The Absolute beast Tamer-Chapter 108: SEE YOU IN A MONTH
Dr. Han: "Yeah, the vacation thingy did not work; look at their faces when they got out."
Lieutenant Rock: "It is a big decision, and they need some peace of mind to make it; we have all been there and done that."
Dr. Han: "Yeah, I still want to rip the throat of the lieutenant in charge of my group. I spend the whole month agonizing over whether to risk it and enter the combat division or become a doctor like my parents wanted. Nice old memories, aren't they?"
The sudden statement changed the color on the lieutenant's face. He felt as if he had been insulted but could not fire back at all.

Lieutenant Rock: "Ahem!! Whatever choice you made, now you can tell it is the right one."
Dr. Han: "I hope they do make the right choice."
One after another, all the seeds went inside and had their sit-down with the advisor. The relief that they felt earlier completely evaporated, leaving a huge question and many doubts about the future.
Something that they will have to face sooner than later.
.....
Evening of the same day.
Everyone decided to meet in room 80, as they will be heading out tomorrow to start their vacation.
No. 80: "33, bring some snacks from the top drawer in that cabin."
Alan: "This one."
No. 80: "Yep, I love those hot potato fingers; I eat them every day."
Alan: "That is not healthy."
No. 80: "We all have to have a cheat day, don't we? It is everyday for me"
The room's door opened as the rest of the seeds came in.
No. 17: "Oh, there's snacks."
No. 18: "That is very considerate of you, number 80."
No. 25: "I brought some with me too."
The last one to enter was the silent number nine, who surprised everyone by appearing here and answering their invitation, which many thought would not come.
The room was very small, completely cramped with everyone barely finding a place to sit down.
No. 80: "We are leaving tomorrow, and we will meet in a month of time. A side note: I did not like that advisor."
No. 17: "Although it is unreasonable, I agree with you. The moment he laid the possibilities in front of us, I was utterly confused. How come we did not know about this?"
No. 18: "Duh, it is a clandestine organization."
No. 25: "So what are you all going to do?"
The straightforward number 25 asked the most vital question that many gathered in this room did not have an answer to.
Surprisingly, someone immediately gave a straight answer with no doubt in their tone of voice.
No. 9: "I will proceed with the trial to join the combat division. That's why I joined this organization in the first place."
No. 80: "You know what you want, but you should do it after reading the information package in the documents given to us by the advisor. You should ask yourself if you are willing to risk it."
No. 9: "From day one in here, that was my goal: either I make it or I die trying.
But that is me; I knew what I wanted, and I knew the risk.
No one should feel pressured to do something against their well-being just because they want to keep up with me or anyone else in the group.
This is the path to our future lives, so we better be careful when choosing."
No. 17: "Whoa, this is probably the longest I have heard you talk, but you're right; I have some thoughts too, as I want to join the intelligence division under the auxiliary and support departments. I admired instructor Alina a lot."
No. 25: "You all might be surprised, but I am not going to join the trial for the combat division. I actually want to study forging; hopefully in the future I can become a blacksmith who can forge divine ENA weapons."
No. 80: "No way, I thought a musclehead like you would probably join the trial. Now that's a surprise."
No. 18: "You guys look like you have figured it out, but I don't know yet; I need to think more carefully about it."
Number 18, who was always the most competitive in the group, said so as she looked straight at number 9, who she has been chasing ever since they joined this program.
No. 80: "You're not alone; I am completely confused too, and I don't know which road to choose yet."
Alan: "Ahh, guys, What are you talking about??"
No. 80: "S*** 33 does not know; did we spell a secret intelligence just like that?"
No. 9: "No need to make a big deal. He will be graduating in a month, so even if he knew now there's not much of a difference, we better tell him after all. He was excluded from the meeting with the advisor."
No. 17: "I agree with you, number nine. Here's what happened 33 first…"
Number 17 was the most engaging in all the groups, as she could get along with anyone. Being the youngest after Alan, she was always the little sister of the whole group, so she took it upon herself to act like a big sister as a change and inform Alan about everything that's happened in the meeting with the advisor.
