That Time My Anime Life Got Cursed by Outer Gods-Chapter 76 - 75: New Strings and Silent Storms
Chapter 76 - 75: New Strings and Silent Storms
Among the Nakano sisters, only Miku held a club leaflet tightly in her hands, doing her best to hide it from the others.
Shiro Sakamaki glanced over and chuckled inwardly. It was probably a history or Warring States-themed club—totally her style. But knowing Miku's reserved personality, she was clearly too shy to admit it, especially in front of her sisters.
Not that it mattered. Once she joined, they'd all find out sooner or later.
Shiro returned to class, where Yukinoshita Yukino was already seated quietly, absorbed in a literary novel. She didn't say a word, her serene expression making her look even more graceful. Just by sitting there, she attracted glances from several boys around the room.
But not everyone was so welcoming.
Across the classroom, a few girls exchanged glances and whispered. Their expressions weren't kind—jealousy, perhaps, or something more vindictive.
"Morning, Yukino."
She didn't respond, her gaze unmoving from the page.

Unbothered, Shiro sat at his desk and pulled out his notebook, continuing to work on his novel.
As he expected, the boy who tried to pick a fight with him yesterday was nowhere to be seen. Yukino, sharp as ever, noticed the absence. She gave Shiro a subtle glance, her eyes thoughtful.
Several boys who knew the backstory watched Shiro with subtle apprehension. They didn't know what had happened between him and the other student, but they could put two and two together.
The guy had come to provoke Shiro. Now, he was out of school with a fractured ankle, while Shiro was here, perfectly fine.
Even without proof, the message was loud and clear.
Hiratsuka Shizuka strode into the classroom, scanning the seats until her gaze landed on Shiro. She gave him a stern, almost exasperated look.
Shiro returned a harmless shrug and an innocent smile.
She sighed inwardly. After the student had taken leave, she'd gone to check on him and pieced together what really happened. While she had scolded Shiro for being too harsh, she also knew—if he'd wanted to go all out, there'd be nothing left of the other boy but ashes.
Lunch Break – Shuchiin Academy's Garden
Instead of going to the cafeteria, Shiro took his lunchbox and wandered into the school's back garden.
Shuchiin Academy wasn't just known for academics—it boasted one of the most beautiful campus environments in the city. The garden was bursting with seasonal blooms, creating a vibrant, almost surreal atmosphere. Fountains, sculptures, and artistic landscaping dotted the area, making it a popular dating spot.
It was also where the student council often caught couples in the act of youthful romance.
Shiro found a quiet bench and sat down, enjoying his food. While others saw the garden as a romantic haven, he appreciated it simply for its peaceful beauty.
As club activities began that afternoon, Shiro packed up his manuscript and glanced at his messages. A contract from Machida Sonoko had already been sent to Haruno.
Just as he was about to decide where to go, a message from Hiratsuka popped up.
> "Office. Now."
Shiro assumed she had another errand or side gig for him. After the money from Gojo Satoru had come in so smoothly, he wasn't hurting for cash—but who ever complained about having too much?
Still, when he arrived at the office, something felt... off.
Inside, several girls were gathered around Hiratsuka. The moment the door opened, all eyes turned toward him—hopeful, pleading.
Click.
Shiro immediately shut the door.
Seconds later, it flew open again. A girl with short brown hair and a wide smile—Ritsu Tainaka—grabbed his sleeve before he could escape.
The other girls looked like abandoned kittens, eyes shimmering with expectation.

A Few Minutes Later
"I'm telling you, this is too much," Shiro groaned.
Hiratsuka folded her arms. "And I'm telling you, it's your own fault for being so talented."
She explained the situation: the Light Music Club was on the verge of being disbanded. It needed five members to stay active, but so far there were only four—Ritsu Tainaka, Mio Akiyama, Yui Hirasawa, and Tsumugi Kotobuki. The second guitarist, Nakano Azusa, hadn't entered high school yet.
As the club advisor, Hiratsuka had been at her wit's end. So naturally, she thought of Shiro.
"You don't know how good you have it," she grumbled. "That club is full of pretty girls."
Shiro muttered under his breath, "Gee, thanks. You want it? You join."
Before he could finish, Hiratsuka's iron fist came flying. Shiro casually blocked the blow, the force of the clash sending papers scattering across the office.
She blinked. His counter was stronger than before. She didn't say anything, not in front of the others—but she definitely noticed.
"You could at least pretend I'm your teacher," she muttered, rubbing her sore arm.
"I am pretending."
Her forehead twitched.
In the end, Shiro agreed—reluctantly—to join the Light Music Club.
---
They walked together to the old school building behind the garden. After the new building was completed, this area had become a hub for clubs.
The Light Music Clubroom was located in the last classroom on the top floor.
"There's no way we're getting shut down now!" Ritsu cheered, skipping ahead excitedly.
As they entered, she turned to him with a grin. "Welcome! I'm Ritsu Tainaka, club president. Looking forward to working with you."
"I'm Mio Akiyama," said the dark-haired girl, bowing politely.
"I'm Yui Hirasawa! Thanks for joining!" beamed the airheaded guitarist.
"And I'm Kotobuki Tsumugi," said the elegant blonde with a warm smile. "Long time no see, Shiro-kun."
