The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 87: How devastated you were
The next morning, Aria went to see her mother in the Queen’s manor.
"Mother, Radulf threatened me last night. He said he would reveal your dirty secrets. I think he was scaring me away. Mother, shouldn’t Father get rid of Radulf? He is getting on my nerves," Aria said with a frustrated sigh.
"Why are you even speaking to him or his wife? We have nothing to do with them," Loretta told her.
"Mother, I didn’t speak with Radulf. I was talking to Gregor, who lied to me about having a mate. I want to marry him. You know well how much I adore him for a long time," Aria complained. "He is Zenna’s close friend, so I wanted to know through her why Gregor acted in such a way."
"Your father has discussed you and Gregor with me. You can’t marry him forcefully, Aria. If that were away, your father had already ordered your marriage with him. I understand you love Gregor, but if he truly has a mate, then there’s no use in pursuing him," Loretta explained to her daughter.
"What if Gregor is lying?" Aria questioned.
"Then, we need to find out why he is doing that. If he is lying, then he should get punished for hurting my daughter," said Loretta.
"I think Zenna is using him against me. We never treated her well. Now, my heart is stuck to Gregor, she is filling his mind against me. Mother, please do something about it. I hate Zenna. Her mother almost destroyed your life. Why didn’t you kill her so far? Now, using Radulf as a shield and Gregor’s friendship, she is taking revenge on me," Aria said bitterly.
Loretta frowned to hear that. "I don’t think Zenna will ever dare to take revenge on us. She knows her place. She knows what she will undergo if she defies us and angers us," she asserted, "don’t make yourself feel low."
’Radulf is dancing on my head. What kind of dirty secrets does he hold against me?’ Loretta thought. She glanced at the lady-in-waiting, Lady Mary.
"Send a message to Zenna. I would like to see her in the afternoon," she instructed.
Aria’s face brightened up to hear that. Her mother was finally taking action. Now, she would also teach Zenna a lesson for not showing respect to her at the ball.

Zenna yawned while looking through the documents when Radulf broke his silence finally.
"Why don’t you rest, Princess?" Radulf asked. "Did you not sleep well last night?"
"I do not need rest, Alpha," Zenna replied.
"If you yawn one more time, I am sending you back to the chamber," Radulf stated.
She nodded and resumed the work. Before they could focus on the work, the giant doors opened and Savio walked in.
"Luna Queen has asked for an audience with Luna Zenna in the afternoon," Savio said.
She got worried when she heard that. Was it because of last night?
"Tell the Luna Queen that Zenna and I are not in the mansion," Radulf replied.
"What? You can’t lie to the Luna Queen!" Zenna protested.
"Why can’t I do that?" Radulf raised his brow.
"Because it’s a royal command. I cannot ignore it. A lie is the worst thing I would like to do to anger them," Zenna answered, shaking her head in disbelief because Radulf would take her family so lightly.
"We are leaving now," Radulf said and rose to his feet. Savio smiled the way the Alpha was not letting Zenna fall in trouble.
"What? Where? What about the work? Weren’t you throwing a tantrum in the morning that–" Her words ceased in her mouth as Radulf placed his finger above her lips.
"Shh. Stay calm," Radulf told her.
"I’ll forward the message of Alpha Radulf to the Queen," Savio said and walked away, leaving those two alone.
Zenna yanked away his finger and left her seat. "I know you are a dominant alpha whom even my father is scared of. But you cannot anger them. Did you not see how your pack came to crumble in the past?" she muttered in concern.
"Don’t bring the past," Radulf said, sitting on the desk’s edge. "I am taking you out now. Isn’t that what you always wanted? Walking in the streets of the capital with me?"
"Yes," Zenna replied.
"Then, it’s decided. We are going out. The work is almost finished. So, let’s go," Radulf said, standing straight.
"The Queen will call me tomorrow. Then, what will you do? We can’t run away from the command," Zenna murmured.
"We aren’t running away. You’ll see Loretta when I want it," Radulf proclaimed. "She slapped you last time and you hid your face from me. I feel like chopping her hand off," he pronounced with an intimidating tone.
"What if Father punishes us both for not listening to his queen?" Zenna changed her question, wanting him to think more logically.
"Phillipe will not dare to do it. Even if I get punished, I won’t let it happen to you," Radulf said, fixing his gaze on her. "I’ll see you outside. Come soon. I do not like to wait," with that, he left her sight.
Zenna’s heart, on the other hand, raced rapidly. "He won’t let me get punished," she murmured, a smile playing on her lips as she repeated Radulf’s words. She went to her chamber and looked at herself in the mirror. Sprinkling some perfume near her neck, she rushed out.
However, the smile on her lips disappeared when she spotted Nina with Radulf. The two of them were laughing with each other. ’Why? What were they talking about?’ She thought.
"I think Miss Nina isn’t a mere friend to our Alpha. Whenever I see them together, they usually are in such a good mood. However, with our Luna, our Alpha always argues." Zenna heard a group of servants gossiping together in the distance.
"Oh, Zenna is here!" Nina said, turning her attention to him. "I heard you two are going out," she said.
"Yes, and I don’t want you to come with us," Zenna said, not caring Nina would get upset to hear that. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Nina chuckled. "I am not accompanying you. I understand how comfortable it may get for us," she asserted.
"Oh." Zenna felt guilty for speaking in a rush.
"Radulf, make sure to take Zenna on a boat ride. Last time when we both went outside, Zenna said that she always wanted to get into one, but she’s scared of water," Nina revealed one of Zenna’s wishes to Radulf.
"Hmm. I will definitely take her for a boat ride then," Radulf said. "Get in, Zenna." She quickly entered the carriage and took a seat near the window.
When Radulf got in, he closed the door with a loud thud. She met his gaze but didn’t say anything.
"You are scared of water, yet you jumped into the water to end your life," Radulf pronounced.
"Why are you bringing that up?" Zenna hated talking about that incident.
"I am wondering how devastated you were because of me that even water didn’t scare you that night," Radulf affirmed. "Even if I ask for your forgiveness, I think I will forever stay guilty for forcing you to take such a drastic and unacceptable step."
