The Days of Being the Richest Man in the Ninja World-Chapter 324. First Day
Chapter 324 - 324. First Day
Chapter 324. First Day
---
Today was Sasuke's first day at the academy.
As the second son of the Uchiha Clan Leader and the younger brother of the Uchiha genius—Itachi Uchiha—Sasuke had his own pride too.
At home, he was the doted-on little brother, but outside, he was Uchiha Sasuke.
Early in the morning—
Thinking he was already grown up, Sasuke carried his prepared belongings and strapped the gift his brother had given him—a limited edition Flying Thunder God Sword—onto his waist.
He had tried it out yesterday!
After turning the lights off and pressing it—
It actually glowed!
Lightning would flash across it, and if he gave it a little shake, the color would even change!
It was just too cool.
Really worthy of being a gift from Onii-chan.
Unfortunately—
He hadn't gotten to show it to Onii-chan last night.
After getting everything ready, Sasuke stepped out of his room and saw his mother had already prepared breakfast, while his father sat nearby reading the newspaper with a stern expression.
Onii-chan had said—
Father just wasn't good at expressing himself, but he still loved both him and Onii-chan, so there was no need to worry.
If there were any problems, he could go to Father to discuss them—because he was their father!
Also, Uncle Yuto... if there were issues, he could ask Uncle Yuto too. Even though Uncle Yuto was a businessman, he was still very capable. Some of what he said was worth listening to, and some... well, just hear it and let it go.
Just don't go to Uncle Yuto too often, or you'll gain weight!
Sasuke didn't really understand why Onii-chan said that, but he always listened to him.
"Good morning, Sasuke. Eat your breakfast first—it's about time to head to the academy," Mikoto said, noticing the dark circles under his eyes. Of course, she knew the kid must've been too excited to sleep last night. Glancing at the toy sword on his waist, she stifled a laugh. "Itachi left early for a mission. How about Mom walks you to the academy today?"
Upon hearing that—
Sasuke lowered his head in slight disappointment, but then shook it like a little adult and said, "No need! I'm not a kid anymore! I can go by myself!"
With that, he quickly finished his breakfast, got down from his chair, and said, "I'm done! Mom! Dad!"
Then he grabbed his things, chest puffed out, walking like a proper little man.
"I'm going to the academy!"
"Be careful on the way," Uchiha Mikoto said gently, watching Sasuke walk out. Once he was out of sight, she rested her chin in her palm with a worried look. "Sasuke's still so small. Will he really be okay?"
As soon as she said that—
Fugaku folded his newspaper, stood up with a blank face, and calmly said, "I'm going to work."
After that—
He picked up the lunch bag beside him and headed straight out the door.
"Be careful on the way," Mikoto said again. Her face finally relaxed a bit, and she smiled helplessly. "Is this what Yuto meant by tsundere?"
Fugaku was the same as always.
He was clearly worried, but acted like he didn't care.
Sasuke was a little like Fugaku too!
So worrying.
Mikoto sighed, shook her head, looked at the now-empty house, and stretched. "Time to start cleaning!"
...
On the other side—
With his Onii-chan's sword at his waist and a lunch bag in hand, Sasuke also made his way to the academy like a little grown-up.
Especially with the limited edition Flying Thunder God Sword—he felt like the coolest kid on the block. It even seemed like everyone was watching him.
Hmph.
Of course they were!
After all, he was an Uchiha. The moment he appeared, he was bound to draw everyone's attention.
Before long—
He arrived safely at the academy.
Suddenly—
He stopped.
He turned his head in confusion, feeling like someone was following him. But after glancing around, he saw nothing and didn't give it a second thought.
After all, this was Konoha—how could there be any danger?
Besides, his father and the Hokage were protecting the village.
He continued on, head high and chest out, walking into the building with pride.
Soon enough—
He reached his classroom, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
As expected.
Wherever an Uchiha went, they were always the center of attention.
"Sasuke, awesome! You're in this class too!"
"Mm."
Sasuke looked at the blond little kid and nodded.
Uzumaki Naruto!
The Fourth Hokage's son—he had met him when he went to watch the car race.
But he was just a loud, boisterous kid really, always shouting and acting like a little child!
"This is the Limited Edition Flying Thunder God Sword?" Naruto stared at the sword on Sasuke's waist and immediately shrieked, "That thing's super hard to get! How'd you get one?!"
That sudden outburst drew annoyed glances from the girls who were admiring the handsome guys nearby.
Sure, Naruto was the son of the Fourth Hokage, but the girls didn't really care about that. They were just here to look at the handsome guys!
Meanwhile, off to the side, the bored and sleepy heir of the Nara clan, Nara Shikamaru, listened to the shrieking and excitement with a helpless sigh. But... the Limited Edition Flying Thunder God Sword? He had to admit he was a little curious too.
After all, that was the so-called divine weapon that kids always talked about!
He looked over, and sure enough, there was that cool-looking sword, flickering as if with lightning. "It's pretty cool."
"This was a gift from my Onii-chan!" Sasuke proudly lifted his chin. Feeling all eyes on him made his smirk even wider. But when Naruto reached to touch the sword, he quickly pulled it away. "Hmph! This isn't something just anyone can touch!"
"So stingy! What's the harm in letting me touch it?" Naruto pouted, then kept staring at the sword. "I heard it lights up and makes super cool sounds!"
"Of course it does."
"Can I see it up close?"
"No."
"Sasuke, you stingy jerk! We're friends, aren't we?!"
"Childish." Sasuke scoffed coldly, ready to ignore him, but then he saw the look of longing in Naruto's eyes.
For no reason, he felt a little bad.
"...Fine, I'll let you see it."
Just as he said that—
Before Naruto could even nod in excitement—
"Ding-dong!"
The academy bell rang.
A figure walked into the room.
"All right, class is starting. I'm your homeroom teacher, Umino Iruka. You can call me Iruka-sensei!"
Seeing the teacher enter, Sasuke quickly stashed away his Flying Thunder God Sword and sat up straight.
As an Uchiha, he absolutely couldn't be lazy in class!
However—
Feeling Naruto poking him constantly from behind made him increasingly annoyed. Especially when a paper note came flying his way!
Sasuke frowned, but still cautiously unfolded it in secret.
Written on it was—
[You said you would show it to me! You can't go back on your word!]
[Childish idiot.] Sasuke snorted inwardly, ready to ignore it, but Naruto kept poking him from behind.
Helplessly—
He glanced up at the teacher, then quickly scribbled a reply:
[An Uchiha never breaks his word! Got it?! Now stop bothering me and focus in class! Come to my house tonight. I'll show you my glowing Flying Thunder God Sword.]
He finished writing and quickly tossed it back, then refocused on class.
Today—
The weather was sunny.
It was Uchiha Sasuke's first day at the academy.
Also the first day for the Golden Generation of Konoha.
...
Elsewhere—
In a secluded forest in the Land of Fields—
Kabuto looked slightly surprised at the feminine man licking his lips in front of him. He hadn't expected that the teacher he'd been introduced to was none other than the former member of the Legendary Sannin who betrayed the village for a billion ryo—Orochimaru.
What was that guy thinking?
Before he could say anything—
Orochimaru licked his lips again, then smiled and said, "Welcome, Yakushi Kabuto."
Today—
It was also Kabuto's first day interning at Orochimaru's lab!
