The Devil's Warrior Queen-Chapter 272: A New Home
Chapter 272: A New Home
Rama fluttered her lashes in confusion, the strange white witch seemed to be aware of her situation as he gave her a knowing look.
"Yes and I’ve explained everything to her, she just needs time to adjust." Aurora remarked.
Aurora averted her attention back to her as she said with an apologetic smile "Forgive me, this is my younger brother, Dalen."
Dalen beamed at her with a smile that barely reached his lips as he bowed his head, she was a bit taken aback by his behaviour but then she remembered she was once a queen, but a human queen.
"I don’t remember my name, but Lady Aurora said it’s Rama, so you can call me that." She stated out in a low voice as a streak of gloom painted her demeanor.
"Well, everyone knows you, so I knew your name was Rama." Dalen said light heartedly, he seemed to possess an almost nonchalant nature but if one was too laid back, they would fail to notice the knowledge he held within those serious yet tender eyes.
"Oh." She merely breathed out. She wondered just how renowned she had been for the supernatural realm to gain knowledge of a mere human queen.
"Lest I forget, an unexpected guest summons your presence." Dalen announced as he stood straight with squared shoulders.
"I’ll be leaving then. Dalen keep her company, will you?" Aurora said and he nodded stiffly.
Flashing Rama a faint smile, she retreated back into the castle while Rama’s eyes followed her till she disappeared from sight.
"How have you been feeling since you woke up?" She heard Dalen’s smooth voice rumble behind her, making her half turn around to face him.
His usual nonchalant facade was now replaced with a slightly serious one mixed with a hint of observation.
"Confused and scared." Her voice was slightly shaky as she said out those words.
"I don’t understand what you may be going through but if you need any sort of assistance, you can ask me or Aurora." He noted, his countenance entirely serious.
"What do you both want from me?" She blurted out with judging eyes.
"We have no intention to harm you, but with time, you’ll find out." He said, his eyes silently telling her to ask no more and she silently obeyed as she looked away.
For hours, she wandered around the castle grounds in silence, while he followed behind her in comforting silence, none breaking it.
"I’d like to retreat to my chambers now, thank you for the company." Rama said with a slight nod.
"I’ll escort you." He said and before she could react, he led her to her chambers and with silent exchange of nods, he disappeared from her sight, leaving her alone.
Emerging inside, she perched by the window in her chamber, her eyes fixated on the expansive scenery beyond, where rolling hills kissed the horizon and the sun painted the sky with hues of gold and amethyst.
Her countenance bore the traces of an unfathomable journey, a journey whose Chapters had been erased from her memory. Battle scars marred the skin of her mind, testament to the trials she had faced and the strife she had weathered. She had lost her precious memories of her life in a guttural battle, yet, the memories of those battles remained elusive, cloaked in the shadowy recesses of her mind. The clinks of armor, the clash of swords, the cries of comrades, all buried beneath a veil of forgetfulness.
With furrowed brows, she gazed at the world outside, seeking solace in the embrace of the unknown landscape. The gentle breeze that whispered through the open window carried the scent of dew-kissed grass and the distant promise of adventure. It teased her senses, sparking fragments of forgotten tales that danced tantalizingly at the edge of her consciousness.
A tapestry of emotions swirled within her, a symphony of confusion, longing, and an unquenchable thirst for answers.
She pondered the embroidered threads of her past, attempting to stitch together the fragments of her identity. Her fingers traced the contours of the pendant hanging around her neck, a shimmering ruby emblem, a cryptic talisman that offered no clues but held a tantalizing allure.
Retracing her steps back in the room, she opened the box where she had found the ruby bracelet that was similar to the necklace she was wearing. Taking it out, she stood by the window as she stroked the familiar item, in a bid to recall her lost past but it was hopeless.
In the castle corridors, whispers of her mysterious origin fluttered like clandestine butterflies as she heard the maids murmur and whisper whenever she passed them.
Some spoke of her as a valiant warrior, blessed by arcane forces yet cursed by the loss of memory. Others weaved tales of prophecy, conjecturing about her role in shaping the fate of the realm, but she couldn’t quite believe the flying rumours about her so she reasoned to query the Silver witch about the rumors the next day.
