The Elven Evolution: Starting With 1 Million SSSR Skills-Chapter 138: [] Death Of A Star
In another part of the forest...
The peace of the calm forest had been distorted, the ground painted with blood, and the wind filled with the morbid sound of a litany of screams.
Scattered around the floor were the bodies of multiple mercenaries, each of them bearing viscous sword marks.
Ash was standing atop this field of blood, staring into the eyes of a mercenary he had just impaled.
His ashen hair was gleaming like the moon light was encased in it, slowly floating in the air, while his eyes shone like polished silver.
"T-they said y-you were not up to a knight!" The mercenary cursed, just as Ash pulled out his blade, blood gushing out of the wound.
"Are these really the type of people that tormented Artaris in the past?"’
For many years, Artaris could do little to defend itself against mercenary raids.
Although there were a number of notable warriors among them, the mercenaries far outnumbered them, and their leaders were just too powerful.
Ash had never dreamed of a day he would defeat a knight-grade warrior.
And yet, today, he had not just defeated a Knight, he had single handedly dismantled their entire party...
And it was all thanks to Eliron’s grueling training, and the Spirit Shard he had generously gifted him.
Although he took a little time because of their number, at the end of the day they were unable to do any significant damage.
Still, even though his fight was easy, it made Ash worry about Eliron’s situation.
’If they left all the canon fodder for me, that means their heavy hitters will be challenging Lord Eliron right now.’
Ash swiped his sword to the side, sending the blood flying off the blade, before he sheathed it.
’I need to find him!’
The problem was that after they had been separated by the teleportation spell, they were moved to a forest so large, that he had no idea where to start his search from.
If he walked in any direction haphazardly, then he could end up going even farther than Eliron.
While Ash was debating what to do in his mind, the earth suddenly began to shake underneath his feet. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
He turned in the direction of the quaking, only to see an immense surge of mana gleaming as it rose high up into the sky.
"My goodness..." Ash whispered, marvelled by the tremendous show of mana.
Whoever was fighting there was no doubt a seasoned veteran, and Ash was sure Eliron was involved in that fight.
’I’m coming my lord!’
<•••>
"SSSR Skill— Heaven Rending Slash!"
Unlike when Kyros used the skill, a bright crimson hue surged out of the sword, the calamitous energy reverberating in the air as Eliron brought down the blade.
Cain swung his weapon, a desperate attempt to defend himself. But it was all for nothing, the skill cleaved right through the weapon as well as him, completely eviscerating everything in its path.
The floor caved in and the forest shook, Cain’s body scattering to dust and ashes as the crimson aura slowly faded away from the weapon.
’That skill really packed a punch...’ Eliron thought, surprised by how much destruction it had caused.
He had not even used the full potential of the skill since there was no need, and yet, it was still this effective...
"YOU BASTARD!!!" Kyros screamed as he reached Eliron.
Clang!
Eliron raised his blade and organised his footwork as he received Kyros’ explosive swing.
A shockwave cut past them on impact, the leftover force causing Eliron’s bones to rattle.
Kyros unleashed a flurry of blows, each one aimed at decapacitating Eliron. The elven lord blocked a number of them, just before rolling underneath a slash.
The mana from the slash flew right above his head, slicing apart multiple trees before fizzling away.
Elrion blinked as he stole a quick glance at it. He had not used a skill, just raw mana, and yet it was that destructive.
"Do you know what you have done?!" Kyros screamed.
CLANG!
The weapons met, flashing in the darkness.
"Two centuries, I raised that boy!"
CLANG!
Eliron was focusing on defecting his blows, while using mana breathing to restore his mana.
"And you took him away from me, just like that!"
Boom!
Kyros shoved his feet into the young lord’s guard, causing Eliron’s feet to skid on the floor as he was pushed back.
Then without giving Eliron room to breathe, he spun his glaive at breathtaking speeds, just before leaping into the air and slashing with all his might.
Eliron maintained his calm composure, just managing to raise his sword up in time, blocking his neck from strike.
But the moment the glaive met the weathered sword—
Crack!
Time seemed to slow.
Eliron watched, his eyes wide as a net of cracks formed on the blade, racing from one edge to the other...
And then it split in half.
"Fuck!"
The glaive came charging at his neck, and at the same time, Eliron swung his body left, his body’s inverting as he tried to dodge the slash.
Swish!
The glaive cleaved right into his skin, drawing blood. At the same time, the broken part of the sword was rotating just above him...
And so Eliron drove his foot into it, sending it right towards Kyros’ skull.
To prevent himself from getting impaled in the head, Kyros had to withdraw his glaive and twist his head to the side as the blade whispered past.
Eliron was bleeding heavily, holding his injured neck. The glaive had cut him, but thankfully it was a few seconds off from his carotid artery.
He had almost died, all because of his useless sword.
Meanwhile, blood drifted down Kyros’ cheek from where the sword tip had cut him.
"Is that your final trick?" Kyros asked, his voice murderous. "If only you had landed it... then you wouldn’t have to face the hell that awaits you now."
Kyros slashed his blade to the side.
"Now, it is time to atone for your sins."
Eliron tossed the broken sword to the side and held his stick. "Who said I missed?
Kyros’ eyes suddenly widened when the realization hit him. "Don’t tell me..."
Up above them, the demonic Eye had a sword sticking right through it, black blood dropping down to the floor.
The demonic eye suddenly erupted, unleashing a wave of sinister energy as it was considered by black fire.
Eliron’s gaze darkened as he stared at Kyros.
"You mourn the death of your son, you hate me for it and wish death upon me?"
"How laughable."
"But what about the countless wood elves you have slayed over the centuries, do their lives have no meaning to you?"
"How dare you compare the life of my son, a noble high elf, to that of a creature less than a goblin? Damn you!"
Kyros dashed towards Eliron, his glaive slicing through the air.
But just as he got close, he was stopped by the stick that was now suddenly placed against his nose.
Tzzzzz!
Lightning coursed through his body, paralysing him in place.
Eliron smiled.
From all the skills he had been memorising since the start of their trip, he already had the perfect one in mind.
Golden magic circles suddenly surrounded Kyros on all sides, forming the outline of a magic cube.
Ancient texts were swirling around the circle, the text interlaced with primal runes.
Kyros’ eyes widened. "T-this spell... impossible! You can’t possibly be capable of using it!!"
For the first time since their match had begun, Kyros felt true fear.
It was a skill that he knew all too well, a sinister spell that left nothing of those affected behind.
An erasure spell that ensured that even the most minute trace of existence was gone. No bones, no flesh, not even ashes would remain...
One of the SSSR spells of the elven queen!
Eliron smirked. "Scum like you doesn’t have the right to be alive."
"Disintegration."
