The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 316: The Fae King’s Mate
Emily silently watched her brother and the Fae King staring at each other continuously for the past several minutes, and she would be lying if she said that she wasn’t regretting doing what she did. She should not have helped the Fae King but now it was too late to regret.
"You look just as handsome as that party a decade ago when we first met and spend the night together." The Fae King suddenly spoke and his words not only took the Alessandro Master by surprise but even made Emily choke on her coffee.
It took quite an effort for her to calm herself down and when she finally looked up again, she found her brother staring right back at her and looking at his stoic expression, she knew just how deeply she was trapped in trouble for lying to him and bringing him to meet the Fae King. There was no way she would be getting out of the situation without an earful.
"I... I will go and look around the place. You... you guys can continue..." She didn’t wait even for a second to hear either of their responses before she stood up from her seat and ran out of the pavilion. She didn’t stop until she was far away from the clearing and deep into the woods. At least, she was temporarily saved from her brother’s wrath.
She stood there with her back pressed against the trunk of a huge tree while her brain started spinning with all the curious questions about the history between her brother and the Fae King. Unfortunately, she had to keep her curiosity in control for the time being to stay away from trouble.
And while she spent some time in the dense forest to give the two men some privacy, the Fae King continued with his talking as if nothing had happened. "How have you been these past ten years?"
The man sitting on the other side of the coffee table didn’t appear interested in the ongoing conversation even a little bit. He seemed almost bored and indifferent. "Your Majesty, if you don’t have any business-related stuff to discuss with me then I’ll like to take my leave. I have a really busy day ahead and I’m sure you too don’t have too much free time to waste on me."
The man, clad in a custom-made black suit, stood up from his seat and without waiting for the Fae King’s permission, he was about to walk out of the pavilion but got stopped when a pair of solid arms suddenly surrounded him and pulled him into a back hug.
"I have all the free time in my hands, so you don’t have to worry about wasting my time." The Fae King said in a whispering tone before he took in a sharp breath as he softly nuzzled his nose against the crook of his mate’s neck, causing the latter to shudder and take in a deep breath too.
"Having you in my arms right now feels just as right as it felt that night ten years ago, Domenic."
The Alessandro Master closed his eyes as he stopped himself from taking another deep breath after hearing his name rolling out sweetly from the Fae King’s mouth, he couldn’t and should not give the King the satisfaction that the latter desired, he couldn’t show him that he was affected by their mate bond at all.
"Let me go, Your Majesty." He said in his usual calm but indifferent voice even when he was feeling anything but that at the moment.
The Fae King only tightened his hold on Domenic as he replied, "Not gonna happen. I’m not going to repeat the same mistake from a decade ago. I let you go that night and ended up losing you for such a long time. But since I have found you again, nothing and no one can make me let you go, not even you, my love."
Domenic just stayed silent as he tried not to react to the pull that was trying to bind him to the Fae King. He needed to get away from the man and never let him, the Fae King, find him again if that was even possible considering Emily was now his student.
"What happened ten years ago between us is in the past, let’s forget about it and not bring it up ever again." He finally spoke again as he successfully pulled away from the back hug and turned to look at the Fae King which turned out to be a bad decision as he almost became captivated when their gazes collided.
The King only smiled at Domenic’s words before he stepped forward and came dangerously close to the latter. "You are asking for the impossible, my love. We are soulmates, we are never supposed to forget about each other or any incident related to us. That’s why I’ll never forget that night."
He took another step closer to Domenic and successfully closed all the space that was present between their bodies. One of his arms went to wrap around his man’s waist while the other took hold of his clean-shaven chin.
He noticed the way Domenic’s eyes fluttered at his touch and his heartbeat picked up speed. There was no doubt that the usually calm and collected Alessandro Master was definitely feeling the pull of their soul bond.
The Fae King moved his face closer to his mate’s, his thumb softly sliding across the beautiful and perfect lips of his man while his other arm was pulling Domenic’s body against his own. The air was filled with intensity and tension radiating between them.
He was about to capture his man’s lips with his own when he suddenly felt a harsh push and Domenic was out of his arms the very next blink.
The Alessandro Master quickly returned to his usual calm attitude which seriously impressed the King. "Let me make this very clear... I’m not interested in either you... or this so-called mate bond."
