The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 96: Come Home With Me, I’m Begging You
This kind of Young Master Yale looks quite chilling.
Yelena Hughes pulled up the Silver Chain slipping from her shoulder, watching Jasper Yale about to open the door.
She quickly held onto his arm, shaking her head softly.
Almost using lip-reading, she said, "You can’t go out."
There’s a crowd outside; if Jasper Yale opens the door like this, it’s nothing to him, but after all, she’s a woman.
Could it be that Shawn Thorne’s camera would capture her in it?
Make Nancy Alden really think they’re having an affair?
Yelena Hughes tightly pressed against the door. Jasper Yale’s gaze swept over her face; he shouldn’t have experienced such a scene before.
Shawn Thorne hung up the video call; Nancy Alden was about to push the wheelchair out.
Josephine quickly stopped her, "Miss, where are you going?"
"I’m going to find him."
"Even if Young Master is really in that room, you can’t change a thing."
Nancy Alden felt her heart tortured like being thrown into a frying pan, "So I should just turn a blind eye? At least I want him back by my side, Josephine, don’t stop me."
"But..."
"Can you bear to see me like this?"
Josephine knew she couldn’t stop her this time, "Alright, just go, even if it means losing face...it should be Yelena Hughes who loses face."
Nancy Alden’s wheelchair rolled over the book on the floor; she now desperately wished to confront Yelena Hughes, tear off her clothes, let everyone see her ugly side.
Outside the room, Shawn Thorne had already smoked three cigarettes.
He didn’t even know where his anger came from.
Someone nearby suggested an idea, "Should we get the key?"
"Mind your own business, will you?"
The person quickly shrank back their neck, such an unreasonable rage.
Inside the room, Yelena Hughes listened to the crowd outside, showing no sign of dispersing; she walked to the sofa and looked at the man sitting there.
"You must have a way to get rid of them all."
Jasper Yale crossed his legs, his mood unpredictable, "Why are you so timid now?"
"It’s not that I’m timid, I just don’t want to be laughed at by others."
"Then why did you come out with the Thorne guys?"
Yelena’s lips parted slightly; she saw Jasper Yale’s collar in slight disarray, his Adam’s apple prominent, asking softly and firmly.
Yelena pondered for a moment, then tested, "Originally, Master Thorne wanted Madeline to come over."
"Who?"
"The girl who was found at The Summit Gardens and got bitten by the dog Young Master raised."
Jasper Yale gestured for her to continue, Yelena’s hands relaxed at her sides, gripping the skirt fabric, "She’s a good person, righteous and kind-hearted. I’m afraid if she falls into Master Thorne’s hands, it won’t end well for her."
"So, you came in her place?"
Yelena just wanted to probe Jasper Yale’s tone, "If I really encounter a serious problem here, beg Young Master, you would definitely help me. But Madeline is different; if she ever encounters a life-or-death situation, whether or not I can..."
Beg you, help her too?
Jasper Yale raised his cold gaze towards Yelena Hughes, "What makes you think I would help you?"
She was briefly stunned, "Because you gave me that money, that’s helping me."
"But giving money to me is just a matter of moving a finger," Jasper Yale thought of Yelena Hughes being embraced by Shawn Thorne earlier, feeling discomfort all around, "You take it too much for granted."
He leaned forward and grabbed her hand, his thumb pressing lightly on the back of her hand, "Those four words for self-preservation, didn’t you learn it in language class? Other people’s life or death has nothing to do with you?"
Yelena Hughes heard a cold-blooded tone in his words.
Jasper Yale didn’t bother to delve into the depth of her words, just teaching her the most ordinary truth.
"If you beg me to save you, my heart might soften, and maybe I’ll agree. But for someone else, why?"
Yelena’s heart completely sank, Jasper Yale hadn’t even had time to question her reasons when he saw her awkwardly pull at her lips.
"I was just casually asking, afraid that there really might be such a day."
"Then, let her die."
Yelena Hughes listened, and her heart felt cold as ice.
The blood in her whole body seemed to have solidified.
She should be thankful she didn’t tear up with Shawn Thorne, nor did she put all her hopes on Jasper Yale.
Him pulling her along is already reluctant, let alone Madeline Forest.
Yelena Hughes listened to the noise coming from outside, feeling uneasy, "Young Master, think of a way, let those people disperse."
Jasper Yale also didn’t want to be surrounded like this, it was annoying and absurd.
He took out his phone wanting Hailey Jenkins to handle it, yet Nancy Alden’s call came in first.
Jasper stared at it momentarily, then answered.
"Hello."
"Jasper, I’m here."
"Where are you?"
Nancy Alden tightened her palm, sitting in the car, looking at the brightly lit villa through the glass, "I followed the address Shawn Thorne gave me, would you come home with me now?"
Jasper had a moment of deep contemplation, "What are you listening to him for?"
"I don’t listen to him; I don’t believe what he says, but I want you to come home with me. Now, is that okay?" Nancy Alden was cautious, afraid he’d refuse, even more afraid of losing him.
Yelena Hughes heard their conversation clearly, having no right to interject at this moment.
"Jasper, if you really like Yelena Hughes, bring her back; I’ll leave."
Yelena Hughes wondered what Nancy Alden was thinking; wasn’t it laughable for her to say that?
Outside, the light shone in, clearly illuminating the man’s face in segments, "Where will you go?"
"Back to my own home."
"Nancy, don’t overthink it. Shawn Thorne is deceiving you."
Nancy Alden eyes stared at that courtyard, hating her poor legs; otherwise, she’d have gone in long ago.
"Come home with me now, I beg you."
Jasper lowered his eyelids, and Yelena heard him say okay.
He ended the call, then contacted Hailey Jenkins to handle it.
The noise outside grew louder, and another call came to Jasper’s phone.
He handled his patience, speaking to Nancy Alden, "Coming out soon."
"Young Master—" it was Josephine’s voice on the other end, "Miss insists on going in, I couldn’t stop her."
Nancy Alden opened the car door, pushing away Josephine’s pulling hand. As she moved her leg out, her foot barely touched the ground when she fell to the ground.
"Miss—"
Josephine hurriedly got out from the other side.
Nancy Alden couldn’t care less whether others saw her like this.
Jasper heard the noise and stood up. He quickly walked to the window, reaching out to part the curtain.
Looking out from here, he could see the gate, Yelena Hughes followed with two steps, seeing Nancy Alden lying on the ground, crawling slowly towards the yard.
Jasper’s expression turned grim; he couldn’t bear to watch such a scene.
He lowered his arm with the phone and turned to leave.
Yelena Hughes followed him to the door, watching the man reach out to open it.
"Young Master..."
