The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 74: Was with my mate
"No," Zenna refused. "I don’t want it without any feelings attached," she asserted. The accusation after the night of rut was still fresh in her mind. Moreover, she wasn’t ready to give in so easily to his demands.
Radulf understood why she said no, and he didn’t force her. But what about the little monster who was begging for a release? He planted a kiss on the middle of her forehead and pulled away, startling Zenna.
She stood up and smoothed her dress. "Take rest for some time. Since you want me to shift here, I’ll make arrangements in the meantime," she opined. Zenna found he wasn’t looking at her. "Are you sure to keep me beside you here?" she asked once again.
"Yes," Radulf replied and removed his clothes. Zenna looked away while getting down from the bed.
As she reached the door, she stopped and turned to look at him. He was bending half-naked on the bed, removing his boots. Zenna approached him, and he lifted his head.
"Do you want something to say?" Radulf asked, straightening up.
Zenna cupped his face and kissed his cheek. "Have a good rest," she whispered and quickly dashed out of the bedchamber, shutting the door behind her.
Radulf touched his cheek and a chuckle escaped his mouth. He removed the socks and lay on the bed, pulling up the silk sheets. "Why does it feel good suddenly?" he murmured and closed his eyes.
Meanwhile, Zenna went to her chamber and Pia followed her inside.
"Alpha has strictly prohibited me from opening the door of the room, where you were locked. Please forgive me," Pia apologized.
"Don’t be sorry," Zenna said and turned to face her. "Do you want to hear a good news?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with joy after such a long time.
"A good news?" Pia exclaimed, clearly flustered.
Zenna nodded her head. "Radulf wants me to stay with him in the same chamber as his. He basically wants us to live together," she pronounced.
"What?" Pia’s eyes widened. She jumped in happiness before hugging Zenna tightly. "I’m so happy for you, Luna. Finally, he has started understanding you slowly," she asserted before pulling away.
"Thank you, Pia. I am surprised myself. And he even asked me if we could again do it," Zenna murmured while shying away. But I refused. He doesn’t even like me. He wants it because of my pheromones, which always drive him wild," she said.
"You did right, Luna. Don’t give in to the Alpha’s demands easily. The more you make him deprive of you, the more frustrating it will be for him. Eventually, he will realize he has grown feelings for you before confessing to you," Pia advised her.
"Yes, I want the same. And I have not forgotten yet how he blamed me after our first time together. It still hurts me. That night could be so memorable for me, but he shattered the beauty of it," Zenna murmured, feeling a bit low. However, she composed herself quickly.
"Let’s shift my clothes, accessories, and other items to Radulf’s chamber. Since he’s resting now, so make sure no servant makes any noise while doing the work," Zenna stated.
"Sure, Luna. I’ll right away start the work," said Pia and rushed out of the chamber to gather a few servants.

Gregor gazed at his father and mother, who had been waiting for him since morning. And when he finally showed himself, Alpha Jasper was quite furious at his son.
"Where were you the entire day, Gregor? Is this way you are going to handle the pack in the future? You remain vanished for hours in the morning. Are you this irresponsible toward your duties?" Alpha Jasper reprimanded his son.
"Gregor, answer your father. Today the Crown Prince and Princess Aria have come. They waited for you and it humiliated us that you never came," said Luna Annette, Gregor’s mother.
"Forgive me for disappearing like this," Gregor finally began with an apology and kept his gaze low for a moment. "I thought Father gave me six months to find a mate for myself. I don’t wish to marry Princess Aria. I urge Father to not let her come here even if she’s from the royal family. I don’t like it," he truthfully replied.
Alpha Jasper shook his head. "I did. But that doesn’t mean you need to run away like this. You could have been here and told Princess Aria right away," he suggested and rubbed the temple of his forehead.
Gregor realized why his father was reacting that way. Aria must have been upset and it could affect them since she was the Alpha King’s daughter.
"I’ll go to the palace right away. Rest assured, Father, I’ll sort out the matter," Gregor stated with a confident gaze.
"Hmm. That will be better. You should apologize to both, Crown Prince Leon and Princess Aria," he asserted.
