Chapter 351 - Team Rocket’s Second-in-Command! [351]
Pokémon School
Standing at the podium on his first day as a teacher, Luo Yuan felt an odd mix of excitement and novelty.
Below him, the students sat with curious expressions, their faces all familiar.
Kiawe, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles... along with Lillie and Ash, the cast for the Sun and Moon arc was practically complete.
While Luo Yuan observed them, the students were busy scrutinizing him.
The principal had told them that a new teacher named Luo Yuan would be instructing them today. However, seeing how young he was, they couldn't help but feel skeptical.
Luo Yuan could tell by their faces that Samson Oak hadn't mentioned his title as Johto Elite Four.
But he didn't mind. Soon enough, his teaching would prove to them that he was more than qualified.
Still, where were Lillie and Sabrina?
Luo Yuan glanced at Lillie's empty seat.
The other students had also noticed her absence. Lillie, who had never been late before, was missing today. Concern began to grow among them.
Did something happen to her?
Just as they were starting to worry, the door swung open with a loud whoosh.
Lillie appeared, dressed in her signature white dress, but her expression was unusually tense. As she walked in, she kept glancing nervously behind her.
Her behavior caught the attention of her classmates, who followed her gaze to the door.
And then they saw something they would never forget.
Sabrina, tall and elegant with her long hair flowing and heels clicking softly on the floor, entered the room. Behind her floated a dozen Team Skull grunts, their bodies stiff, their mouths unable to move, with only their eyes darting around wildly. They trailed behind Sabrina like balloons on invisible strings, eventually piling up in the classroom's trash corner.
"We ran into a bit of trouble on the way, which delayed us," Sabrina said with a radiant smile directed at Luo Yuan.
Her serene demeanor left the students wide-eyed. In their minds, Sabrina was instantly branded as beautiful, dangerous, and deadly.
"That entrance gets 82 points," Luo Yuan sent through a telepathic compliment.
Compared to his own bland introduction, Sabrina's arrival was spectacular.
But the surprises weren't over yet.
"What's with these Team Skull grunts?" Luo Yuan asked, gesturing at the pile in the corner.
He had just dealt with some of them the day before—why were they causing trouble again?
"We encountered them blocking the road, so I brought them along," Sabrina said lightly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "But leaving them here might disrupt your lesson."
"True," Luo Yuan agreed, noticing that all the students, including Lillie, kept glancing uneasily at the heap of grunts.
If they stayed like this, the class wouldn't get anywhere.
"I'll handle it," Sabrina said.
The students braced themselves, expecting her to use the same method to float the grunts out.
Instead, with a casual wave of her hand, a soft white glow enveloped the corner.
When the light faded, the grunts were gone—replaced by a stack of chibi-style Team Skull plushies.
"....."
The room fell into a stunned silence.
That has to be magic! There's no way it's not magic!
Finally remembering it was his first day as a teacher, Luo Yuan turned to his shell-shocked students and said, "I almost forgot to introduce her—this is my assistant, Sabrina. She'll be helping me with lessons for the foreseeable future."
Before they could process this, Luo Yuan smiled mischievously.
"I hope everyone will cooperate in my class. If not, well, I can't promise Sabrina won't step in."
"....."
Even Kiawe, who prided himself on his bravery, broke into a cold sweat. He swallowed hard, not wanting to end up as a plush toy.
The Alolan classroom's usual relaxed atmosphere vanished in an instant, replaced by a strict, almost Kanto-like discipline.
Satisfied, Luo Yuan nodded.
"Let's begin Alola's cultural exchange with the most effective teaching method—drills!"

"Question: Based on Professor Elm's Egg Group theory, Poliwag belongs to the Water 1 group, and Salamence belongs to the Dragon group. As a trainer, which Pokémon would you choose to breed with them to maximize efficiency in hatching Pokémon Eggs? Lana, you answer this one."
Lana's face paled as she racked her brain, desperately piecing together what she knew. Finally, she ventured a guess:
"Dragonair?"
It seemed like the logical choice—a Pokémon tied to both water and dragons.
"Eighty percent of people would choose Dragonair for this question," Luo Yuan said.
Lana exhaled in relief.
But then his tone shifted.
"However... this is a classic trap question!"
Lana froze.
"Most people jump to Dragonair because of the Water and Dragon connection," Luo Yuan continued, "but the question doesn't specify the genders of Poliwag and Salamence. What if one is male and the other female? Which gender of Dragonair would you pick?"
"Then... then what Pokémon should be used, Professor?" Lana retorted, unwilling to back down.
"Questioning assumptions is a good habit," Luo Yuan praised. "It's through questioning the known that humanity advances."
"But questioning just to vent frustration will only hinder your progress. The correct answer is Ditto. As a genderless Pokémon with its own unique Egg Group, Ditto can breed with any Pokémon except those in the Undiscovered or Ditto groups."
Lana's confidence took a direct hit, and her metaphorical ship sank.
"Next question: You're exploring a cave when three Pokémon block your path—a Zubat with a broken wing, an Exploud playing in the mud, and a Trapinch napping with its body buried in the ground. As a new trainer with only a Squirtle, how would you safely capture your first Pokémon? Kiawe, you're up."
Battle questions were more Kiawe's style. He stood confidently, ready to answer.