Alan: "So it's just like picking up a career; there are three main categories that we can choose from: one auxiliary and support, two production-based, and three combat division."
No. 80: "Exactly, but if you choose the third option and proceed to join the combat division, you have to go through a trial that has a very high mortality rate, reaching up to 80%. That's why this decision is important."
As he summarized everything, he was surprised to find out all the hellish training that he and the others had been through was actually nothing more than a basic training regimen that members of this organization had to go through.
Finding out about this refreshed his perspective on how powerful such an organization can be.
Alan: "So next month is my turn."
No80: "Oh come on, don't be sad, little brother; it's just a month. Close that eye and open another, and you will find the month went by in a flash."
Alan: "It's okay, senior; I'm good."
No. 17: "Well, 33, if you are good, how about you make us dinner? We are leaving tomorrow, and only God knows when we will be able to eat your food again."
Suddenly he felt all the eyes in the room concentrated on him as if this was the collective demand of everyone, facing all these expectations. He could not help but deliver as he started cooking dinner in another room while number 18 and number 9 helped him.
All the seeds had a blast of a night, as they stayed up late eating and talking and having fun. In the festival atmosphere surrounding them, there was a touch of farewell that lingered between them.
Sometimes the mouth can't say what we want to, but the eyes and actions are enough to compensate.
Everyone said goodbyes as they did not know if they would meet tomorrow morning, especially when they remembered how they were escorted into this base in the first place.
It turned out to be a tradition to bring the seeds completely unconscious, practically kidnapping them into the base.
...…
The next morning, Alan walks through the metallic corridors, which looked emptier and colder than yesterday.
Watching the door of the training room opening, a part of him was anticipating his seniors to be inside bickering with each other, number 18 challenging number 9 who would not respond, meanwhile number 80 doing something stupid while cracking a joke to ease up the air.
All these memories flashed as an involuntary smile formed on his face.
But what greeted him was the huge empty room, clear of any human presence.
Alan sighed as he started his warm-up, waiting for the instructor to come.
Soon his day of training with instructor Tony began as the two of them engaged in combat.
But what Alan did not know is that there was an uninvited guest watching behind the huge glass window that covered the viewing theater behind the room.
...…
Two men stood behind the glass as they watched the fierce fight between the instructor and his student.
It was a cutthroat engagement as the two in this fight did not give each other a single millisecond to rest as they kept using a combination after another. It took tremendous concentration to engage in such an act for a prolonged period of time.
"I understand why the higher-ups are so hung up on this seed; such a potential is almost never seen."
Lieutenant Rock: "In one month he will be graduating. He will have to sit down with you, but I think I know where his heart belongs."
Advisor Malcolm: "Such a talent can only join the compact division. That is, if he came out alive from the trial; after all, I have never heard of a traitor making it past the trial since the Holy One created it."
Lieutenant Rock's face stiffened as the it turned pale while his eyes widened in shock.
Turning his head to look at the other man in the room.
Lieutenant Rock: "Who the hell are you? His lordship did not inform me…"
Advisor Malcolm: "You and I, we both can't dictate what his lordship wants to inform us or not, as for who am I? Some things are better left as a mystery; just take it at face value. I am the seed advisor, nothing more and nothing less."
There was a sudden silence that did not last long before a terrifying pressure that caused cracks to appear all over the room radiating from the shocked lieutenant as he stared at this man who practically threatened him in his own house.
Advisor Malcolm: "Easy there, lieutenant, you and I both follow His lordship's orders, and His lordship values the talent of this seed much more than you are thinking. That's why I'm here. To find out once and for all if he was a spy or not.
And please contain your aura; it feels like I am being watched by an angry cat."
Completely discarding the intimidating aura of the lieutenant, advisor Malcolm left the room, leaving the lieutenant stunned as he turned his eyes towards the cracked glass watching seed number 33 training. He became worried and anxious as things got out of his control now.
