The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 120: Not going to stop
’Why does she love me?’ Radulf wondered, his throat tightening. ’I was never there for her. For four years, she was nothing but a forgotten wife to me.’
The weight of his guilt pressed down on him, but before he could dwell on it further, Zenna kissed him again, pulling him back into the moment.
For a fleeting second, he nearly lost himself in her warmth, in the way she molded against him so willingly. But then, with his willpower, he pulled away.
Gently, he placed a hand over her eyes, shielding her gaze. "Don’t do this when you’re not in your right mind," he murmured in a strained voice.
He knew she wasn’t sober, that her heat had been triggered unexpectedly. If he gave in now, she might regret it the next morning. And the last thing he ever wanted was for Zenna to think he had taken advantage of her vulnerability.
With effort, Radulf suppressed his own pheromones, not wanting to affect her further. But then a troubling thought struck him, ’what about her wolf?’
’Could she sense it? Communicate with it? No, that wasn’t possible. If Zenna had found her wolf, she would be more preoccupied with her first transformation rather than the heat overtaking her body.’
His thoughts were interrupted by her soft, desperate plea.
"Don’t do that to me, Radulf," she whispered in a trembling voice, attempting to move his hand away from her eyes. "Please... I need you."
It was the first time he had ever heard her beg.
Radulf’s lips curled into an amused smile. The feisty omega, the one who always had sharp claws ready for him, was now pleading for his help in her heat. It was almost unbelievable. But the way she was tempting him was hard to resist.
They finally arrived at the Shadow Hunter Pack estate, and Radulf exhaled in relief. He had managed to keep Zenna in control—just barely.
As the carriage came to a halt, he wasted no time opening the door and stepping out, lifting her effortlessly into his arms before making his way inside.
Once in her chamber, he gently lowered her onto the bed. Dropping to one knee, he reached for her heels, carefully sliding them off.
But before he could pull away, Zenna’s hand shot out, gripping his collar and yanking him closer. The sudden force startled him.
’How is she this strong?’ he wondered. Omegas weren’t supposed to have such strength, and yet, time and again, Zenna defied expectations. She had no idea just how powerful she truly was.
"Are you going to ignore me? Ignore this?" she demanded.
A fresh wave of her pheromones hit him, filling the entire chamber. His entire body tensed, his instincts warring with his rationality.
Zenna’s eyes searched his, vulnerable yet desperate. "Radulf, please..." Her voice wavered. "The suppressants keep me unconscious for days. But you’re my mate—why won’t you help me? It feels wrong." She swallowed, her grip on him tightening. "I... I thought you wanted me. Always. Don’t you like me anymore?"
Her words struck a deep, unguarded part of him.
"What if you regret it?" Radulf’s voice was turning rougher. "During my rut, I regretted everything I did to you. I don’t want to hurt you, Zenna."
His fingers brushed against her cheek, his touch featherlight. "But that doesn’t mean I don’t want you," he admitted, his gaze softening as he stroked her skin.
Zenna closed her eyes, leaning into his palm. Her lips grazed against it in a series of soft, lingering kisses. The simple action sent a shiver down his spine.
This was different from the first time.
The tension between them thickened as Zenna pulled him closer, her fingers curling into his shirt. His balance shifted, and his knee pressed onto the mattress beside her. His face hovered inches above hers, and his breath was warm against her lips.
Her green eyes darkened in color. Radulf felt his own control slipping.
Slowly, he traced his hand to the back of her neck, his fingers tangling in her hair. Slowly, he eased her down onto the mattress as his body caged hers.
Zenna arched toward him, her body seeking his warmth, his touch.
And this time, Radulf wasn’t sure he had the strength to resist.
His lips crashed onto hers in a fervent kiss, the heat between them igniting like wildfire. His fingers trailed down to her waist, lingering at her hipbone before sliding to her thigh, gripping it firmly.
Their mouths parted only to deepen the connection, their tongues clashing in a battle for dominance. Their breaths mingled as their passion intensified.
Zenna’s fingers worked swiftly, shrugging off his coat before deftly undoing the buttons of his silk shirt. The fabric slipped from his shoulders, revealing the hard planes of his chest.
When her hand splayed against his bare skin, a deep groan escaped his lips. The sound only spurred her on, and she nipped at his bottom lip, a teasing bite that sent a shiver through him.
Witnessing this bold side of Zenna, Radulf smirked, caught off guard as she pushed him onto the mattress and straddled him. He wasn’t fully undressed—only his shirt lay open—but she remained clothed. And her eyes were gleaming golden, a color Radulf hardly had seen except for once when she was angry with him.
"You look different from this angle," she murmured, her fingertips trailing down the center of his chest, tracing the hard ridges of his abdomen.
Her touch slowed as she reached the scars marring his skin. "These... they won’t ever heal, will they?" she asked in a soft tone. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Radulf sat up, wrapping an arm around her possessively. His lips brushed against hers before moving lower, finding the sensitive skin of her neck and suckling it lightly at first before his teeth sank there. A gasp escaped her as his hand glided over her right curve.
Zenna’s hips shifted instinctively, and she felt the unmistakable hardness pressing against her.
And for the first time, Radulf let go of the last shred of restraint holding him back. Tonight, he was not going to stop until they both were satisfied.
