The Elven Evolution: Starting With 1 Million SSSR Skills-Chapter 77: [] Success
For the next few days, Zenith drilled the concepts of runes into both Eliron and Yennefer.
While he worked on building the house from mornings to late in the afternoons, Zenith would take over and teach them after.
Her classes were never long, a maximum of one hour, the shortest class only lasting ten minutes.
But she was good. In two days, Eliron was able to draw his first simple rune with conditional statements, and by the fifth day, he was already able to attempt more complex patterns.
Eliron needed runes for one simple purpose...
Since he had already placed the tank above the house, he needed a rune that would drive water up the pipe and into the storage unit.
After five days of lectures and multiple failed attempts, Eliron created exactly what he needed.
Maybe it was because of his earlier understanding of programming languages that he was learning quickly.
But Zenith, who never complimented anyone, commented on how fast he was advancing.
According to her, it should have normally taken a month to even start writing runes, and two months to get conditional statements right.
Yen was not doing bad as well. She was learning how to use her healing magic better with runes and was already seeing results.
Currently, Eliron was standing in front of the house, which was just a day’s work away from completion.
There was a large water reservoir on the floor that they had filled up to the brim, and a ceramic pipe that went all the way to the tank above.
While Terra and Yen were hard at work, only Ash was next to him as he walked towards a rune block by the side of the reservoir.
"This is the moment of truth, Ash." Eliron said, his voice serious.
Ash nodded, his eyes locked on the block.
Although he had tested the rune when he made it, it was on a small amount of water that was nothing compared to what they had in front of them.
If the rune failed, then he would most likely have to spend another day reworking it.
Eliron shifted a switch on the rune block, and then the archaic etchings began to give off a soft glow.
They both waited patiently, and then...
Whoosh!
When the sound of water rushing through the pipe reached their ears, they both jumped up in celebration.
"Finally, we did it!"
"Congratulations, my lord!"
At last, Eliron managed to make the perfect rune... on his twenty-fifth attempt.

Two days later...
"Dan da daaaa!" Eliron sang, a wide grin on his face as he stared at the building.
Right in front of him were the fruits of his labour.
If he counted the time he spent chopping wood, sawing them, and then the actual construction process... this was several weeks of work.
A modern home in the shabby elven village!

Eliron smirked. ’Thank you very much!’
"You built this in a little over a week?" Artie asked, doing little to mask her amazement.
It was evening by the time he finished, and Yennefer, Artie, Ash, and Terra were standing in front of the building, getting ready to inspect it.
Apart from Artie, the rest of them looked half-dead. There were dark circles around their eyes, and they smelled of sweat. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Uhum," Eliron cleared his throat. "Thanks to the extra help, I was able to complete it this early."
"Well, let’s not waste any time..."
The moment they stepped into the house, they were more than wowed.
The floors were shimmering, the wood carefully polished to the point they could see their reflections in them.
There was a large chandelier with crystal lights, giving off a soft shine that bathed the room, a gift from Zenith.
Wooden ornaments, including a small carving of an angel, decorated the living room, placed atop tables.
There was a lofty couch by the side, made out of monster fur and wood.
Everything, from the structure to the way the furniture was situated, seemed foreign to the elves, other than Yen and Eliron.
They moved to the room where there was a strange-looking structure by the wall.
The moment Yennefer saw it, tears welled up in her eyes as she caressed the object.
"F-finally!" She sobbed. "I can enjoy my naps!"
Eliron smiled proudly. But it seemed only Yen knew what it was, because shortly after came the questions.
"What is that?" Terra asked as she walked up to it and tapped it like it was a rabid animal she was afraid would bite her. "It’s soft..."
"That is a bed," Eliron said.
"A bed?" Ash asked, confused.
Although they had beds in Artaris, it was simply straw gathered on the floor and covered in cloth... definitely far different from what he was seeing.
Eliron smirked. "Jump on it."
Ash hesitated at first, but following Eliron’s instruction, he jumped face-first atop the bed, only to gasp loudly.
"What s-sorcery is this?!"
"What, what is the problem?" Terra asked, looking a little concerned.
Ash had all but sunk into the mattress, a goofy grin on his face as he turned to face them.
Terra walked up to the bed, trying to figure out what had happened, when Eliron pushed her atop it.
"N-no—!" She yelped, hands flailing in the air, just before she landed on the soft fabric.
"My God, what is this?" She exclaimed, her eyes closed as she enjoyed the pleasant softness.
It felt as though she was dropped on a layer of clouds, and the fur blankets were incredibly soft and warm.
Terra was tempted to drift into sleep right then and there.
Artie walked up to the bed and tapped it.
’The structure is simple, but the combination of simple knowledge was able to create something this pleasant?’ She mused.
Throughout the week, she had been training to get a better feel for her lightning attribute...
Still, there were times she stopped by to check on them, so she knew Eliron was working on a lot of things.
Yet, she never expected to see something this grand.
’Where did Eliron learn to build something like this?’
It was another mystery about him she was yet to unravel. A small smile found its way to her lips as she turned around, admiring the room.
Meanwhile, Eliron chuckled darkly.
’What you are experiencing is the joys of modern comfort!’ He thought while watching Terra and Ash.
Using the feathers they had gotten from the monster, fur, and straw, Eliron had been able to make something a little similar to the mattresses they had back on Earth.
But if that was enough to wow them, then they were in for a big surprise.
"Come, let’s check out the toilet..."
"The toilet?" Terra and Ash echoed.
