The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 313: Cooking Dinner Together
Emily entered the apartment as Kaiden opened the door and stepped aside to let her and Shadow inside his luxurious apartment that had started feeling like another home to her after all the time that she had spent there.
They all walked into the living room and settled down on the couches around the glass table on top of which an empty vase was sitting. Shadow moved his fingers in a weird arc before bright golden light shot through his fingers and landed on the vase.
"Vow! Thanks for that." Kaiden gave an appreciative look in Shadow’s direction after a bunch of beautiful and fresh lavender appeared in the vase.
"She doesn’t like empty vases," Shadow replied while pointing in Emily’s direction who just shrugged her shoulders in response.
Kaiden nodded his head as if he was noting down the new information in his mind for the future. "I’m heading upstairs to freshen up. You guys can use the other washrooms and get into some comfortable clothes. Then we will prepare the dinner."
Emily nodded her head as she stood up and headed toward her bedroom while Shadow just followed behind Kaiden.
"Can I borrow your clothes?" She heard Shadow asking Kaiden as the two of them ascended the stairs in front of her.
"Can’t you just use your powers to change into your own clothes?" Kaiden asked in return.
"And I thought you wanted me to stay with you," Shadow murmured under his breath but was still loud enough for even Emily to hear him.
She found herself smiling as she watched both the men walk into Kaiden’s room while she entered in her own. Seeing the two of them interacting over the past few days, she had noticed how they appeared even more close to each other than before.
After that night when she and Shadow met at his mansion in the Night Valley, they met with Kaiden too the very next day. The three of them finally set down and confessed their feeling regarding each other and... she did confess that she had feelings for Shadow too while she was obviously in love with Kaiden.
The three of them decided to continue their relationship with the natural flow. And while Kaiden assured her and Shadow time and again that he was comfortable with their feelings for each other, neither she nor Shadow wanted to take advantage of his trust in them. That’s why the two of them decided to never cross the line with each other even though they had openly admitted their feelings for each other.
Emily wasn’t really sure what was waiting for her in the future and what sort of turns this new addition to her love life was going to make. Still, she believed in the love that she and Kaiden shared, and she also trusted Shadow with her life. She was sure that as long as the two of them won’t give up on her, she would definitely find a way around.
For now, she just wanted to enjoy her life with the people that she loved and while all three of them were aware that their future wasn’t filled with flowers only, they had decided to not worry about that for the time being.
Letting out a small sigh, she opened the closet and took out a pair of pajamas that she had left during her last visit. Taking off all her accessories, she headed inside the bathroom to get changed.

Emily made her way into the joined area of the kitchen and dining room only to find both Kaiden and Shadow getting ready to prepare the dinner.
"Wow. How lucky a girl needs to be for two such hot and good-looking men to cook dinner for her? I must have earned some really big merit in my previous life." She teased the men as she took a seat on the chairs sitting next to the marble kitchen counter.
Shadow just smiled at her words while Kaiden moved closer to her to place a sweet kiss on her forehead. "If your brothers will allow, I’m ready to cook dinner for you every evening." He whispered while giving her a little wink before he moved away to continue with his work.
"In your dreams." Emily immediately replied as she knew her brothers pretty well. It was still a miracle that they allowed her to come to his apartment at nighttime after all that happened on her birthday. It was probably because Shadow was accompanying her. They seriously trusted Shadow more than anyone else in the world, not like he didn’t deserve their trust.
"Aren’t those yours?" She suddenly asked Kaiden when her gaze finally landed on the pajama set that Shadow was wearing. He looked quite funny as she had never seen him in such bright pink color clothes but somehow they looked really good on him.
"He’s looking good in them, doesn’t he?" Kaiden asked proudly as he gave Shadow a cheeky smile but the latter only ignored both of them as he continued to chop the vegetables.
"He does. He should try more bright colors." She commented as she climbed down from her seat and walked around the counter to look at what the guys were preparing for dinner.
"Can I help you guys?" She asked as she had started feeling restless and bored while seeing the two of them working.
Before Kaiden could have replied to her offer, Shadow handed her a cup of warm and freshly brewed herbal tea before he directed her back toward the seat where she had been sitting just a moment ago.
"You should just sit here and wait for us to finish the work. It won’t take too long." He softly patted the back of her head before he returned to his work.
Emily decided to not pester the men after that and just sat there enjoying the tea while her eyes trailed every moment of the two men as they cooked the dinner in a peaceful and warm atmosphere.
