Leon closed his eyes and exhaled before opening them. "Okay, let’s do this."

Both Arin and Tessa nodded their heads.

The plan was simple. In the forest, the three of them had agreed that they would meet on the rooftop of the male dorm building. Of course, that would be if Leon successfully ordered the Nightmare Shadow.

Though, Tessa knew that if Leon successfully ordered the Nightmare Shadow and Ken came out and released his dark Energy, Alex would quickly sense it and come out, so she decided to come out and hide behind a building that was close to the male dorm building. That way, she would be able to quickly reach the male dorm building before Alex would come out.

Just in case, she activated one of her Sound Element Spells and used it to mask the sound of her footsteps.

They had also agreed that it was only when Alex was focused on Ken that they would attack, and that seemed to be the case right now.

Alex was standing not too far from the female building, and Ken, which was the Nightmare Shadow, wasn’t hiding too far from him.

With the three of them on the rooftop, it was finally time to attack.

They planned that they would catch him off guard, but how exactly would they do that?

Arin glanced at Leon. "Do your thing....."

Leon nodded his head, and without wasting time, he stretched his right hand towards Alex’s current location.

After that, he placed his left hand on the ground of the rooftop, and a black portal suddenly appeared, similar to the one Arin entered to get to the Shadow Realm.

This was one of Leon’s skills he had just newly learned. He was slowly unlocking the powers of the Shadow Lord, so Arin wasn’t too surprised when Leon told him about the skill.

Leon glanced at Tessa and Arin before nodding.

Suddenly, two swords appeared in Arin’s hands. The first one was the one with a brown hilt, the one he bought with his points. He was holding this one with his left hand.

And in his right hand, he was holding a sword with a black hilt that seemed to be made of some sort of scales. The sword was slightly bigger than the one he was holding in his left hand, but he easily carried it.

This was the sword he got from Valtor, which was also a special reward as Valtor’s dark Energy was permanently imbued in it.

Leon’s eyes widened slightly as soon as he saw the sword. "T.... That sword."

"Yes," Arin said. "It’s from the Shadow Realm."

"I see...." Leon muttered, now understanding why he felt familiar with it.

Tessa’s sword was sheathed at her waist, so she quickly unsheathed it and gripped it tightly.

Leon, on the other hand, decided to bring an axe with him. He mentioned that he preferred axes over swords.

"Let’s go now, we don’t want him to leave that spot," Arin said as his eyes scanned Alex.

With that, the three of them gripped their weapons, and without wasting time, they jumped into the portal, and it disappeared.

In that same instant, a similar portal suddenly formed a good distance above Alex, and from it, three individuals came out.

Alex’s eyes instantly darted upwards, sensing the disturbance.

"Huh?"

His eyes instantly widened as he saw the portal above him and the figures coming out from it.

"Chaos?!"

Nobody needed to tell him what to do. His ring glowed slightly, and a sword instantly appeared in his right hand.

For a moment, he forgot about the source of that strange Energy he was looking for.

Arin, Leon, and Tessa were mid-air, coming down towards Alex.

’Hmm, he formed the portal too high above Alex,’ Arin thought. ’But what has happened has happened..... No need to dwell on it.’

Alex’s slightly shocked expression instantly changed. He grinned as his eyes followed Arin.

"That mask..... That cloak..... I recognize you!" Alex exclaimed as his eyes glowed with a golden light.

"CHAOS!"

It was almost as if Alex forgot that he was in the Academy as he screamed.

At this point, all the students in the Academy had woken up, and some were looking through their windows while some decided to come out of their rooms to see what was going on.

Arin, Leon, and Tessa were still yet to land, and Alex didn’t miss that opportunity.

Without wasting time, he swung his sword, which was glowing red, with full force, sending a slash made of fire towards Arin.

Arin grinned without even moving to defend himself. But suddenly...

BOOM!

The fire slash was instantly destroyed as a girl appeared in front of Arin, also descending like them.

