The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 107: Using Seduction for Work?
Yelena Hughes didn’t dare to go out, so whatever he said, she had to go along with it.
Jasper Yale finally lazily lifted his eyes, "Halfway through, what’s the meaning?"
Yelena Hughes perked up her ears; she didn’t believe he didn’t understand the hidden meaning in those words.
Must he ask to get it out in the open, just to find out the meaning?
"Just one step away now, Young Master Warren is getting restless, bound to bring the person back by any means."
Jasper Yale threw the menu on the table, his face grim and frightening, "No woman was seen, get out."
"But..." There’s nowhere else to hide on this top floor.
Hailey Jenkins gave them a sinister look, "Before I throw you out myself, get lost on your own."
The man reluctantly retracted his gaze, closed the door, and instructed his people, "Block the elevator and the staircase exit; I don’t believe she can fly out."
Yelena Hughes crouched under the round table and heard the lock click, finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.
She moved towards Jasper Yale’s side, lifted the tablecloth, and wanted to crawl out.
Unexpectedly, a man’s hand landed on her shoulder, Jasper Yale’s two fingers tapped twice on her shoulder, "Don’t come out."
"Are you here for a meal, master?"
That’s great; she won’t be worried about getting out later.
Jasper Yale looked Yelena Hughes up and down, the wine-red dress rode up due to her half-crouch, hardly covering her smooth, jade-like legs.
"Yelena Hughes," the man’s eyes dropped, scrutinizing without giving her any mental preparation, "Were you trying to seduce someone just to get news?"
Did she sit on some other man’s lap?
Which part of her body hasn’t been touched?
"No, I just disguised myself as a waiter to sneak in, I stood at the side and did nothing."
Who would believe that?
Jasper Yale looked at her coldly, "Then how did you get discovered?"
It was truly unfortunate, Yelena Hughes was a bit annoyed, "It was that Young Master Warren, he ate a dish he liked and insisted on asking for its name."
Yelena Hughes didn’t calculate that she would be called out.
"I glanced at it and told him it was pig tail. The waiter next to me got terrified and said it’s called ’Lotus Desire Tail.’"
A private room waiter who can’t even name a dish is certainly suspicious.
Yelena Hughes was just about to crawl out and speak, but heard voices from outside again.
Jasper Yale pressed her head back under the table.
The door opened, Josephine pushed in a wheelchair, and Nancy Alden’s voice almost gave Yelena Hughes a blow to the head.
"Jasper, you didn’t come out to greet me."
"That elevator only stops at the top floor, no one will see you." Jasper stood up, walked to the wheelchair, and lifted Nancy Alden out.
He seated her on the chair opposite, "I came first to clear this floor, are you mad?"
"I’m not that petty."
Josephine pushed the wheelchair to a corner and hid it.
Yelena Hughes dared not breathe loudly and saw Jasper Yale had returned to his original seat.
Nancy Alden was not satisfied, "I want to sit beside you."
"Sitting like this is fine, I can get a good look at you."
Hailey Jenkins was observing Nancy Alden’s expression on the side; she seemed to really believe it.
Nancy Alden touched her face, "What’s so good to look at?"
"You’ve lost a bit of weight, your face is smaller."
"You can’t give me any other compliments."
Jasper Yale’s long legs crossed, leaning back slightly; the person under the table must be quite tormented by now. "Hailey, let the dishes be served."
"Yes."
Yelena Hughes couldn’t gauge how long these two would eat, does she just have to wait here?
Nancy Alden noticed Jasper gazing thoughtfully at the table beneath, "What’s up? Is there some treasure under the table?"
Yelena Hughes feared Miss Alden would lean over and pulled the tablecloth away.
Jasper Yale gave a slight smile, "I was just thinking, it’s almost the new year."
Nancy Alden perked up a bit, putting her hands on her lap, slightly nervously grasping her skirt, "Jasper, I haven’t seen Aunt Yale for so long, will you take me over during the new year?"
He protected her so well, not even telling his closest ones, is it because he wants to protect her or...
Has he never thought of marrying her?
"There’s a lot happening at home, things are complex," Jasper didn’t give her a definite answer, "I want you to focus on getting well first."
"True," Nancy Alden looked dejected, "In my current state, I’m not fit to see people."
Jasper saw her eyes turn slightly red, yet she was holding back; on New Year’s Day, he indeed had to return to the Yale family.
By then, Nancy Alden would have nowhere to go except The Summit Gardens.
"Cooperate well with the doctors, on New Year, I’ll take you home."
Yelena Hughes curled up in the cramped space, arms tightly around her knees; Miss Alden was worrying too much, she didn’t need to fear Jasper ignoring her.
Perhaps after the New Year, all major media in Southcross City would receive the good news of their imminent wedding?
Nancy Alden took a reassuring breath, her face immediately lighting up with a smile, "Then I will definitely cooperate well with the doctors, it would be great to fully recover by New Year."
Jasper acknowledged softly, the waiter entered the room and began serving dishes.
Hailey Jenkins and Josephine left first, and the waiter was also dismissed by Nancy Alden after serving.
In fact, she didn’t spend much alone time with Jasper, so she cherished it dearly.
"Jasper..."
The man was picking up food with chopsticks but then heard Yelena Hughes’ name from her mouth.
"Have you met up with Yelena Hughes recently?"
How could he not? Right now, they were quite close.
Yet Jasper maintained a detached expression and tone, "No."
Nancy Alden’s private investigator was still tailing Yelena Hughes, just that as a reporter, she was too restless. The detective was tired and had been taking random photos for her.
"It’s best if you haven’t; you should definitely stay away from women like that."
Yelena Hughes wasn’t hearing this kind of evaluation for the first time, just powerless to argue.
Jasper slightly raised his eyelids, "What kind of woman is she?"
Nancy Alden concealed the disgust in her eyes, "Jasper, you saw it at Aaron Payne’s birthday party last time too, I really have never seen a woman who, for money... tramples her dignity so low."
Jasper couldn’t forget that scene.
Yelena Hughes covered in cake, the awkward dance, and her bunny tail, scrambling for money with others.
"She needed the money."
Nancy Alden couldn’t believe it; was Jasper speaking up for her?
"She sleeps with you for medication, kneels for money, I don’t believe... you’d fancy such a woman."
Yelena Hughes’s shoulders slumped, raising her hands, gently covering her ears.
She didn’t need anyone to constantly remind her.
