The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 726: A Bunch of Useless People
Damian Knight heard the voice, and his spine straightened, looking toward the door incredulously—
Summer Monroe appeared in a black dress, like a noble black swan, her gaze distant like moonlight, calm and profound as she looked at him.
At the moment their eyes met, Damian’s throat moved up and down.
It really was Summer.
He hadn’t expected her to actually come.
Was she... here for him?
Damian’s heart stirred slightly, a radiant light shot through his eyes.
Summer glanced at Damian, then turned coldly toward the few bodyguards blocking her path, saying calmly, "Move aside!"
Her voice was very calm, but it carried an unquestionable authority.
This aura was shockingly similar to their master’s, yet she was just a young girl, why did she have such a powerful presence?
The bodyguards involuntarily stepped back, not blocking her any longer.
Summer walked forward a few steps, standing shoulder to shoulder with Damian.
She nodded slightly at Susan Stone.
"Mrs. Stone."
Susan Stone’s face was full of displeasure, her voice tinged with anger as she said, "Who let you in?"
The bodyguards snapped out of it, quickly bowing in apology, "Sorry, madam, we couldn’t stop her..."
What they didn’t mention was that after refusing to report her name, Summer had taken out half of their crew, and they truly didn’t have the ability to stop her.
"Useless bunch!" Susan glared at the bodyguards, then turned to Summer, "Miss Monroe, may I ask why you’ve barged into my home uninvited?"
Summer didn’t answer directly, instead asked, "Mrs. Stone, you said I don’t deserve Damian Knight just now, may I ask in what aspect I don’t deserve him? I can work hard."
Damian’s heart stirred slightly, and he couldn’t help but speak up, "Sadie..."
Summer gave Damian a deep look.
She hesitated for a moment, and then took the initiative to hold Damian’s hand.
Damian felt Summer’s action, his back stiffened once more, and then he firmly grasped Summer’s hand in return.
Susan looked at their clasped hands, rage surged within her heart.
"You don’t deserve my son in any way! In terms of family background, you’re merely a country girl abandoned by the Stanton Family. In terms of education, I’ve heard you got into the preparatory class through connections, and even there, you’re at the bottom, always embroiled in arguments with teachers. Someone like you would only hold him back!"
Summer frowned slightly, knowing these words must have been fed to Susan by Willow Grant.
"Mom, she—"
"Mrs. Stone!" Summer interrupted Damian, directly asking Susan, "If I manage to rank first in the preparatory class’s monthly test, would you then give us your blessing?"
"Ha? Rank first?" Susan laughed mockingly, "The first place is definitely Willow’s. Even if not, you’re no match for the other students. The preparatory class is far different from other classes, all the students there are top-tier. You can get first place? Foolish dream!"
Summer slightly raised her chin, her eyes bright as she asked, "But if I do rank first, would you cease to interfere between Damian and me?"
Summer’s gaze was calm but resolute, as if the stars were hidden in her eyes.
Susan slowly furrowed her brows, suddenly feeling uncertain.
Summer spoke with such conviction, could she really rank first?
Susan bit her lip, then said, "Even if you could rank first, I wouldn’t agree to you being together! A country girl like you could never be an asset to my son!"
Summer was about to speak when Damian suddenly stepped forward, bending down to kiss Summer’s lips.
