Chapter 145: 145: So Out Of Control

After entering his room, Simon went and sat on his chair, then he removed his Broken Smile mask, placed it on the table, leaned backward and just stared at the ceiling of his room.

There were no thoughts going through his mind, and he wanted it that way for a few moments.

A few seconds later, he released a deep sigh and closed his eyes.

Although he wished he could maintain his blank state of mind, he knew that this was not possible.

He needed to go through everything that happened from the moment he left the restaurant.

After leaving the restaurant, what he did was to purchase three clothes but steal two clothes from the clothing store he bought it from.

Then he came back to his room while ensuring that his neighbours saw him enter his room.

After some time, he quietly left his room when no other demon were around or nearby his house.

And this time around, he wore the Sword Daemon’s mask which transformed into the face of one of the low ranking demons he fought in his past life. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

He also changed his robes into what he wore when he killed Pellin.

Some Initiates saw him, but since he was not wearing the robes of an Initiate, none bothered him or even took a good look at his face.

And after leaving the dormitories of the Initiates, that was when he began looking for Pellin’s home.

After going through the rules and regulations of the clan, he knew that even Initiates could go to the lower tier of the clan where mainly Shadow Blades lived.

And he also got to know that the prison guards lived in the middle tier of the clan, and the chances of Pellin living in the middle tier was not slim.

When he went to the Intelligence Office, his main aim was not to locate Pellin’s home but to know how powerful he was.

He wanted to know his heart rank, and he wanted to know if it was possible to kill him.

The Intelligence Office was known to never give false information. They prided themselves on that, and when he learned that Pellin was just a Prime Archfiend, he knew that he could kill Pellin without causing so much noise.

Before devouring Pellin and Thorgan, Archfiends were far too powerful for him, and he would never choose to battle an Archfiend that knew how to battle.

It would be extremely dangerous for him.

Pellin was a demon pig, and Simon knew that demon pigs were not meant for battles. They were useless and just had a stupidly thick skin that some blades in their rank could not pierce.

But for Simon, it was good for him because he planned on assassinating Pellin, and the Chaos Blade could definitely cut through Pellin’s thick skin.

But assassinating Pellin was not the main problem for Simon, finding Pellin in his home and getting into his home was the main problem for him.

To get this information at a much lower cost, he chose to change his face into another demon he killed in his past life, then he asked several struggling slaves who needed a few merits just to survive.

Surprisingly, there were some slaves who hated Pellin with passion because he had taken a few slaves to torture and experiment a new torture technique on, and many slaves who lived close to Pellin’s home feared and hated him.

He only spent ten merits to know where Pellin’s home was located, and the only reason he even spent this much was because he asked several slaves in different locations to verify this information.

And after verifying it, there was another step he needed to take which was finding a way to enter Pellin’s home without being suspicious.

He needed those around Pellin’s home to not see him as a suspicious person, but as somebody who they knew was affiliated with Pellin.

And that was when he saw Turo, the demon dog who tortured him at first.

When he saw Turo, a plan was instantly formulated in his mind, and he believed that it would work.

Transform his face into Turo’s face, then use him to enter Pellin’s house and at the end of the day, Turo would be treated as a suspect.

He wasn’t going to deny that he also held a bit of grievance toward Turo for beating him up and torturing him.

Though, he did that because the clan ordered him to, and his torture was nothing compared to Pellin’s, he still wanted Turo to suffer for laying his hands on him.

And what better than impersonating Turo, thereby causing him to be a prime suspect once Pellin was found dead.

Although the clan would later realize that Turo was framed, and he would most likely be released, he would definitely suffer and maybe even get tortured at the end of the day.

Simon could envision how the possible scenarios would play out, and he knew that he would also become a suspect because he went to the Intelligence Office and requested for information.

This would be suspicious to the clan, and since the higher ups of the clan knew that he was tortured by Pellin, they wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted revenge.

However, he never paid for the location of Pellin’s home, and he was also a Lesser Demon with a. Supreme Common Bloodline.

Even though the clan knew that he was talented, it would be too mind blowing to them that Simon was able to kill Pellin.

And not only that, he chose to kill Pellin on the first day he arrived in the clan’s interior.

Assuming Pellin died weeks or months after Simon’s arrival, the clan would suspect him the more.

And they would even believe that he had a backer who gave him the opportunity and the confidence to kill Pellin despite his slave status.

Simon would be a suspect, but since the only two reasons why he would be a suspect is because he requested for Pellin’s information and was tortured by Pellin, it would not be enough evidence for the clan to say he was the culprit.

This was Simon’s plan and belief, but things spiralled out of control.

So out of control.