"I understand, Father," Gregor said. He bowed to both his parents and left for the palace.
Arriving at the palace, he was given an easy entry. Gregor first met Leon, who wasn’t bothered about his absence.
"Princess Aria was pretty excited to see you, Gregor. You should go and see her," Leon advised him.
"Thank you, Your Grace. Then, I’ll take my leave. Have a good night ahead," Gregor said and left the Crown Prince’s chamber. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
The servant guided him to the quarters of Princess Aria and as they arrived there, they heard some shouts.
"I’ll go in from here. Thank you," Gregor told the servant after noticing her unease. He stepped up and walked inside the chamber. As he crossed the tiny hallway, he saw a young servant coming outside with her face covered from her hand.
Gregor quickly arrived in the chamber and saw Aria seated on the sofa with her eyes closed. He found the servants cleaning the floor on which broken items was scattered, mainly the vases.
"Your Highness," Gregor finally spoke.
Aria promptly opened her eyes and turned to look at him. She stood up from her place as her expression softened. "Gregor!" she exclaimed, a smile forming on her lips. "Do the cleaning quickly!" She instructed the servants. "Have a seat, Gregor. Don’t mind all this," she stated.
Gregor moved forward and took a seat on the sofa chair.
"What would you like to take, Gregor?" Aria inquired.
"Nothing, Your Highness. Thank you for asking," Gregor replied. He waited for the servants to leave and once they had left, he began the conversation.
"Your Highness, forgive me for being absent when you visited my father’s estate. I was outside since the morning and wasn’t aware of your presence in the mansion," Gregor apologized while lying to her. He intentionally didn’t go home after Radulf informed him about her visit to their estate.
"It’s alright, Gregor. I’m sure you must be busy with some work," Aria replied. "I have not found my mate. Father told me about several Alpha males, who can be suitable for me, and I selected you from them. I think you and I will go well," she asserted.
"I don’t think the same, Your Highness," Gregor pronounced, meeting her gaze.
"Huh? Why?" Aria asked with a confused gaze.
"Because I don’t wish to marry Princess Aria. In our pack, the marriages that happen against the wishes of a wolf don’t survive. That’s a kind of blessing every wolf has. I hope she understands my feelings," Gregor asserted, keeping his tone humble.
Aria’s facial expression turned grim. "But your father and mother were quite happy to see me. I think you need to consider it again, Gregor. We can go well together," she remarked.
"Your Highness, I appreciate your thoughts. However, I have made up my mind already. I don’t see you the way you want me to," Gregor answered.
A flicker of annoyance crossed Aria’s eyes. "I heard you frequent Zenna’s place. You two are close friends. Do you perhaps like her?" she probed.
"Your Highness, I like Zenna as a friend. Nothing more," Gregor replied.
"Then, are you not considering me because Zenna told you how I treated her? She surely loves to lie a lot," Aria remarked bitterly.
"Pardon me, Your Highness. But you have a misunderstanding here. She never discusses her family affairs. Since I’ve told you what I feel, I should take my leave," Gregor said, rising to his feet.
As he bowed to Aria, she said, "I want you. I will tell my father to proceed because I like you." She stood up and took steps closer to him. "The first time I saw you was when I was twelve. You were smiling so brightly that I developed a crush on you. Your feelings can change after you see mine," she asserted with a smile. A possessiveness was clearly visible in her words, which made Gregor uncomfortable. He felt stuck because Aria would go to any lengths to marry him.
"What if I have got a mate?" Gregor asked.
Aria’s smile faltered. "No, you don’t have," she answered.
"I was with my mate this entire day. I didn’t tell my parents or anyone around me because I met her only a few days ago," Gregor came up with a quick lie. He felt that was the only way to save himself from Aria and her evil intentions. "Now, I’ll take my leave, Your Highness." He bowed and finally walked out.
Aria fumed in anger, her hands clenched tightly. "He has a mate!? I am sure he was lying. If he isn’t, I’ll kill his mate. I won’t let him be with anyone," she muttered, pledging to herself.
