The F-Class Healer Omega is a Villain [BL]-Chapter 53: What’s keeping you at bay?
Chapter 53: What’s keeping you at bay?
Abandoning the body without a second thought, Yoon Seoyul let it drop. The lifeless form slipped from his grasp, tumbling unceremoniously down the ballroom’s entrance stairs—limbs twisting awkwardly until it vanished from sight, fully gone. Without pause, he turned and approached him as Cheon Areum stood on his knees on the piano.
"Are you hurt?"
"No. You?"
Cheon Areum replied, his voice quieter than usual as he wiped the splatter of blood trailing down his cheek with the back of his hand. Yoon Seoyul said nothing. He slid his arms under Cheon Areum’s and lifted him gently off the piano. Carefully, he set him down onto the cracked marble.

"So where do you think is the exit?"
Inho asked as they stood before the down-to-earth ballroom. The exit gate should have appeared since the boss and all his minions were resting in peace, but it wasn’t anywhere near the ballroom.
"The fire is spreading really fast... how did that even happen?"
Cheon Areum questioned, standing beside Yoon Seoyul, who immediately denied it.
"It wasn’t me. Hwan was experimenting with the food."
Hwan, standing behind Inho, gave a vague explanation but it explained everything that needed to be said.
"In my defense, I was trying to save you guys from it."
"Food monster?" Cheon Areum mumbled out.
"Let’s divide into two and search for the gate," Yoon Seoyul instructed.
"And what about her?"
Inho glanced toward Aera, who sat lazily on the final steps of the ballroom entrance, busy cleaning the blood from her twin blades. She didn’t even bother to join the conversation.
"Aera, keep an eye out for the exit."
"You didn’t see the exit when we entered the estate? It’s in the—in the garden. Our carriages passed by it."

"...Thank you for telling us at last."

The black gate shrank as the last person, Aera, exited the gate and they went their ways.
"Another gate? Should I come with you? An extra member wouldn’t hurt, right? We can split the payment in half."
Cheon Areum spoke as he walked with Yoon Seoyul to the car parked outside the graveyard.
"No. Go home."
"Don’t be so stingy with the money. You earn so much more than me."
"Not today. Another time."
Giving him a cold shoulder, Yoon Seoyul drove off by himself, not even offering to drop him back.
"Not even a goodbye kiss."
"You can do so much better than him. I didn’t know he would be such a bad partner. Come here, I’ll give you a goodbye kiss."
Aera grabbed his head and kissed the top of his head. Cheon Areum’s head wobbled with the forceful kiss as he glared at her.
"You want a ride? I have another helmet."

Cheon Areum decided to pick up Rian early since he was free for the rest of the day. Rian complained why he had come so early, so to make up for it, he had to play with him all day long.
"Is the lip gloss necessary?"
"Yes. Ah! Don’t speak!"
Cheon Areum closed his mouth as he stayed still for Rian, who meticulously applied the lip gloss on his thin lips. Rian had spent a whole hour fussing over his hair, eyes glued to a tutorial playing on his phone. He followed each step with intense focus, occasionally pausing the video to adjust a section more precisely. By the end of it, his hair was styled into two short pigtails perched neatly on either side of his head, while the rest of his hair was left down, cascading naturally. He had beamed at his reflection, clearly proud of the final result.
"You can speak now."
Rian snapped the cap shut on the lip gloss—the same kind he had bought in bulk for the omegas at his daycare, proudly treating it like some kind of essential gift bag item. Cheon Areum blinked down at him, then lightly touched his lips. They felt tacky and glossy under his fingers, the faint scent of strawberries wafting up was the only thing he liked about it.
"Did you ask your friends when they’re planning to start elementary school?"
Rian nodded, putting the lip gloss and hair ties away.
"Next month. And I want to attend the same one." freewēbnoveℓ.com
"Only a month left then..."
Would he be able to move places by then? With Yoon Seoyul getting all distant all of a sudden, he hadn’t had a chance to bring up moving into his house. But no matter how much he thought about it, it was a bit excessive to stay in his house...
"Oh."
He belatedly remembered the report he had yet to write and submit. Yoon Seoyul didn’t remind him of it, so he completely forgot about it, and he didn’t want to pile up the reports in case he forgot the details later on.
"Rian, I have to go and submit a report. It won’t take too long. Will you stay at home?"
"Okay. Don’t stay out too late."
"Message me if you need anything, and don’t open the door for anyone."
Cheon Areum grabbed his black hoodie from the couch and a black mask. He had to go out fully covered now since he didn’t want to be recognized on the streets. Even the kids at daycare had started recognizing him.
He passed by the still-busted wall the landlord had yet to notice somehow, as he called Yoon Seoyul. The call connected, but Yoon Seoyul never picked it up, and he arrived at the guild building not knowing if he was still in his office. Worse, he could just leave the report on his desk if he wasn’t in his office.
Cheon Areum looked into the face scanner for security purposes, removing his mask. Once registered, he walked to the elevators, where Aera was lurking with a bewildered expression on her face. He wanted to avoid running into her, but she caught him before he could.
"Areum, you came at the perfect time. I need to talk to you."
