The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 575: Hit Him for Me
"Okay." Isaac Ross said, handing the phone to Summer Monroe, "Boss, Damian Knight wants you to pick up."
At this moment, Isaac Ross looked at Summer Monroe with eyes full of admiration.
It was the kind of reverence one has for a formidable figure.
Summer Monroe took the phone: "Hello?"
Driven by curiosity, Isaac Ross tried to lean in and listen, but the phone volume was low, and he couldn’t hear anything. He only noticed Summer Monroe’s indifferent expression suddenly turning red.
He heard Summer Monroe say, "You should just give me the money," and then she hung up the phone.
What did Damian Knight say to make the boss blush?
He couldn’t recall ever seeing the boss blush!
Isaac Ross’s curiosity was overwhelming, and after getting the phone back, he immediately asked, "What did Damian say to you?"
Summer Monroe dismissed it, "Nothing much."
Damian Knight, that shameless guy, just said, "Thanks a lot this time. I thought you don’t need money, and you don’t have any men around, so why not let me offer myself as your reward?"
Absolutely shameless!
Isaac Ross wanted to ask further, but they had already reached the door of the old lady and her eldest son’s hospital room. He temporarily suppressed his curiosity and opened the door for Summer Monroe.
The old lady’s condition had stabilized significantly, but she was still crying nonstop.
Beside her, the eldest son had presumably grown tired of trying to comfort her and simply sat there scrolling through his phone.
Upon hearing the door open, both of them looked over.
Summer Monroe’s icy gaze landed on the face of the eldest son, scanning it inch by inch like a machine.
The man felt increasingly uneasy under her gaze, swallowed forcibly, and asked, "Weren’t you in the emergency room? My, my brother, how is he?"
Summer Monroe did not answer, merely waved her hand and succinctly commanded, "Hit him!"
The man was instantly frozen.
Isaac Ross was also momentarily stunned but quickly caught on and gestured to the bodyguards behind him. Several bodyguards immediately stepped forward and directly grabbed the man for a thorough beating.
The old lady was dumbfounded. Watching her eldest son’s nose start to bleed, she finally reacted, struggling to get out of bed while shouting, "What are you doing? What are you doing?! Hitting people is illegal! Is there no law here? This is Crestfall, under the ruler’s feet! Stop! Stop it!"
The old lady was shouting, her body throwing itself towards her eldest son, attempting to use her own body to shield him from the blows.
"Stop!" Summer Monroe ordered, and the bodyguards immediately halted, not a single fist landing on the old woman; only the man beneath her was already bruised and swollen, beaten into a pig’s head.
He shouted at Summer Monroe in anger and fear, "What gives you the right to hit people?"
The old lady was also indignant, "You’re too much! I used to think you were good people, but now it seems I was mistaken. I’ll definitely take Midnight Coffee House to court! And those of you who are hitting people!"
"Old lady, are you sure you want to sue us?" Summer Monroe raised an eyebrow, her calm but meaning-laden gaze causing the old lady to hesitate. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The old lady said angrily, "What else could I do? You think it’s justified to hit people?"
"It is justified." Summer Monroe shifted her gaze to the man, speaking, "Old lady, before you protect your son, ask him what heinous deeds he has committed."
The old lady frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Instead of asking me, you should ask him. Ask your eldest son how he pushed your youngest son step by step towards death. Ask him how he deceived his brother into poisoning himself, then pinned all the blame on Midnight Coffee House. Ask him what he truly values more, his brother’s life or money."
