The days ran by quickly and as Lia had promised her grandmother and brother, she had arrived before the prison gate, her eyes on the large fence before her. She was scared to step in, scared of facing her mother, not after everything that had happened.

There’s no way Garth had not seen the photos. She could already tell what her mother would say. But she still went in anyway.

She needed to say her goodbye before leaving completely. As Lia stepped inside the prison, everyone stared at her strangely. Of course, they all recognize who she was, the slutty Hamilton daughter.

Maybe she should have brought her shade and at least concealed her identity, but the prison guards will never let her in. To be granted passage, one needed to be clean with face and identity revealed.

This prison held the biggest criminals, and they were scared spies could be sent to free them.

"I’m here for Garth Hamilton," Lia said calmly and the receptionist looked through the files.

"Of course, I know who you are." The woman cut her off. "The slut who’s nudes are all over the place. The nerve of you to show your face here." She added glaring at the girl.

"Here’s your pass. You have five minutes to be done." Lia took the little card from the woman and started walking away. She tried to ignore the judging eyes of everyone in there.

She was not the first person to commit such a sin. How dare they try to judge her?

When Lia reached the visiting area, she showed the guard over there her pass card and the man led her to her seat while he went to fetch Garth.

After a while, Lia saw her mother walking in, a frown on the older woman’s face as she stared at her.

"You have no right to show your face here. You’re not my child and I don’t want to see you." Garth spat as she glared at her daughter.

Lia had committed the greatest abomination. It’s enough that she had brought shame to their family and was still thinking of what people would say about her and now, her two stupid children have done worse.

Lia had her nudes paraded around the internet, and George has gotten a whore pregnant. Both people have brought shame to her and their family name.

"Do you think your father would be proud of you?" Garth yelled.

"M... Mother." Lia cried reaching for her. She had no idea things would be this way, she had no idea her nudes would be everywhere today.

"I did everything for you and your useless brother. There’s isn’t a day that went by that I didn’t provide your needs." Garth yelled.

"How can you do this to me?"

"Hey, bring your voice down, there are other people around." A guard warned and Garth stopped talking.

Even while she watched the news of her children, she thought while she was in there she could escape from the cruelty of the world out there. She thought she could escape from the mouths of people of the higher society. But Elisa and her gang had not let her rest since the incident.

Every day, Elisa reminded her of how useless her children were.

"Mum I’m so sorry, please forgive me." Lia cried out.

"No!" Garth shook her head. The humiliation was too much for her to bear, she couldn’t take it. Not in a million years to come.

"I wish I never had children like you and your brother. You two are a disgrace to me."

"Mother please don’t say that." Lia reached for her, her hands holding her mother’s wrist and Garth pulled her hands immediately.

"Let go of me." Garth pulled her hands from her daughter’s hold. "Don’t touch me with those filthy hands." Garth acted like she had been stained by something irritating. She wiped her hands on her uniform.

"I wish you would just die." She groaned glaring at Lia.

"How can you say that mother?" Lia asked.

"Uh, I can’t stand you. I’d rather spend the rest of my days in this cell than be with you two again. Don’t even think about visiting, because I won’t come out." She said coldly.

Lia frowned at her words. She has always known Garth to be a selfish person. All she cared about was her stupid reputation and money, nothing more. But this was too much.

"Don’t bother, I won’t return anymore since you don’t want to see me," Lia said.

"I’m sorry mother if I didn’t meet your expectations for a daughter. I had no idea my life would be like this." She started.

"Don’t worry, I’m going to live far away from the city soon. I thought I should come say my goodbye, but it seems I just wasted my time."

"Take good care of yourself, mother." At that, she started walking away.

Garth stared at her daughter’s form, she wanted to call her back, but the prison guard had already arrived.

"Move." The gruff man said handcuffing her again and Garth started walking back into her cell. She had long gotten so accustomed to this place, especially since her long-time frenemy was in there with her.

And just as predicted, Elisa was already waiting in front of her cell block.

"Look who’s here." Elisa mocked.

"Who can this time, your whoring daughter or useless son?" Garth’s fingers ached to scratch her face with her nails but she held herself. She didn’t want Claudia’s gang coming after her.

When Claudia reached the Hamilton’s estate, she took a deep breath and drove in to say her farewell to her brother before she lived.

She didn’t mean to ignore his calls, she was too heartbroken to respond. That day has been chaotic and Lia didn’t think she could live till this day. Her being alive was a miracle.
