Chapter 547: Chapter 547: Fear at First Sight

The street was bustling with traffic.

When Summer Monroe reached the roadside, there were only three seconds left on the pedestrian green light.

She sprinted towards the opposite street, moving so fast that people could only see a blur passing by.

By the time everyone chasing her reached the roadside, the pedestrian light had already turned red.

The speed limit here was sixty, and the cars were relatively fast.

Most people hesitantly stayed in place, but there were a few fearless ones who chased across the flow of cars.

"Beep beep beep——"

All of a sudden, cars on the road urgently stomped on their brakes.

With a "bang," a rear-end collision occurred.

The driver angrily got out of the car to block those attempting to run across, loudly chiding them.

"Didn’t you see the red light?! Are you trying to get yourselves killed?!"

"My car costs over two million! Pay up!"

The street was in chaos; some took advantage of it to chase after Summer Monroe, but most were stopped by those car owners and the traffic.

When Isaac Ross reached the roadside, someone suddenly realized that he had gotten out of the car that had been carrying Summer Monroe.

"Him! He’s not here to terminate the contract; he’s with that woman!"

Someone shouted this, and the crowd surged towards Isaac Ross. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Isaac Ross found his path blocked, leaving him no choice but to run back.

Unfortunately, the man who had spoken to Isaac earlier was not far behind him, flanked by two tall and burly youths.

Three against one, but Isaac had no weapon for self-defense, while the three were either carrying sticks or holding long knives.

In this situation, Isaac was completely at a disadvantage.

But besides fighting head-on, he had no other option.

Isaac removed his glasses and set them aside, took off his suit jacket, rolled up his sleeves, clenched his fists, and said indifferently, "Bring it on!"

Without his glasses, Isaac’s scholarly demeanor vanished, replaced by a fierce aura.

Only three people; he still didn’t take them seriously.

The leader angrily said, "You little punk, how dare you trick me! Today I’ll show you what happens when you mess with me! Get him!"

With the man’s order, the two men with long knives charged straight at him.

Isaac quickly sidestepped to avoid a swinging knife, then swiftly spun his body ninety degrees, kicking the first attacker in the back.

The man felt a sharp pain in his back and fell face-first into the ground.

The other man gritted his teeth and shouted, accelerating towards Isaac, the tip of his knife aiming right for Isaac’s chest.

The speed was frighteningly fast, but Isaac narrowly dodged and punched the man in the face.

"Ugh..." The man clutched his face in pain and spat, realizing he had lost a tooth.

"Damn it!" The man spat again, his expression even more vicious, each strike faster than the last.

But even so, the man gained no advantage.

The leader, seeing this, ripped off the white towel he had wrapped around his forehead and gripped a stick, ready to strike Isaac’s head.

Isaac, focused on avoiding the man with the long knife, didn’t notice another person coming up from behind him. Just as the stick was about to hit Isaac’s head, a large hand suddenly appeared, grabbing the leader’s wrist with speed, precision, and force.

The man felt a surge of strength clamp down on his wrist, making it impossible to move.

"Who?!" The man’s eyes flared with anger as he glared back.

In the sunlight, a tall and handsome man stood there, his eyes reflecting a burning brilliance akin to sunlight. His features were bold, and a fierce aura seemed to envelop him, instilling fear at a glance.

It was Damian Knight!
