate ways, and I lead, and you follow, but I am not as fast as you are." she asked.

"I think that may be better. Thay way even if one fails the other can make it." Yu Hua said, and she nodded.

"Alright, version 2 it is. Stick close behind, " she said and took a deep breath and gazthered her spirit power.

[Silver Breakers]

Her hands were enclosed in her blue silver grass, and the breakers formed. Then she took a deep breath. Adding another spirit ability ontop of it.

[Weave]

She stretched out her hands, and spider-thin blue silver grass stretched out over the water, many, many of them from all sides. Then Tang Yin started running.

Yu Hua's petals were everywhere obscuring the sight of their enemy confusing and causing damage whenever he set them aflame, as they barreled forward. The waters beneath them started to rage.

Sea animals jumped from it, trying to catch them. Whenever one strand of Tang Yins weave ripped, they switched to another as Tang Yin kept them spreading them out more and more. Yu Hua's petals transformed all at once into flames, burning their attackers providing them a form of shield, and Tang Yin's fists became things that punched away their enemies.

When a shark came too close, Yu Hua was not about to make it, so she stretched out her hand.

[Thorns]

Spikes came from the weaved structure and pierced the spirit beast's thick skin. Tang Yin, though, avoided anything lethal as they kept on running.

Tang Yin ducked when she heard a gasp from Yu Hua, who had been caught by a spirit beast. Turning, she catapulted herself backward and then raised her fist, thundering it into the water before twisting on her toes and fueling spirit power.

She grabbed Yu Hua and threw him forward before taking a deep breath and dashing towards the platform using ghostly trace.

Everything slowed down as she was attacked from the side. Gritting her teeth, she glanced at it.

[Lock]

The drain was immediate, as she kept it activated for just a second and ended up rolling off on the plattform ending on her feet panting. She grinned at Yu Hua in front of her, giving him a thumbs-up.

"Done it. Can we get that test now?" she asked the Seahorse Douluo and he looked at her with unhidden intrigue.

"Yes. Do you know about the test rankings?" He asked them, and Tang Yin nodded.

"From the lowest to the highest. White, Yellow, Purple, Black and Red."

"Correct, " he said. " I will be giving you tests as agreed but I ask again. Are you certain? You are risking your life."