Despite the murky depths of her forgotten past, a resilience flickered in her gaze, an unyielding determination to reclaim what was stolen by the merciless hands of oblivion. She yearned to unlock the secrets buried within her mind, to piece together the puzzle of her existence and find her place in the intricate tapestry of the world.
Time seemed both a friend and a foe, a companion offering moments to contemplate, yet a merciless thief stealing the fragments of her recollections. Memories remained elusive, dancing on the periphery of her consciousness like elusive wisps of fog.
In the stillness of her chamber, she pondered her purpose in this enigmatic realm, a world teeming with magic, valor, and the unknown.
The distant call of adventure tugged at her spirit, promising revelations and discoveries awaiting her beyond the castle’s walls, she felt the urge to explore beyond the castle and hopefully find a way to recover her memories.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a final burst of fiery hues across the sky, she remained seated by the window, her solitary figure silhouetted against the fading light. Her gaze was not merely fixed on the landscape but rather on the boundless horizon of possibilities, yearning to reclaim what was lost and embark on a quest to unveil the truth hidden within the labyrinth of her forgotten memories.
She sighed as she softly whispered her name, as if to gain familiarity with it "Rama, my name is Rama."
Her name, once a cherished part of her identity, had been lost amid the chaos of a forgotten battle, leaving her adrift in a sea of uncertainty within the confines of this mysterious realm.
Rama, as the White Witch Queen had named her, found solace in the sanctuary of her room. Memories eluded her like elusive whispers, leaving a void in her heart that yearned to be filled. Her days were draped in a shroud of curiosity and silent contemplation, as she grappled with fragments of a life she couldn’t quite piece together.
Rama’s fingers traced the cold, etched patterns on the windowpane, her eyes following the undulating fields and mystical forests that stretched into the horizon.
The White Witch Queen, with her ethereal grace and unwavering kindness, had taken her under her wing and was being unnecessarily generous to her, a fallen human queen.
She had assured her it was her new home now, yet, the weight of her forgotten memories pressed upon her soul, creating an ache she couldn’t articulate. Questions echoed in her mind like haunting melodies, who was she before this amnesiac state? What battles had she fought, and what sorrows had she endured?
In the tranquil sanctuary of her room, surrounded by a looming darkness and flickering candlelight, Rama’s thoughts drifted towards her new life in the White Witch Kingdom. She was enveloped by a sense of safety and belonging, yet an unseen veil separated her from fully embracing this newfound haven.
Envisioning herself in gleaming armor lingered at the edge of her consciousness, tantalizing her with hints of an adventurous past.
The future, an unwritten scroll unfurling before her, filled her heart with both trepidation and hope. Would she uncover the hidden truths that lay dormant within her mind? Would the mysteries of her past unravel like the delicate threads of a tapestry, intertwined with a tale of bravery and resilience?
As dusk painted the sky in hues of amber and crimson, Rama’s thoughts wanderetowardds the unknown paths that lay ahead. She yearned to reclaim her lost memories, to trace the echoes of her past, and to carve her destiny amidst the enchanting landscapes of this medieval fantasy world.
In the tranquil moments by the window, as the stars adorned the heavens like shimmering jewels, Rama found solace in the silent whispers of the night. Each passing moment brought her closer to uncovering the veiled truths of her existence, igniting a flicker of determination within her heart.
Her mind was a labyrinth, a jigsaw puzzle missing crucial pieces, leaving her lost in a haze of uncertainty. Her fingers traced the intricate patterns etched into the window frame, a futile attempt to trigger elusive memories.
But amidst the amnesic fog, an inexplicable yearning resided within her. A yearning that transcended the confines of her memory loss, a longing etched deep within her heart for a companion she couldn’t recall. She sensed an invisible tether binding her to someone, a connection she struggled to define.
Visions she couldn’t grasp flickered like distant stars in her conscious eyes and a resonating laughter, but they slipped away before she could grasp them. It was as if her memories were veiled by an enigmatic fog, teasing her with tantalizing glimpses yet withholding the truth.
