Chapter 107: [107] Estelle

’Who could she be?’ Eliron thought as he stared at the woman.

From the way her ears tilted slightly downwards, it was clear that she was a wood elf.

But...

’I’ve never seen her before.’

From before he regained his memories of Earth, and even up till this day, Eliron could not remember ever seeing this woman once.

This was strange considering that he at least knew the faces of ninety percent of Artaris’ population.

The fact that she did not recognise him was also a cause for concern. After all, which native of Artaris would claim to not know the face of their lord?

The only thing oddly familiar about her were her pink eyes, but it was hardly enough to put a name to the face.

Eliron stared at the woman and frowned. "Who am I? I should be asking you that, you’re the one that waltzed in here like you owned the place."

"I will not ask you again..." she threatened, her staff pulsing with dark energy.

Eliron sighed.

’She looks like the stubborn type, and not only that...’ He could tell that she was a decent mage just from a glance.

"Have it your way. If you want a fight, then I’ll give you one."

Immediately the words left his lips, Eliron’s grip on his sword changed, his posture adjusted slightly, and his eyes sharpened.

Eliron had activated his most overworked skill. SSS-Ranked Swordsmanship Talent.

The woman noticed the change almost immediately.

’All he did was adjust his posture,’ she thought, her eyes locked on him.

’Yet, it is as though I am now in front of a renowned sword saint.’

’Who actually is this man?’

"Ahhh, Estelle, you’re back?!" Ash shouted from a distance, peeking from behind the wyvern.

"Estelle?" Eliron voiced.

"Sir Ash?"

Ash was smiling at her while waving his hands in the air. He had not noticed her at first because of the gigantic wyvern that blocked their view.

Due to the distance they were from them, it was hard to pick out what they were saying, so they assumed he was speaking with one of the cadets.

Eliron turned to face Ash as he jogged up to them, accompanied by Terra.

Terra bowed in greeting. "Good morning, Lady Estelle."

’Lady Estelle? So this woman is a noble?’ Eliron thought as he watched their engagement.

"Ah, Terra, you’re here too?" Estelle’s eyes darted between Eliron and the familiar faces, her confusion only deepening.

She still hadn’t lowered her staff.

"Ash, who the heck is that lady?" Eliron asked.

"Ohh, where are my manners? This is Estelle, Elder Zenith’s daughter," he said with a smile.

"..."

"The fuc—uhum—" Eliron restrained himself from cursing and cleared his throat.

"Zenith’s daughter?!" he blurted out, shocked by what he was hearing.

Yennefer’s eyes widened as she glanced at Estelle. "Master Zenith has a daughter??"

"Ohh, now I see it, her eyes are just like her mother’s." She beamed as she jogged up to Estelle.

Zenith was still confused when Yennefer grabbed her arm, inspecting her like she was a sculpture in a museum.

"Oh, even the hair and facial expressions... it is like I am looking at another version of Zenith."

Before Estelle knew it, Yen had dragged her to the group, and her staff was now resting by her side.

"You know my mother??"

Estelle knew her mother better than anyone. Zenith would never come out of that hut unless her life was basically on the line.

How then did these two strangers claim to know her? And why were they all comfortable standing next to a wyvern?

The wyvern stared down at her and smiled, tilting its head slightly.

Estelle felt like her head might burst if she kept trying to piece it together.

Her brows furrowed as she massaged her forehead.

She was just as confused as Eliron, both of them turning to the only one who seemed to know what was going on.

"Ash, explain!"

"Ash, explain."

They both said simultaneously, Eliron speaking first while Estelle was second.

Ash raised his hands in defence. "Like I said, this is Estelle, Zenith’s daughter."

He scratched his head, as though he was considering whether to say the next part or not.

"Well... you know how Zenith is, right?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"Yes, she’s like a hermit. That woman treats that hut like her shell," Eliron said bluntly.

"Ehe..." Ash chuckled nervously. "Well, like mother, like daughter..."

"..."

Estelle’s eyes slowly widened.

"Hey! I’m nothing like that old woman!"

Ash took a step back for his own safety, then smiled.

"Well, almost no one in the village knows you because of how much time you spent training in isolation..."

"In fact, you left the village the next morning after the attack, enraged by our defeat. You have been in isolation training since that time. That is why you don’t know what has been going on."

Eliron soaked in everything Ash was saying.

Now it made sense. The reason he did not know her was because of how reclusive she was.

If not that Zenith was compelled to appear during official events, most of the elves wouldn’t even know what she looked like.

But Estelle, on the other hand, was still confused.

"Yes, yes, I have been away for so long. But what could have happened in a month plus?"

Then she glanced at Eliron, the hostility still in her eyes.

"And most importantly, who the hell is this riffraff that was beating up our people?" she snarled.

Ash blinked.

"You mean you don’t recognize him?!" His eyes widened.

"Sure, he looks a lot different than he used to, but you should remember at least."

"Recognize him? If I had seen such a hooligan before, I am sure I would have kept his face in my memory, Sir Ash."

Ash paled. "H-hooligan?"

Meanwhile, Eliron just watched them, a look of mild annoyance on his face.

"Hear that?" Yen giggled. "You’re not just a riffraff, you’re a hooligan as well, hehehe."

"The elven lord being called a hooligan, never would have thought I would see this day. Eek!"

She yelped as Eliron grabbed her cheeks and pulled them.

"Elven Lord?" Estelle’s gaze darkened. "There should be only one elven lord, and it sure as hell isn’t you—"

She suddenly froze as she watched him.

Her gaze wandered from his azure blue eyes, to his long, dark blue hair, down to his unnervingly pretty face.

Then she gasped.

"E-Eliron?!"

Estelle had seen the young lord quite a number of times.

The gentle younger brother of the former elven lord. A calm, good-natured kid who would spend his days running through flower fields till he exhausted himself.

He was so thin and pretty that she even mistook him for a girl at some point.

That Eliron was the brash, handsome, well-built man standing before her??

"What the hell happened to you..." she muttered, her voice low.

Eliron sighed and tiredly ran his hand through his hair.

"I grew..."
