Louis was working on her desk. She has been a lot busy lately because of the change in the city. She knew of the undercurrents. After all, she had been in constant touch with Bahamut, and hence had an idea about the current situation.

Max had requested her aid in the time of need. It was obviously not for free, but being hired as a mercenary. Even Max wasn't a fool, he knew how to benefit from the things offered by the Ancient Family for his current situation. He knew that if he pulled a few strings, then their guild would definitely leave the others behind by a huge gap.

Louis too had similar thoughts. Not to mention, they could be considered to be on the same boat, so she had to offer assistance anyway. And, it was even better when Max had made this obligation into an opportunity for the guild.

This was the reason that her work load had increased recently. She was preparing for the battle, and for that, she had to manage all the things in advance in order to avoid losses and ensure smooth movement of people and information.

At this moment, the hall below seemed to have erupted in an uproar.

Louis immediately frowned a little. She was obviously wondering what had happened.

'Did he pissed those guys off?' She thought inwardly. She knew that Axel wanted to take a few people. But, those guys were prideful, and if he really wanted to show his superiority in front of them just because of his authority, then it might really backfire on him.

'I hope that guy is sensible enough to know when to stop.' She sighed thinking about it. She didn't care if Axel was taught a lesson, but she didn't want him to lose face for the upper management. After all, if rumors spread that their upper management was made up of weaklings who only knew how to flaunt their authority, then it could really have a devastating impact on them.

The image that she had built for their guild might even be put to stake. But, she couldn't handle Axel roughly, and kicked him out. He was, after all, Max's follower. Even if she believed that no one could compare to Bahamut, the little guy didn't think like that, if someone dared to say a single word of disrespect towards the other four, then he would see how scary a little kid could be.

Other's didn't know, but the five Awakeners naturally shared a bond. One which had awakened in them. It was something akin to being a close kin to them. And, even if they were to ignore that, they couldn't ignore the fact that all of them had gone through similar things after their awakening, and they had only each other to identify someone similar to them. That already was enough to create a strong sense of unity in them.

A little later, the frown on Louis's face deepened. She had been hearing noises from below at one moment, and at another they were completely silent as if the place was empty.𝒇𝚛e𝘦wℯ𝑏𝓃𝑜νℯ𝒍.co𝗺

It hadn't even been a minute since then, when Louis heard hurried footsteps approaching her room, and the next moment, the reception lady barged into her.f𝐫ee𝘄ℯ𝚋no𝐯𝐞l.c𝘰m

Louis raised her head to look at her, and her face turned gloomy when she noticed the horrified look on her face. She knew that something had definitely happened.

"Did he cause a commotion?" She asked while looking at her.

The receptionist was definitely about to nod, but then she stopped. To be honest, Axel had just taken a quest, that didn't seem like causing a commotion, but ..

"Will you tell me what he did?" Louis asked with a troubled look on her face when she saw her hesitating.

"He took a quest…" The lady replied nervously.

"Oh!" Louis was obviously surprised. She was expecting something entirely different. But, it didn't take long for her to understand what was going on, 'It seems I underestimated the guy..'

She was smart, and hence naturally understood Axel's intentions.

"Did he do anything else?" Louis further asked.

"He took the Quest from the Quest Board.." the lady further added.

Louis just nodded at that. She could guess that much, especially from the uproar. Not to mention, everyone completed normal quests, only something difficult would allow Axel to achieve his goal.

"I get it..you may leave.." Louis was about to turn back to her work when the receptionist spoke again, "He took the death certificate.."

Those words were like thunderclap to Louis, and her body immediately froze.

She slowly raised her head to look at the reception lady, and she clearly saw the horror in her eyes. It was obvious that she wouldn't dare to joke at a time like this.

"..."

A silence enveloped the room, and Louis's face had turned dark.

Death Certificate..

It was a term given to that Quest.

It asked nothing but for the death of a notorious criminal named, Red Devil.

As for who the Red Devil was?

Well, as one could guess, it was an alias. It was an alias given by the people to him. After all, there was not a single person who had the guts to use his real name while speaking about his crime.

As for who this person was, it was actually the second son of Scarlet Lord, Travis Scarlet.

The Scarlets obviously refused to comment on this Red Devil matter. Since people never took his real name, it would be foolish for the Scarlets to come forward and address it. After all, it would be like acknowledging that Red Devil was Travis.

So, they allowed the Quests to remain in the guild. But, it didn't mean that people had guts to accept it, and in case someone tried to, the result was obvious. There had been a few people who had just tried to gain fame by accepting the Quest with no intention of completing it. But, even those people seemed to have disappeared.

'Underestimating him was an understatement. This guy is insane..' Louis muttered inwardly and sighed.
