The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 134: Can’t Resist Her Temptation
Yelena Hughes finished speaking and glanced at Jasper Yale’s expression.
It was inscrutable; no one could guess what he was thinking.
Nancy Alden looked at Yelena Hughes’ hand reaching out, "I don’t understand what you’re saying."
Yelena Hughes’ face was anything but calm, but she had to hide any trace of anger. She knew that matters had reached a conclusion at this point.
Nancy Alden wouldn’t personally contact those hooligans, moreover, Josephine had already taken the blame.
Even if Yelena Hughes was unwilling, she couldn’t continue to tangle.
"Miss Alden, when you hire people in the future, make sure to pick more wisely."
Nancy Alden softly placed her hand on Jasper Yale’s arm, "Consider the jewelry a gift from me to Josephine, okay? She just had a moment of folly. Jasper..."
Nancy Alden’s eyes were red, her voice small, tears brimming as she softly called his name.
"Jasper, Jasper, I beg you..."
Yelena Hughes heard it all, not only feeling uncomfortable but also disgusted.
Clearly, Nancy Alden was the instigator, yet she could still sit there calmly, even trying to pull Josephine into this mess?
Yelena Hughes was genuinely afraid Jasper Yale would agree, but then what about the suffering Anne had endured?
"Little Master."
She softened her voice, and if Yelena Hughes wished, she could be coquettish and charming too. "Thank you, I’ll treat you to dinner."
Jasper Yale’s attention was drawn over, "You’re treating me to a 199 self-service buffet?"
"Of course not, Little Master can eat whatever you want."
Nancy Alden nudged the man’s arm, "Jasper—"
"The Little Master said he received the items, where are they?"
Jasper Yale called out to Hailey Jenkins, and the door of the private room was opened again. She came in carrying a bag containing several phones and a computer.
"Everything’s inside."
Yelena Hughes picked out one of the phones and opened it without needing any passwords.
She found a video inside and listened to Nancy Alden calling Jasper Yale’s name over and over again.
Yelena Hughes threw the phone back into the bag, exhaled, and patted Anne Hughes’ hand.
"Quick, thank the Little Master. The video is recovered, and no one can threaten you again."
Anne Hughes’ face, devoid of color, finally showed some liveliness, "Sis, do they still have more?"
"No, that would be like slapping the Little Master’s face, implying he didn’t do his job well."
Jasper Yale chuckled, "I helped you so much, and you’re not grateful?"
"I am, my heart is filled with gratitude for you. May I toast to you?"
Nancy Alden’s lips were trembling; not only did Yelena Hughes completely ignore her, but even Jasper Yale did, not listening to her earnest pleas.
Yelena Hughes poured a cup of sake, picked it up, and Jasper Yale, who had his hand entwined by Nancy Alden, had to use his left hand to hold the cup.
Just as the two cups were about to clink, Yelena Hughes ’accidentally’ spilled her drink.
The sake chilled the man’s fingers; she let out an exclamation and hurriedly grabbed Jasper Yale’s wrist.
"Sorry, Little Master, I didn’t mean to."
Yelena Hughes put down the cup, took a napkin, and earnestly wiped Jasper Yale’s hand.
She didn’t miss a single finger; Nancy Alden watched this and then looked at Jasper Yale.
His gaze was as sharp as a deity who wouldn’t be swayed even with a demon in front of him, yet his eyes were fixed on Yelena Hughes, motionless.
"Little Master, I’ll drink first as a token of respect," Yelena Hughes said, downing the drink on the table.
"No need to be so formal." Jasper Yale sipped slightly from his cup.
The two seemed to be doing nothing out of line, yet any perceptive person could see something was off.
Yelena Hughes felt noticeably more relaxed. She didn’t take Anne Hughes away but instead sat down and began ordering with seeming composure.
Jasper Yale placed his phone beside him, tapping on the screen.
"Jasper." Nancy Alden now felt she was redundant, "I feel a bit uneasy sitting still. I want to go home."
Yelena Hughes heard her phone beep.
Jasper Yale’s gaze casually swept towards Nancy Alden, "Is your leg uncomfortable?"
"Yes." Nancy Alden clutched his arm, wanting to get Jasper Yale to leave so she could plead with him again, ensuring Josephine would be fine.
Yelena Hughes unlocked her screen and saw it was a message from Jasper Yale.
"You should lick them clean, one by one."
Yelena Hughes blushed and panicked, worried Anne Hughes might see, hurriedly covering the screen with her hand.
But in the chaos, she accidentally tipped over another cup.
Yelena Hughes bowed to tidy up while Jasper Yale’s fingers, still slightly sticky from the spilled drink, felt awkward.
"Then let’s head back."
Hearing the man say this, Nancy Alden finally managed a smile, "Alright, let’s go quickly."
Yelena Hughes saw through her tactics; Josephine was still waiting for her rescue.
She picked up her phone, unabashedly, and replied to Jasper Yale’s message. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Nancy Alden packed up the things on the table, and Jasper Yale noticed his phone lighting up, the message bold and direct on the screen.
"If Little Master wants, I won’t say no."
Jasper Yale’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and Yelena Hughes brought her cup to her lips, her hand covering part of her face.
She gave him a glance but quickly looked away.
Jasper Yale saw her sneaky glances, unable to resist her provocations anymore.
"Jasper, let’s go."
As he stood, his arm reached around Nancy Alden’s waist, and she naturally embraced his neck.
Nancy Alden glanced across at Yelena Hughes; no matter Jasper Yale’s slight favoritism, what did it matter?
When it came time to choose, he would never leave her.
Yelena Hughes watched as Jasper Yale walked out, Hailey Jenkins bringing over a wheelchair.
Anne Hughes followed with her gaze, "Sis, are we leaving?"
"No," Yelena Hughes should have gotten used to it. She picked up the tablet, first checking the prices. Though expensive, she could afford a small treat by gritting her teeth. "Anne, what do you want to eat?"
Jasper Yale placed Nancy Alden in the wheelchair, hearing the partition door slide open behind him.
He instructed Hailey Jenkins, "Take her back first."
Nancy Alden immediately wanted to cling to him, "Jasper, aren’t you coming with me?"
"You’re not feeling well. Go back and rest first."
"I want you to come with me."
Hailey Jenkins was already pushing the wheelchair forward. When Nancy Alden turned back, she saw Jasper Yale opening the door and returning to the private room.
Yelena Hughes heard footsteps approaching and, unexpectedly, looked up.
Jasper Yale sat back in his original seat, "Why are you staring at me like that?"
"I thought you had left."
The man tapped his fingers on the wine glass, noticing candies in the snack and fruit tray beside him.
He tossed a lollipop over, "I haven’t seen you eat it yet, so how could I leave?"
Jasper Yale initially wanted to say ’lick’, but, mindful of Anne Hughes being present, he held back.
