The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 2381
The kasaya ridden by the Dharma group is a formidable magical treasure, while the goshawk tamed by the Fiction sect is a high-level demonic beast. Carson Flores has seen quite a few of both; wasn’t there a time when he had a Golden-Winged Great Roc?
The Dragon Mountain Sect’s origami boat, although it appears not so sturdy, is favored for its simplicity.
The talisman art of the Dragon Mountain Sect is indeed impressive—folding paper into a boat and inscribing a few runes can turn it into a highly formidable Flying Boat.
Each faction among the Three Sects had roughly a hundred members—though they weren’t many in number, those who came this time were obviously the elite, the best of the best.
The Sect Master of the Moon God Sect, Hadrian James, personally greeted them. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the members of the Three Sects did not enter the Moon God Sect but rather prepared to head into the wilderness to establish a camp for the sect battle in a day.
Carson Flores was standing not far from the mountain gate, watching from a distance when suddenly, Flowing Cloud’s voice echoed in his mind.
"Fellow Flores, follow along."
Carson felt a surge of joy, beckoning the other three women to join him, and the four of them trailed behind the members of the Three Sects to the wilderness.
About a thousand miles from Moon City, the people of the Three Sects descended and began setting up a temporary camp.
Carson led the three women and flew to the camp, where they were met by the disciples who were guarding it. Carson was about to explain, but the disciples of the Dragon Mountain Sect gave him a complex look and stepped aside.
"Fellow Flores, please come in!"
Carson was slightly taken aback: "Fellow, do you know me?"
The Dragon Mountain Sect disciple smiled, "Ancestor Flowing Cloud has informed us... Thank you for your assistance at sea, Fellow."
Carson suddenly realized and modestly exchanged a few words before walking inside.
From the outside, the entire camp looked uniform, but internally it was divided into three areas, each occupied by one of the Three Sects, with the Dragon Mountain Sect on the far left.
After taking a few steps, Carson suddenly halted, a look of surprise and joy in his eyes.
A Taoist clothed in a blue robe, with a wooden hairpin, stood with hands behind his back, smiling at Carson.
It wasn’t the expected Flowing Cloud, but Floating Cloud, with whom he was once acquainted!
The foremost fighter of the Dragon Mountain Sect!
He had come personally!
Carson bowed and said, "Senior, long time no see!"
Floating Cloud stroked his somewhat disheveled beard and smiled, "Indeed, it’s been over ten years now."
Carson laughed, "Yes, for ten years, I settled with my family on an unknown little island to cultivate, and this is the first time leaving the island."
Floating Cloud chuckled, "Are you here to cheer us on?"
Carson replied with a smile, "With experts from the Three Sects everywhere, what need do they have for an unknown person like me to cheer them on? I’ve come to watch this grand event and see if I can gain any insights from the battles of the mighty."
Floating Cloud smiled, "The last time I saw you, you said you were going to meet up with your family. How are they?"
Carson answered, "Everything’s well, everyone has reached the Great Land, passing a significant threshold."
Floating Cloud squinted at Carson, "What realm are you in now?"
Carson truthfully replied, "Illusion-Breaking Realm."
Floating Cloud laughed heartily, "When I last saw you, you hadn’t even reached Peak Heavenly Immortal. In just over ten years, you’ve not only broken through the Great Land but even advanced a level. Your cultivation speed is remarkably fast."
Carson modestly replied, "My talent is limited, and my cultivation relies entirely on Moxian Crystal and various elixirs for enhancement. The breakthrough was due to the fortunate acquisition of the Void Lotus Herb, I can only say my luck was good."
Floating Cloud laughed heartily, "Luck is part of strength too, looks like my judgment wasn’t wrong."
After a pause, Floating Cloud sighed in a rueful tone, "I wanted to take you as a disciple, but you were unwilling and refused. Yet, by coincidence, you saved the Three Sects Disciple, which, regardless of the others, leaves the Dragon Mountain Sect owing you a significant favor."
Carson chuckled, "Meeting them was fate, and having the capability, I couldn’t stand by and do nothing."
Floating Cloud laughed, "Yes, it’s all fate. I previously said you had a connection with our Dragon Mountain Sect. Before, you hadn’t reunited with your family, but now everything is settled, with no more distractions. Have you considered changing your mind and joining our Dragon Mountain Sect?"
Carson was about to instinctively find an excuse to refuse, but Floating Cloud laughed, "If you worry that joining the Dragon Mountain Sect will bind you with many rules, there’s no need to worry. As you might know, I mostly roam about and only engage in significant events like the current sect battle."
"Strictly speaking, I wasn’t aware of the prior mission until something happened midway, and the sect contacted me to oversee and ensure this time there wouldn’t be any issues."
"Additionally, if you have doubts about my abilities or character, you can initially be a nominal disciple, and once you feel you have a full understanding, you can formally become a disciple. Being my disciple, the Sect Leader will be your senior brother, which I trust won’t subject you to any restrictive rules..."
