The Animagus: From Hunter to Monster-Chapter 121: Why should I care?
Waking up the next day which was a Monday morning was draining. Probably because it's the first working day of the week, or maybe because I will be starting work today. If that's the case, I know that as the days go by, it gets easier. I rolled out of bed, stretched, and felt my bones crack in response.
I quickly glanced at my phone, it was 6:30 AM and the Battery was full. Hehe.
"Enough time to get ready and get to work early, but not enough for a proper 30 to 45-minute workout. Gotta work on that," I muttered to myself. Yeah, I talk to myself—nothing unhealthy, just a habit.
Still, a few push-ups wouldn't hurt. I cranked out ten normal push-ups, planks, and some core exercises—eight minutes at most.
Since I had turned on the heater before working out, my shower was quick. As I walked out, I noticed the light from my mom's room illuminating the dark passage. She was still awake, probably working.
Back in my room, I got dressed and checked the time. 25 to 35 minutes left to get to work. Definitely not enough time for breakfast. I grabbed my essentials—just my mobile phone, rushed outside, and hopped on my bike.
I knew exactly where the Coffee Ox company was located, so I took a shortcut. I was running late, but luck was on my side. I got there at 7:20 AM.
I headed straight to the Boss Lady's office.
"Greetings," I said after I opened her office door.
"Greetings," she replied, barely looking up. "Go and meet Ashley. She'll guide you on what you have to do today."
"Yes, ma'am," I said.
"Hold on," she said and scanned me for a while before adding. "Close the door behind you," she added.
I did as instructed.
"I must look that old for you to address me as ma'am," she commented, though it sounded more like a question.
Without thinking, I responded, "Maybe… but a hotter version."
The words flew right over my head—until I saw her expression. A mix of surprise, amusement, and the tiniest smirk.
"You can go, Tony," she finally said.
As I walked away, it hit me. I just flirted with my boss.
And judging by her reaction… she didn't hate it.
"Whoosh," I blushed, and rallied with excitement along the hallway.

"Greetings, Ashley," I said as I approached.
"Good morning, Tony," she replied.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked casually.
"Yeah, I did. You?"

"Splendidly," I said with a grin. "So, I was told you'd be guiding me today."
"Yep. You'll be delivering coffee to three locations within an hour. Get ready." She handed me a company jacket. "Put it on."
I slipped it on without question.
"Now, come," she said, leading me outside to a custom delivery bike branded with the Coffee Ox logo.
"Check the bike, make sure it's in good condition. Ride around a bit if you need to. And ride slow when delivering—spilled coffee will get you in serious trouble."
"Got it," I nodded. "Thanks for the guidance."
She flashed a bright smile. "You're welcome."
I checked the bike, rode it around, and returned a few minutes later.
"How is it?" Ashley asked as I parked.
"All good," I confirmed.
"Great. I sent you the locations and details of your deliveries," she said.
Beep. Beep.
I glanced at my phone quickly. There were three locations, all within 5 to 10 minutes ride to each other.
"That's close," I noted.
"Yeah, you're handling nearby deliveries. Anything further is assigned to someone else. At least, in the meantime until you get used to the job." she explained.
I nodded and followed her inside. Took a seat, waiting for the orders to be ready.
Ashley walked up to me.
"It's ready," she said, handing me the package. "I added two more locations."
"So, five deliveries in total?" I asked.
"Yep."
"Alright."
I loaded the coffee into the delivery chamber, hopped on the bike, and took off—my phone guiding me through each stop.
Deliveries for today went smoothly. There was
no spills. No issues. One of the customers even complimented my diligence, and of course, my look too.

I returned back to the office, and was given packages for other orders. Orders were delivered based on location. So, the number of order you were able to take in a day depended on the number of locations you were able to cover. And the profit each day, depended on the amount of deliveries undertook per location.
That was a nice way to justify the earnings of each worker, I thought.
I continued deliveries until break time.
Ashley and I got to talking—just casual stuff. I learned more about her: what she liked, how she took her coffee, and a little details.
Then she asked, "Do you have a girlfriend?"
The question caught me off guard.
"Why do you ask?" I replied, raising an eyebrow.
"Well… I saw you talking to a girl and an older lady at the mall the other day," she said, eyeing me carefully.
My mind clicked. Beth and Sarah.
To tease her, I smirked. "Oh… those are my girls."
"Really?" she said, skeptical. "Even the older lady?"
"Yeah." I kept my grin up. "For the older lady, I call her my girl because she calls me daddy."
She studied me for a moment. "No way."
"Okay," I shrugged.
"But seriously," she pushed, "Are you related to them, or—never mind."
She trailed off, looking at me intently.
"What do you think?" I asked.
Before she could answer, the lunch bell rang, signaling the end of our break.
As we stood up to return to work, I deliberately distanced myself from her.
"You coming?" she asked, noticing my delay.
"Yeah, head on. I'll be there in a minute."
As she walked off, I whispered, "Ella."
My sonic eye activated.
Glancing at Ashley, I saw her blue rating had increased.
[75%.]
I giggled softly. Women will want you more when they see other women do. Preferably women above them in beauty or status.
Smirking to myself, I knew what I had to do next.
