The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities-Chapter 405: Powerless (Part 1)
She would desperately protect everything she wanted to hold onto, the warmth she desired, her family, her child.
Blood transfusion...
Only a blood transfusion can save her child? An’an had said she was carrying a daughter, so apart from a transfusion, there was no other way.
Yun Feng had been persistently discussing blood transfusion procedures with An’an, preparing for the transfusion, right? Are they... planning to act when she gives birth to the child?
As long as the transfusion is successful, the child will be safe, but what about Su Yu?
Han Jing wasn’t foolish. This transfusion couldn’t just involve partial switching; it had to be complete. Even for a newborn infant, the amount of blood needed far exceeded what an adult could provide—could Su Yu be in danger...
"For a transfusion, is it possible for any close relative to do it?" Han Jing looked up and asked.
Lan Lan nodded blankly, still trying to process what she had just learned. She was truly in disbelief of the truth she had just discovered. She sincerely admired Han Jing’s ability to still calmly ask her these questions in this moment.
Han Jing’s inquiry proved that she, like her, knew nothing. Under these circumstances, even as an outsider, she had no idea how to digest the truth. Yet Han Jing hadn’t gone mad or broken down. Aside from the master she had followed for many years, she had never seen anyone remain so composed.
This woman was truly terrifying.
"You should know, tonight the things you told me are what Su Yu doesn’t want me to know. If he finds out it came from you, you should understand what the consequences would be. So, do you know what to do?" Han Jing said coldly.
Lan Lan felt her whole body stiffen as her breath caught. She didn’t dare to do anything against her master’s wishes. If the master found out she had inadvertently revealed something he wanted to be kept a secret from Han Jing, her fate...she did not dare to imagine.
"Thank you, Princess Consort, for the life-saving grace." Lan Lan suddenly knelt down and saluted Han Jing.
This gratitude held two meanings.
One was thanking her for saving Su Yu, and the other for saving herself.
For tonight’s matters, if Han Jing were to leak even a single word, she would meet a bad end.
But Han Jing’s intention was to keep it hidden, to let no one know.
She truly admired her, wondering just how strong one’s heart must be to handle such matters so calmly and act as if nothing had happened.
Bearing disgrace, labeled as being sullied and pregnant before marriage, marrying her nominal uncle, only to discover in the end, that this was a play orchestrated by everyone behind her back, and even her child’s life was at risk. This threat to life was because of her husband.
In the depths of Lan Lan’s heart, she was deeply shaken. Perhaps she truly misjudged; Han Jing was indeed the most suitable woman for her master in this world.
For indeed, any other woman at this moment would probably break down, use this as leverage to bargain for greater benefits, or play the victim to garner sympathy. But she did none of these.
Han Jing waved her hand: "You may go."
When Mu Jin returned, Lan Lan had already left. Mu Jin saw Han Jing sitting alone on the bed, staring blankly into the distance, and quietly asked, "Miss, what’s wrong? Why did Lan Lan leave? Did she say anything? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Han Jing came back to herself, smiled faintly, and shook her head: "I’m fine."
