It turned out that employing the Hidden Apricot was a double edge sword. They were extremely good at their job with a high success rate. But as they were good at their job, it was almost impossible to hide anything from them. The person who had given them the job of observing Flora, Mertha and Rein's group had tried to hide their identity but the experts of the Hidden Apricot had managed to easily find out who it was.

This was a good news for Rein as he managed to find that out quite easily from the man. Rein did not really need to interrogate O07 that much as he was quite honest and told Rein everything without any resistance.

After he was done telling everything to Rein, he asked his help for something. Rein was curious about this so he asked the man to continue. O07 explained that as they had failed in this mission, their employer would definitely try to wipe them out.

Even though the members of the Hidden Apricot were extremely good at espionage, their combat abilities were not that great. So if their employer wanted them gone, they would not be able to put up much resistance.

So the man was asking for Rein's help regarding this matter. He even promised that their organisation would be ready to work for him for free. Obviously O07 did not have the authority to move the whole organisation, no one actually had that authority. But still he promised that at least all his subordinates would be in Rein's beck and call if he could help them out a little bit.

Rein as a mage did not really need the Hidden Apricot as he was strong enough. But Rein as a noble had a lot of tasks for a group like this. Normally Rein would search many places with his eye of Truth to find good retainers if he was born as a noble. But in this world, he was way too obsessed with magic so he had not gotten the chance to do so.

For that reason, as a noble, Rein was really lacking good and capable subordinates. He had no complaints about his current subordinates. They were extremely loyal and gave their all for him. But none among them were exceptional or stood out in any way.

Not only that but almost all of them were good and sweet people who loved Rein from the bottom of their hearts. For that reason Rein was unwilling to ask them to do his dirty work or to give then dangerous missions. That was why the offer given by O07 was very appealing to him.

But just getting the help of O07's subordinate was not enough for him. He wanted their while organisation under him. With that in mind, Rein told O07 that.

But hearing it, O07 shook his head and told Rein that even if he agrees to be his subordinates, most of the other leaders would not agreed. Specially the founder had a very bad impression of nobles. So even though they took jobs for the nobles, the Hidden Apricot were unwilling to give their loyalty to any noble family.

Hearing this, Rein though for some time and asked O07 to arrange a meeting with the higher ups. O07 again reminded Rein that it would be almost impossible to convince the other leaders to join him. In answer, Rein just smirked and told O07 that he did not need to worry about that.

...

After taking care of the Hidden Apricot problem, Rein got the medicine and returned back to the inn. He told Lopas and Luna about what he had managed to find out and told them that they were going to stay in this city for a few more days. Rein was planning to finalize the deal with the Hidden Apricot before returning to the capital.

He also told the all the ladies including Mertha and Flora that the marquis family of Mortala were already targeting them. But fortunately as they had directly teleported here, they had not managed to do anything drastic.

Actually the Mortala family had already prepared an ambush for the ladies on their way. But with his teleportation, Rein had managed to completely avoid that. And even if they were ambushed, from what Rein knew, even though the Mortala family had a rank 5 mage, the second strongest person of the family was still just a rank 3 mage. So Rein was confident that even Luna alone would be enough to take care of them.

So he reassured Mertha and Flora that they would be alright and asked the to rest up. They were going to stay in this city for quite some time and in that duration Lopas was going to contact her family to send a secured carriage to take them back to the capital.

After seeing what happened with Mertha during the spatial travel, Rein decided that going using a regular vehicle would be better for her. That was why Rein asked Lopas to get a carriage for them.

...

After making a deal with Rein, O07 finally managed to contact her comrades with the magjc item. He explained the situation to them and asked them to hold a meeting with all the leaders. The leaders agreed to a meeting as it was a big deal.

They knew that Rein was a talented young man and a viscount but was not aware that he had already reached the fourth rank as a mage in such a young age. As the Hidden Apricot did not have many mages in their ranks, they had very few avenues to get direct news from the academy.

After learning that, it was not just viscount Rein but also the family of Duke Leonance and the royal family were involved in this, the leaders had no way to reject this. If they were targetted by the ducal or the royal family, then the results would be hundreds if not thousands of times worst than getting targeted by a low grade marquis family like the Montala family.

So how would the meeting go and would Rein be able to convince the other leaders to be his subordinates ? Only time would tell.
