The Devil's Betrothed-Chapter 810: Arrival Of The Emperor Of Heaven Realm
When the enraged deity of fire was up to fulfilling her revenge, leaving all the deities and the entire heaven realm threatened, while her kins were only worried about her safety, someone appeared in the heaven realm after so long.
The one who had isolated himself from all the heavenly matters, abandoning all his ties with the heaven realm, and chose to live in seclusion, leaving everything in the hands of the King of Heaven, Grianor.
Solaris the Divine, the Emperor of Heaven.
He was finally forced to appear in the heaven realm as all three realms were at the edge of destruction.
The moment he appeared in the throne hall, each and every one present there got on their knees — Grianor, Drayvor, Draven, and the entire heaven realm.
While the ones from the mortal world, they didn’t know who he was.
Evanthe looked at the newcomer as she felt the familiar energy from him.
"Your father, the heavenly emperor," Sierra told her in a weak voice, and moved weakly to get on her knees so she could bow to him. Evanthe helped her, kneeling next to her and lowering her head as well. Her heart was heavy at the thought that she could finally see him, who she had only heard about.
Drayce and Seren did the same, as he was someone related to Evanthe.
Solaris looked at everyone, and then his gaze stopped at his daughter.
"Rise!" he told them in a calm, composed voice, but it had a commanding tone which could order all the three realms to obey him.
He was power himself — the divine power seemed to flow through him with no bounds at all. The oldest deity in existence, almost ancient one could say, with the cultivation of divine energy far beyond what one could imagine.
In all the realms, if any ancient being possessed such a strong cultivation and was as old as him, it would have been the demon lord, Oriana’s grandfather, who was not in existence now. But opposite to Solaris, the demon lord possessed absolute darkness.
At Solaris’ command, everyone rose to their feet. All the deities felt relieved to see him as they knew only the emperor would have a way to protect all the three realms. Moreover, his appearance here, when he had already decided to never meddle in the matters related to the three realms, signified that he was there for a reason — a reason to protect them and the three realms from extinction.
Wordlessly, Solaris looked at the ones who didn’t belong to the heaven realm, but to the mortal realm.
"Seeing you all have returned here and gathered together makes me feel like I am back to the golden days of the heaven realm." He especially meant it for certain few people — Grianor, Drayvor, Draven, and the deities who had to leave the heaven realms, including his own daughter.
"Supreme lord, it was my incompetence that the heaven realm lost so much and is now falling to ruins," Grianor said. "I have failed you, failed the responsibilities you once trusted me with."
"You sure have failed," Solaris said, "but that’s not entirely your fault. It was a test for you as well as for everyone of us, for the greater cause."
And then he turned to Isis, who was kneeling helplessly on the ground after Oriana had diverted her own attack back to her when she tried to harm Seren.
"Isis, once you blamed me for being unfair towards you. You said I was biased towards my biological daughter, Evanthe. While you claimed I gave you nothing because you were just another creation crafted by my wife through the power of desires gathered in this universe, and not any elemental power," Solaris said to her, his gaze and words calm and absolute.
Isis trembled in her place as she heard him. Yes, she indeed had blamed him once and said his bias towards his daughter was the reason no one acknowledges the deity of desire anymore.
Solaris continued, "I let my daughter suffer under every test you put her into, every scheme you orchestrated against her, let her sacrifice everything she cherished, and even took away her rightful identity and place. And you? You got everything in her place — the position that should have belonged to her.
"You became the queen of the heaven realm in her place, you got the reins of the heaven realm and absolute power as well, but what happened? You didn’t just stop at it. You harmed other deities as well which is now being the reason of destruction of all the realms.
"You yourself proved that you were never worthy of it. Your unending desires are your doom; they even surpass the collective power of desires from the three realms. You are nothing but a greedy deity who could never be satisfied, even if the entire universe knelt at your feet."
Isis had nothing to say in retort. She was defeated, and all she could do was wait for her punishment.
As he said it, Evanthe looked at him, his words slowly sinking into her. So he was aware of what was happening with her, and he let it happen. Everyone who suffered due to Isis — her father was aware of it all. Then why did he not meddle before? Why let everyone suffer this way and put all three realms in danger?
Solaris turned to Oriana. "Princess Esmeray, once more you proved you have always been invincible. You are truly worthy to hold the power bestowed upon you by your grandfather. Your return is surely commendable."
"If it’s that commendable, how about I take this vile deity to the depth of hell with me?" Oriana said, her tone anything but polite. "The king of heaven and the God of War are adamant on stopping me."
"As you are in the heaven realm, you have to obey King Grianor. Maybe you can come to a common decision with him once we take care of the matters at hand."
Oriana was about to argue, but Arlan held her hand to calm her and said to Solaris, "We do look forward to a satisfying result."
Oriana simply looked at Arlan, her dark gaze narrowed at him, and in exchange he offered her a smile. "Being a sweet demoness once in a while won’t harm us, isn’t it? First, we have to stop Ember or my dream of having little dragons and demonesses with you will vanish — with all of us burning in hellfire very soon."
She frowned and stayed quiet. Nothing could stop her husband from flirting, not a place or any serious occasion.
"Gold Dragon," Solaris commented with a smile, "as expected, thoughtful at the right moment."
"I have to when I have such a fierce wife," Arlan replied with a smile.
Solaris turned to Drayvor and Grianor, this time serious and determined for what he had appeared here for. "It’s time to stop her and let her be at peace."
Drayvor and Grianor nodded. "We wait for instructions."
Solaris hummed and said, "We will need the three dragons, each one belonging to three different realms."
Three of them looked at Arlan, Drayce, and Draven.
The three Dragons from three different realms, It was the time to fulfil the very reason of their existence which meant to be executed at this moment.
