The dragon's harem-Chapter 1222: Hopefully, No Titan Cockroaches.
Arad is a pricolici, as much an Undead as the next vampire. He should be able to pass through the life detection barrier, but Zephyr won't. That's why he had to swallow her into the safety of his stomach.
His goal was the keyhole. If it is as large as the one in his room, he should be able to slip through.
Soon, Arad reached the keyhole. Sadly, it wasn't big enough for him to fit through. He could try, but his shoulders won't fit. Sawllowing Zephyr was a bit of a wasted effort.
With his first plan failing, it was time for the second one. Arad immediately turned his attention to the window at the end of the hallway. It led outside, into the violent storm.
This time, he'll make sure his efforts won't be wasted. He looked through the keyhole and spotted the office's window. The window was clean without a single speck of magic on it. He should be able to enter from the outside with ease.
He climbed back down and ran to the window. In the meantime, Zephyr climbed out of his mouth and sat back on his head, a bit uncomfortable. "Should've waited until we checked the keyhole."
"True, next time I won't take things for granted. Not all locks in this castle need to be the same." He soon reached the window and climbed the wall with ease. His nails were just as sharp and durable as his draconic claws. He could easily use them to climb the stone walls.
The window was unprotected as he expected.
Arad smoothly opened it enough to slip out and held it in place. The violent winds would slam it open and shatter the glass. As Arad was outside the castle, he was outside the magic detection, so Zephyr immediately used her magic to protect him from the wind.
Arad closed the window behind him and flew to the office window. Now, the storm was helping him.
With how small Arad was. The violent storm and heavy rain masked him from the patrolling titans outside.
Arad looked toward the guards. "Take him out, I'll open it when you do."
Zephyr flicked her fingers, and a heavy load of rain flushed straight into the guard's nose and seeped into his lungs.
The guard fell to his knees, coughing violently. To breathe rain like this was a first for him. Another guard rushed to check on him almost immediately.
"What's going on?" He asked with a worried face, looking around for any attacker. But that was stupid. Who'll attack the Titan's castle in the middle of the capital and in the middle of a deadly storm?
"Deep breath almost killed me. Got more rain in my lungs than is outside." The guard laughed, standing back like nothing had happened. frёewebnoѵēl.com
By that time, Arad and Zephyr were already in the office.
The office looked mundane, like any other. But instead of papers or books, it was filled with massive scrolls made of thick monster leather. Arad jumped from the window, smoothly landing on the desk, almost a hundred meters away.
Arad couldn't use magic, but that didn't mean he didn't have access to the draconic might stored in his muscles. This might be nothing near what he could output in his draconic form, but it was still far superior to what mortals could dream of having.
He looked around and then faced the first threat in this stealth mission. A massive, four-meter-tall Hulking Cockroach.
"They've got cockroaches." Arad smiled.
The Hulking Cockroach was humanoid with bulky arms and a body covered in black chitin carapace. Its tiny mandible clicked, and its eyes looked at Arad with hunger. One grumple escaped its maw. "JOO!"
In the next moment, Arad dodged a lightning-fast punch from the Hulking Cockroach, slipped beneath a follow-up bite, and then dodged a kick with a flip.
Arad landed behind the monster and looked at it with a smile. "Look at you, do you really want to die?"
He didn't give the Hulking Cockroach a chance to reply and closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye. The Cockroach reached in time to barely dodge Arad's deadly punch, but he still got grazed. A deep scratch appeared on the monster's carapace, and it glared at Arad with rage burning in its eyes.
Arad jumped back and looked at the Hulking Cockroach with a smug smile, taunting him to attack again.
The Cockroach took the bait and lunged at Arad, swinging a lightning-fast right hook.
Arad swatted the punch aside and smacked the bug with an upper cut so hard that he sent him flying four meters in the air. He then immediately jumped and grabbed him mid-air, delivering several attacks. A hook to the jaw, a punch to the collarbone, a kick to the liver, and two slaps followed by a backhand fist to the eye. And then he spun around, sending the bug to the ground with a drop kick to the head.
And by the time the Hulking Cockroach reached the ground, Arad was already waiting for him there. Arad kicked him back and dashed past him, leaving Zephyr in his place. The two then ganged on the poor bug.
Arad swung punches from one side while Zephyr grabbed the Cockroach by the antenna and swung him around. Even with how tiny she was compared to him, her wings and body held a terrifying might. The one-foot spirit could comfortably fly away with the four-meter-tall Cockroach and toss him around like a toy.
When the Cockroach's carapace cracked, Arad punched it on the face hard enough to make it spin in place, then ripped his solar plexus with an elbow to the chest, and followed with several kicks and punched mid-air after the flying Cockroach.
The poor bug was sent flying straight to Zephyr, who grabbed it by the back and carried it. It was unbelievable to see the small Zephyr flying with the massive monster above her head.
Zephyr tossed the Cockroach to Arad and rushed forward, accelerating faster than ever before. In the blink of an eye, he had ripped all of the Cockroach's limbs and head, thrown them away, and plucked the brain that was hiding in its upper chest.
Before the Cockroach's torso could even touch the desk, Arad sent it flying alongside its limbs with a powerful kick. Soon, the Cockroach's corpse was resting in the corner of the room, violated to the core.
