"God we did it, Arthur we did it. We killed a tier two." Caleb said hugging Arthur excitedly. Kneeling he couldn’t feel anything, as if he had been stripped of all sensation.

Still he managed to whisper to Caleb, "Return to the hall with the rest of the squad, you have been dismissing from duty." Then he went still.

He had turned won, the zombie lay before him unmoving and it had also helped Arthur level up four solid times. So far this was the most appalling battle.

The entire group celebrated, jumping with joy and hugging each other, Caleb had left him staring blankly at the corpse. He looked at his bloody shaking palms, the dagger in his grasp, the weapon which had saved him. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

’ After to killing my father, what must happen next cannot be avoided.’ Sinking his hand through the zombie, Arthur retrieved an orb from the body and crushed it.

With a sigh he rose, David was already been supported on both sides by both Mary and Blessed. They helped him out of the class and into the courtyard.

"Artsy why the hell are you standing there staring at us. Have you turned, please don’t, we would all die before touching your zombie." David joked and the girls laughed heartily.

However there wasn’t an atom of a smile of Arthur’s face, his current objective would cause either the fall or stability of the hall.

His squad had gone forward as ordered, they hadn’t been injured too severely from the battle. David’s cohort hadn’t noticed this so they kept on with celebrating and tending to injuries.

Arthur moved closer.

"Mark, Simon why are you all seated on the grass. You can rest in the hall when we get there." David said earning a cheer from his cohort.

The boys rose surrounding David as they chatted and laughed to Arthur’s hearing. He maintained some distance, limping and clutching his bleeding abdomen.

"Did you see me Dave. I held a tier two zombie down..." Mark said but was cut off by Eli, " For two point four seconds, before getting yeeted to the ground."

"Yeah but at least he wasn’t knocked out of the fight without doing anything. How’s your belly by the way, cause that stomp rattled my bones." Jonah said.

" Is this Mr fortune teller speaking." Simon said forgetting his usual shy voice due to happiness. "Could you guys please stop arguing." Mary complained looking at the boys behind them.

"Ohhh my queen am so sorry, please forgive me." Eli teased causing Mary’s face to turn bright red. "Aww, she’s blushing, don’t be upset second queen Blessed we still..." "Ohh shut up." Blessed shunned cutting Eli off.

The boys laughing heartily including David who got stepped on by Mary. " Ow! Quit teasing them guys, save your strengths for uniting the hall."

Arthur slowed down but continued moving.

"Let’s be realistic for a moment David, how do you intend to unify the hall, Because according to what Arthur said, there are already four rulers. And I am not sure your presence would just make them submit and kiss your ass." Eli said.

David chuckled lightly. "It sounds as if you don’t support me willingly Eli. I would approch them peacefully, if violence is needed I would follow that path.

And I am very sure we are the strongest cohort in this school. None of us are under level ten and I am in level fourteen." He let the words sink in before continuing.

"We have the most practical abilities than the people of the hall, if you doubt me reminisce about Arthur’s squad. So no stress, we even have Arthur by outside, right Artsy."

Everything turned to Arthur who was far behind them, arms folded feet tightly clasped together, staring at their backs ever since with a calm but deadly expression.

His presence alone made it know to David that he wasn’t an ally anymore, talk more of a friend. His posed stance was stiff and unwelcoming, his aura brimming with malevolence.

"Is that so." He said as his feet slowly left the ground, he levitated slightly but the group could tell due to distance. "Arthur what is this, what are you doing." David said escaping the grasp of the girls.

Limping forward, " Isn’t that what this is about. Bringing the hall together for maximum survival." Arthur scoffed, "I seriously don’t know why you were made Head boy, apart form academic knowledge, I am unsure if you possess common reasoning."

David’s face turned into pure shock. "But Arthur you can’t do this we have been friends since second year, we..." Arthur burst into a controlled laughter.

" Friends, Pfft, Don’t make me laugh a second time. Only idiots call our relationship friendship, it’s purely master and servant." With his voice dripping with darkness, "And that ends now."

Mary and Blessed ran up to David’s side, "Please don’t do this Arthur, we don’t have to argue over nothing." Mary cried. "Argue? I just need you to make the decision here and now. When we reach the hall, would you silently say hi to all the leaders and find a group and join, or would you attempt your foolish plan and allow me lead you and your cohort to hell?" Arthur announced.

Silence washed over everywhere. David slowly lowered his head for a few moments and began chuckling. His chuckle soon upgraded into a menacing laugh.

Raising his head in defiance David replied, "You already know my answer Arthur, so let’s get this over with." His fist began glowing and everyone got ready for the final battle.
