That Time My Anime Life Got Cursed by Outer Gods-Chapter 95 - 94: A True Hero
Chapter 95 - 94: A True Hero
As soon as Hiratsuka-sensei left, several girls immediately gathered around Shiro, their eyes filled with concern.
Over the past half month, the group had grown familiar with one another, forming the beginnings of a close-knit bond.
"What exactly did you do?" someone asked with worry.
Shiro blinked, a little confused by their expressions. "What do you mean?"
"Shiro-kun," Tsumugi asked carefully, "what happened? The way Hiratsuka-sensei spoke just now... it sounded pretty serious."
"D-Did you go to the underworld and beat someone up?" Yui blurted out, eyes wide in alarm.
"Yakuza!?" Mio gasped, going pale. "S-Shiro-kun joined the Yakuza?!"
"...No way," Tsumugi said calmly, though she couldn't help smiling at the dramatic reaction.
"Shiro-kun doesn't seem like someone who would do that kind of thing."
Shiro rubbed his temples. The direction their thoughts had gone was absurd, but he didn't have the heart to scold them.
"It's nothing big," he reassured them. "Just a little incident. I was trying to help someone out. I'm sure the school will handle it."
Even so, no one looked convinced. After all, they'd heard Hiratsuka-sensei loud and clear: the school was under pressure, and Shiro might be expelled.
The atmosphere turned gloomy, and no one touched the tea or snacks anymore.
Ritsu sighed. "We just got all our members together... and now Shiro-kun's about to be expelled? What kind of bad luck is this?"
Bonk!
"Ow—Mio! Why'd you hit me?!"
Mio said, arms crossed, "if you don't have anything helpful to say, just don't talk."
"We don't even know what'll happen yet. Why are you already giving him the boot?"
Tsumugi quickly stepped in to ease the tension. "Alright, let's not argue. There's nothing we can do right now. Let's wait for the school's decision before we panic." ƒгeewёbnovel.com
Though no one came up with a solution, the genuine concern in their words warmed Shiro's heart.
"Enough," he finally said. "Sitting around won't change anything. Let's take a break and start practice."
To Shiro, the situation wasn't that big of a deal. Worst-case scenario, he'd transfer schools—hardly the end of the world. But apologize? Not a chance. That suggestion was laughable.
Knock knock knock.
While the group was still talking, there was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Ritsu called.
The door opened... and Yukinoshita Yukino stepped in.
Word of the incident had spread through the school that afternoon. As someone directly involved, Yukino knew what had happened.
Feeling responsible, she had asked Hiratsuka-sensei where Shiro was and made her way to the clubroom.
But the moment she stepped in, she saw Shiro surrounded by four beautiful girls, all looking concerned.
"...Sorry. I seem to have come at a bad time."
She turned to leave, but Ritsu rushed over and grabbed her hand. "No, no! Don't be shy—come join us! We have snacks!"
Yui leaned in and whispered, "She's really pretty..."
Tsumugi smiled knowingly. "Maybe she's Shiro-kun's girlfriend?"
"Ehh?!"
Yukino, now pulled into the room by Ritsu's enthusiasm, looked a bit flustered. It was obvious she wasn't used to this kind of attention.
"Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Yukinoshita Yukino, a classmate of Shiro-kun."
"Nice to meet you!" Ritsu said brightly. "I'm Ritsu Tainaka, president of the Light Music Club!"
"I'm Akiyama Mio."
"Kotobuki Tsumugi."
"Yui Hirasawa!"
Then came the inevitable question—
"So, Yukinoshita-san," Ritsu asked curiously, "what's your relationship with Shiro-kun?"
Shiro looked over, interested in how she'd respond.
Yukino paused, considering her words. Finally, she said, "Just classmates. Shiro helped me out the other day... that's how this whole thing started."
"Oh! A hero saving the damsel in distress!" Ritsu gasped.
"A true hero!" Tsumugi's eyes sparkled with admiration.
Shiro facepalmed. "Don't start making stuff up. I just happened to run into an acquaintance and helped out. That's it."
He glanced at Yukino, silently asking if she wanted to share the full story. She met his gaze and nodded without hesitation.
So Shiro explained what had happened that day—though he left out the more extreme parts. Like, say, kicking down the sports equipment room door.