She had long black hair and red eyes with a cheeky grin on her face, though it wasn’t visible because she was also wearing a mask and a cloak.

But of course, Alex instantly recognized her.

"You! You Vampire!"

Seraphine’s grin widened as she spoke, "Did you miss me, darling? It’s time for some revenge!"

Well, Seraphine’s appearance certainly caused an outburst because.....

"A V..... Va..... Vampire?"

"Wait..... What’s that Energy coming out of that lady.....?"

"What? Wh.... What is a Vampire doing in the Academy?!’

"A Vampire!"

Seraphine’s Blood Energy was released, so the students instantly knew that the lady they were seeing descending with some other figures was a Vampire.

For those who didn’t quickly detect the Energy, Alex’s scream made them aware that a Vampire was present.

And the result?

Arin grinned as he gripped his swords.

UTTER CHAOS!

"EVERYONE! THERE’S A VAMPIRE IN THE ACADEMY! ENTER YOUR ROOMS AND LOCK YOUR DOORS!" a boy exclaimed.

"What? We should all attack it and kill it. What do you think all our training has been for?"

"Shut up! Can’t you see that Alex is there? He’ll take care of it!"

"Are you serious? You are so afraid that you’re depending on Alex? I didn’t know you were such a dick!"

"What did you call me?!"

Like that, chaos ensued among the students. The male students in the male dorm building were arguing intensely, and the female students in their dorm building were also arguing.

Though, most of the female students had already run into their rooms and locked their doors. Only a few were still outside their building, struggling to decide.

"Where the hell even is Brad?!" a girl exclaimed as she finally made up her mind and ran into the building.

"Ugh! That good-for-nothing security man!"

Meanwhile, Alex’s fury increased.

"I can see that you came with one more companion," he said as he raised his sword again.

Arin knew that he was referring to Leon.

Arin’s eyes flashed with a red glow. "I think you mean two more companions."

"Huh?"

A bracelet suddenly fell from Arin’s hand, descending faster than them. It quickly descended and had almost touched the ground, but then...

WHOOSH!

It suddenly let out a bright glow, and the next thing Alex saw was the tip of a spear.

His eyes widened for a second, but he quickly raised his sword.

CLANG!

Sparks flew as his sword clashed against the spear.

Instantly, he leaped back, squinting his eyes.

The glow diminished, revealing the new arrival.

A frown appeared on Alex’s face as he scanned the girl in front of him.

She had long red hair tied in a ponytail, with strands falling over her forehead. Her calm red eyes were visible through the black mask she was wearing, and her black cloak fluttered.

But apart from that, there was one more thing.....

"Another Vampire..." Alex muttered.

He could sense the Blood Energy radiating from her.

This girl was actually Roxanne, who had accepted Arin’s request to join him.

Immediately, Arin told her about the plan. She agreed and even said it was her way of thanking him for the wonderful experience he gave her, which was the ceremony.

That night, Arin also found out that she was capable of changing her hair color with her Blood Energy. She mentioned that it could only be done by the Royal family, the Progenitors, and the students of the Progenitors, which meant that he would eventually be able to do it.

As for Seraphine, even after using her time limit in the morning, she was still able to appear in her physical form now. That was because she had managed to increase her Blood Energy and control it better through her practice every morning, and she was even close to entering the Noble Vampire Rank.

Due to these improvements, she was now able to maintain her physical form for up to an hour and a half, no longer half an hour.

So, she could definitely aid Arin in this battle.

WHOOSH!

Leon, Tessa, and Seraphine instantly landed behind Roxanne, while Arin landed in front of Roxanne.

Alex glanced at Arin and Roxanne. ’That girl..... She’s strong....’

Roxanne was able to use the Special Ability of all the Progenitors except Arin. And even though she could only use those Abilities to a certain extent, they were still powerful. So, in a nutshell, she was formidable.

Arin’s cloak fluttered, with his team behind him, as he stared at Alex.

They both stared at each other for some seconds before Arin smiled.

"Nice to meet you again, Alex Whiteheart!"
