The Cannon Fodder in the Global Apocalypse Game lives a leisurely life-Chapter 403: Templar of Light Apprentices (2)
Chapter 403: Templar of Light Apprentices (2)
Siri also knew that. "There’s no use in fretting over it. It will be a long day tomorrow. It’s better to get enough sleep so you’ll energy to do the tasks. I will arrange a group to guard all night and if something happens, inform me immediately."
The territory manager was right. Instead of wasting energy getting antsy over that monster, it’s better to preserve strength.
The people obediently returned to their quarters though this event will forever etched in their minds.
Siri exhaled a long deep breath before massaging his temples, gazing at the sky.
"Master, where are you? You should have at least said something before disappearing."

The spectators saw the magic circles and roughly guessed what was going on.
Damn! Someone made a move! They’re after the core!
Who was it?
Because the magic circles were above and had yet to unleashed its attacks they couldn’t rush forward lest they’d be swept along too.
"Sh*t! Just looking at those magic circles, they should be at least Tier 3."
"Not only Tier 3, I can see at least 3 Tier 4s and two Tier 5s."
The spectators gritted their teeth.
Because their stats were suppressed, their max mana points were also affected which means it’s less likely that someone cast all of them using incantation and used magic scrolls instead.
Even though magic scrolls are one-time items they are very expensive. A Tier 2 alone is worth 1, 500 Federation Coins equivalent to 4, 500 gold coins, in terms of Main Game Planet’s currency.
That amount is enough for a family of middle races to live two decades without worry about food.
Not to mention the Tier 5 which can reach a staggering 50, 000 to 80, 000 Federation coins.
And if that group, who were behind this, just splurged hundreds of thousands Federation coins without blinking, then maybe they were from a wealthy or affluent background.
Upon coming into this particular analysis, some of the spectators sighed in regret, and retreated.
They already wasted hours watching the Thunder Calamity, they better utilize the remaining time of their visit to gather useful resources rather than compete.
"Let’s go-"
Twenty minutes later, there was an explosion on the east, along the borders of the Desert Plain and the Forbidden Area where the vegetation was scarce. From a distance, they saw a pillar of thick smoke.
At the same time, the magic circles disappeared without even activating.

Twenty minutes ago...
Elaine spun her head and saw a rough outline of the small figure about the same height as her, fully covered by red blood, except for a pair of blue eyes.
Chunhua’s current look was like Sadako that crawled out of abandoned deep mossy well located in dimly lit forest to someone’s TV monitor screen enough to scare anyone.
And it blue eyes were staring at her intensely as if it wanted to devour her.
Since when?
Since when there was someone behind her?!
She was certain that there was no one near her seconds ago!
Elaine was visibly stunned and her line of sight inadvertently travelled to the blood sticking on the figure’s body.
A monster!
And it can talk!
She leapt a meter back and used a skill.
[Intermediate Appraisal Skill Activated]
[Player....]
[Intermediate Appraisal failed. Unable to obtain more information.]
So it was only a Player?! Not a monster?
Elaine scoffed for being scared for no reason.
She must have been just too excited in obtaining the monster core that she had lowered her guard. She reasoned out in her mind.
It was always a well-known fact that every candidates in the Centennial Games were from low-level civilizations, from the lowest of the low rungs that were given the rare chances to transcend.
But only a handful makes it out alive in the final round and they still find themselves a frog in a small pond in vast galaxy.
Therefore, Elaine’s superior background and upbringing always made her develop condescending attitude towards these players. In her eyes they were no different from bugs that live in the garbage or barren planets with no potential, needlessly crawling their way to survive.
(A/N: She was referring to the natives from low races.)
They only waste the resources of the Main Game Planet. The system should have prioritized those that were sure to bring out results, like her.
Her expression changed to that of repulsion and envy, which she was lazy to hide.
Her thoughts came to halt when she remembered the monster core. She turned around but the thing she was after was completely gone and only her magic circles remained, hanging above the air.
"My monster core!" Elaine exclaimed in anger. She clenched her fists and gnashed her teeth.
Damn! It must have escaped when she was distracted!
Her face distorted even further.
At realizing the reason for the loss of the core, she turned around and glared at culprit.
"You made me lose the monster core...Compensate me with your life!" A silver short staff with a crescent shaped head where a small green sphere is floating materialized in her right hand.
Elaine suddenly recalled the penalty given to visitors if they ever kill players and stopped the casting at the last moment.
Tch. How troublesome.
She can’t kill this bug.
But that doesn’t mean she can’t torment it...
"Since I’m feeling generous today, I will not kill you but you need to leave your arms and legs!" Elaine spouted viciously with a malicious grin plastered on her face. freёnovelkiss-com
Meanwhile, in Chunhua’s point of view.
So hungry...
So hungry...
What the heck did she say?
Why does it sound so gibberish?
Ugh... so hungry...so hungry....
I can’t think straight.
The sphere of the staff glowed and the ground around the blood soaked figure quake and numerous vines thick as human torsos emerged from the soil and lunged at the blue-eyed player, aiming for it four limbs.
Its tips were glinting with sharpness on par with swords.
