The game has become a real alternate world-Chapter 822 - 504: World Stasis
"Creak, creak, creak."
The sound of twisting and colliding bones.
The dark, somber land was being lifted, and a dirt-stained white skeletal arm reached out from beneath the earth.
The arm firmly grasped the soil as if exerting force to push up, and more bones emerged.
A skeleton slowly crawled out from the earth, holding a decayed sword blade in its hand.
A tiny magic bullet, roughly the size of a fingertip, swiftly traversed the air, trailing a long tail of light, striking the skull of the skeleton.
The skull exploded, and the remaining bones scattered into a heap as if losing their guiding power.
Abis blew at the smoke rising from her fingertip.
Karen asked curiously, "Why are we only encountering these... these powerless bones?"
They had ventured deep into this region for quite some time, yet what they encountered was incredibly fragile.
Most of them were only level one and moved sluggishly; aside from being frightening, their combat ability was less than that of an ordinary farmer.
Only a few occasionally reached level two, but they still staggered and appeared powerless in combat.
"This place might have been a battlefield or the site of a civilization once.
The skeletons rising here are merely affected by the magic power in this area; they weren't intentionally created, so their natural power is weak."
Kana explained briefly, still looking around observing.
"You're always using identification, right?" Raelia asked.
Among Night Watchers, mutual identification could reveal whether another was using identification, as a faint glow could be seen in the eyes of those employing it under the view of identification.
"Yes."
"After all this time, what are you observing?"
Abis asked curiously.
She had also used identification previously, but even after watching for a long time, she hadn't gleaned much beyond the initial observations.
"I'm pondering what kind of power could disperse such a disaster-ridden land in less than a decade."
Kana spoke with a tone of puzzlement.
Considering Kana's words, along with his role as a prophet, the group quickly understood.
"You mean, according to your foresight, this region will return to normal in less than ten years?"
Even Raelia could follow his train of thought.
Kana nodded, that was precisely his implication.
In the game, the timing of arriving here was approximately around ten years.
But in-game, the area was no longer a land of death. Though not vibrant, it wasn't as it currently appeared.
So the question arises, what kind of power caused this situation?
While Kana posed the question, he didn't expect an answer.
It's worth noting that the region influenced by the Blood Race, the former Blood Race Empire, still wasn't purged of its influence.
Contrarily, it had been transformed into a special planting area by a farmer among the Night Watchers.
Used for cultivating special rare medicinal herbs, the alchemists among the Night Watchers greatly praised this endeavor.
Though it somewhat sounded a bit evil, the Night Watchers currently used life potions extensively, with most of the main ingredients sourced from this Land of Blood.
Meanwhile, the thoughtful expressions faced by the group.
Raelia irritably scratched her head.
"Whatever, we'll figure it out by going in, we have to be here anyhow."
"You're right."
They hadn't walked far.
"Woohoo! Amber is back."
Accompanied by the sound of hooves.
A skeletal warhorse emerged from the air, perfectly matching the surrounding environment.
On its back was the lively Little Fairy Amber, along with Naya, an anomaly even among the Little Fairies with her lazy demeanor.
"Whew." Naya exhaled, giving the impression of a lazy and tired old person.
Her fluttering wings wobbled as she flew to settle atop Kana's head, lying still.
Kana was accustomed to this and merely tapped her slightly with his finger, adjusting her position to prevent her from falling.
Despite her laziness, if other Little Fairies or friends invited her to play, she wouldn't refuse.
"What's going on here? This place is truly uncomfortable." Amber looked around at the surroundings, expressing discontent.
Raelia glanced at her, "I thought you liked every place."
The spirit bone warhorse also appeared uneasy, circling the group, occasionally scraping the ground with its bony hooves.
"What's wrong with it?" Raelia asked curiously, using her beast taming skills to check, only sensing the warhorse's agitation.
After all, they hadn't been together for long and didn't fully understand it.
"Didn't I tell you, the spirit bone warhorse is also a descendant of the Child of the World. Although not burdened with maintaining world order like its forefathers.
Yet its bloodline is connected with the same sense of responsibility, this area shouldn't exist.
Not to mention maintaining the proper functioning of souls was its forefather's main duty."
Raelia was about to say something when an alarm resounded from above; it was Grey Fang, forever vigilant in the sky.
Almost instantaneously, Raelia and others readied for combat, Abis waved her hand, placing a magic shield over everyone.
Watching this, Kana couldn't help but admire; after acting as a team for so long, they had indeed reached a state of perfect synergy.
While maintaining battle readiness, Raelia checked her channel.
"This way."
Pointing in a direction.
Annabelle had disappeared, heading that way to investigate.
In only a few seconds, she returned, emerging from a shadow.
"A group of skeletons, levels ranging from five to six, thirteen in number, varied in size, not all humanoid bones."
They soon saw the enemies.
It was evident they were advancing toward them, some resembling animal skeletons, others humanoid forms.
These skeletons wore armor seemingly assembled from bones.
They charged toward them, the sound of colliding bones echoing.
The soul fire flickered in their eye sockets.
As they drew closer, it seemed to bring a sound to the ears of the group, emanating from the soul fire's scattered spirit.
"By the master's command, all life should be with us."
The wave of spirit sent forth was this recurring message.
Stationed at the forefront, Karen had transformed into a white bear, ready to charge at the bones to teach them a lesson.
Yet, just as one wave subsided, another arose.
A peculiar explosion was heard.
The world suddenly fell silent, as if time had frozen over the entire world.
Kana's brow furrowed slightly.
Raelia let out a sound of surprise.
"I've felt this before!"
As the words fell, the frozen world instantly contracted and vanished.
The area, once filled with the Power of the Undead, completely disappeared, leaving behind barren land without any trace of its former state.
