The Absolute beast Tamer-Chapter 117: VACATION (2)
The man held the blue box as if he was holding the holy grail, gently and carefully placing it into the handbag on his waist and leaving but not before taking a look around to confirm that he was alone.
The earlier suspicion of Alan proved to be true.
There's definitely something wrong with this couple, remembering the little girl who slept peacefully clearly from crying herself out, Alan frowned.
Alan: "There is not enough information on what the hell is going on with them; taking action against them now isn't the best option."
Like a muscle memory. His training kicked in as he logically thought of the whole scenario in front of him, choosing to observe the man leaving, yet a part of him could only remember the sleeping little girl.
Following the man, who was extremely careful as he took detours avoiding any checkpoints while keeping his awareness of his surroundings at the highest level.
Sadly for the man, that was not enough to shake off Alan's pursuit; the stealth exercises finally paid off as Alan was like a hawk stalking his victim without the man even picking up on the fact that he was followed.
Alan kept following the man until he reached cabinet number 723.
The man knocked on the door, only for the woman who was with him previously to answer.
"Who!!"
"It is me; open it."
The woman opened the door and let the man in. Then she suspiciously took a look throughout the whole corridor, confirming that there was no one, before closing the door again.
Alan from the corner at the end of the corridor came closer to the cabinet door as he tried to listen in, but the quality of the ship was really outstanding, clearly isolating the inside of the room from the outside.
Confirming that there were no other people in the corridor, Alan pointed his finger at the small window next to the door.
The Ena stirred inside him as he concentrated the flow of this mystical energy into his hand, flowing like a river right through his finger that was pointing at the window.
A blue fire ignited, coming right off the tip of his finger as the fire melted the small hole in the window.
The execution was flawless. It did not take more than 3 seconds to open the hole as he crouched down under the window, listening to the airflow coming right from the inside the room.
"You found it!!!"
"Yes, just like the instructions said, it is here right in our hands."
"Where do they want us to deliver it?"
"Our role will end up in 2 hours. The drop point is the aviation area of the destination of this ship."
"With that we have contributed greatly; we will be rewarded, right?"
"Calling it a reward is a blasphemy; we have helped the cause, and that's what is important."
"Yes, yes, you're right. But what about the girl?"
"She was our ticket for safe passage onto this ship; after the drop-off, we will get rid of her."
"Finally I can't take her crying anymore; I almost snapped her neck earlier."
"You can't be That's foolish; we still need her to pass the checkpoints in the aviation area."
"Did the holy emissary tell you anything about the plan? What will happen after we deliver the key?"
"1 megapolis, 13 large cities, 42 medium-sized cities—this huge part of the human federation will have the honor to bask in fireworks. That's all I can say for now, but all of this depends on the drop-off at the airport."
"If … if the whole plan depended on this box, why would they let weak followers like us do it?"
"Of course they won't use powerful assets; we can wiggle and move freely, undetected. That can only show you the wisdom of his holiness."
...….
Alan's expressions darkened; this was much, much bigger than he had initially thought.
The light of realization flashed by in his eyes; this was not something that he could interfere with on his own.
From what he gathered earlier, alongside his observation of the man.
These two should be 8th stage cultivators, yet they call themselves weak.
Then how strong the hell are the others that they were talking about? They mention too many places, but they did not give specifics. Together with the word fireworks, everything was clear to Alan, as he had already formed an idea of what the plan they talked about was.
The only silver lining is that the little girl will be okay for now until they finish their drop-off.
Fully understanding that this was a situation beyond his capability right now, he had to contact the authorities, but will he be informing the guards who are responsible for that safety and applying the law, or will he have to relay this information to his organization?
Even though he did not have a single way to communicate with a specific person within the organization, there was only one number that he could call in cases of emergency such as this.
The vast number of cities disturbed him, although the guards were always elite warriors who applied the law and order in today's society, but such a massive scale operation might be truly out of their jurisdictions and capabilities.
He operated his terminal as he took a look at the number designated for emergencies given to him by the organization after he signed the death waiver.
He immediately retreated away from the window, leaving the whole area, before picking a random covered corner and initiating the call.
Ring .
Ring .
Ring.
The moment the other end picked up the call, there was a stranger's question.
"How is the weather today?"
Alan: "Cloudy and dark with chances of a storm coming in."
"Designation"
Alan: "Seed number 33."
"Nature of emergency"
Alan was stumped as he did not know how to sum everything he had seen into a few words.
Alan: "Stumbling upon a conspiracy"
"Repeat the nature of the emergency."
Alan: "Conspiracy and alive anti-human operation"
"I will be forwarding the call for the officer in charge of your base for an evaluation and the confirmation, and then we will proceed from there."
Peep. Peep. Peep.
"Hello, this is Lieutenant Rock speaking. What is the emergency?"
Alan: "Lieutenant Rock, this is number 33."
Behind his desk in the gloomy office buried under the massive paperwork, suddenly getting a call from an emergency line was never a good thing.
But the moment Lieutenant Rock listened to number 33 on the other end, he felt a headache.
"Why the hell are you calling me , on an emergency line? What happened??"
Alan: "Lieutenant, Right now I am on board an airship; a highly unusual situation happened, and I have a recording that you have to listen to, so please bear with me for a minute."
One of the basic principles in the work of an intelligence officer is to document and gather enough solid information.
Recording the whole conversation was his previous training kicking in.
Alan didn't keep anything from the lieutenant as he explained everything that happened from the moment he went aboard until he played the recording of the suspicious couple talking earlier.
The more the lieutenant heard, the more his face went pale. The previous recording was a confirmation of an incoming terror attack that will be happening in the next 2 hours.
Alan: "That is all, lieutenant. What do you need me to do?
Lieutenant Rock: "This is way above our pay grade. You are talking about a megapolis. The human race only has 108 megapolis. Do you understand the large scale of such a terror attack and the devastating effect it will have on society? Plus, there was no chatter about this at all.
Stay on the line. I will get back to you immediately; stay ready to take action. That is my order."
Alan: "Affirmative, lieutenant. I will be on standby, awaiting your orders."
....
Inside the office, with a pale face, the lieutenant immediately opened another interface on his terminal. Make a call.
"This is Lieutenant Rock; we have a situation on hand, my lord."
"Talk"
...…..
The first thing that Alan did was disabling the whole surveillance cameras inside the corridor while scanning all the rooms, which happened to be empty. At the moment, but not for long, as the people will get back here soon.
He went back carefully, moving like a formless shadow with no traces left behind as he walked towards the window to listen again. Mainly it was his concern about the little girl that pushed him to do so.
"Aweeee, I want Mommy, awoooo."
"SHUT THE F*** UP! IF I HEAR YOU CRYING AGAIN, I WILL CUT THOSE LOVELY FINGERS OF YOURS. DO YOU HEAR ME? ANSWER ME!!"
Immediately the poor girl held back her cries as she stared with eyes full of tears at her horrible captor; standing back was the only thing the child could do as a protest against this kidnapper.
But that look was triggering enough for the woman.
"What the hell are you looking at?"
Pam!!
The sound of the slap that left a mark on the poor little girl's face enraged Alan.
Meanwhile, under the window, Alan had barely contained himself after listening to this abuse.
The veins on his face bulged as he clenched his fist, desperately fighting the urge to go inside and kill these two.
