The game has become a real alternate world-Chapter 909 - 591: Shipwreck
Lebia Continent.
A deserted beach.
A damaged ship appeared particularly abrupt, seemingly having been washed ashore by waves not long ago.
"Cough cough, how unlucky." A crude man with a beard and a bare chest, clung to a plank while emerging from the break in the ship.
His clothes were tattered, with small cuts everywhere that had turned white after being soaked in seawater.
"Is there anyone? Is anyone still alive?" He shouted loudly, his voice carrying over.
"Zahanu, you bastard, what are you yelling for?" A slightly hoarse and rugged male voice sounded from the shade of a nearby large tree.
Zahanu looked towards the voice, seeing an old man with white hair and tattered clothes lying under the tree, seemingly just resting, with a fire burning beside him.
"So it's you, old man. Even such a huge shipwreck couldn't drown you; you're truly a curse." Zahanu cursed while staggering towards the tree.
"If a bastard like you can survive, there's no way I'd die easily at sea." The old man bared a mouth full of yellow Lantai, chuckling in response.
Zahanu seated himself beside the fire without hesitation, using its warmth to dry himself. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
He unabashedly asked, "Old man, got any water?"
The old man merely shook the shriveled water bag beside him.
"Damn, let me catch my breath." Zahanu muttered to himself.
"Cough cough, ugh!" Another voice resounded from the broken ship, startlingly clear on the quiet beach.
"Seems we're not the only lucky ones; quite a few of us survived, hahaha!" The old man laughed, his voice sandpapery.
A young man appeared on the ship's overturned deck, then rolled off it.
"Ha, dear Lord, hope he hasn't killed himself with the fall." A sharper voice came from where the man had rolled.
"You bastard, taking advantage of me!" A crisp voice promptly followed.
"Hahaha, that must have hurt a lot." Even Zahanu, who had just sat down, couldn't help but laugh gleefully.
The commotion over there lasted quite a while before the two seemed to notice the other survivors under the tree and came over.
"Old man Tavor, what about the others?" The young man asked.
Old man Tavor waved dismissively: "Toby, if you're so concerned about the others, go find them yourself instead of asking me."
Toby received a scolding and scratched his head in confusion.
Zahanu cursed next to him: "We were attacked by pirates, then faced a shipwreck. How many do you think survived?"
"Maybe it's just us four left." A stunning woman with dark skin, thin clothes, and a slender figure spoke.
Facing the three men present, she showed no fear.
Evidently, the other three knew her.
"Wicked woman, jinx!" The young man Toby, who had received several slaps from her, couldn't help but curse.
Hearing this, the woman's eyes widened, threatening to rush over and slap him again.
"Crazy girl, get off!" Toby cursed while defending himself with both hands and feet, then ran away.
"As if we're not miserable enough already."
A man with a tall figure in wet sailor clothes emerged from the ship's broken hull; he seemed to be in the best Status among them.
"Big brother!" Toby's eyes lit up as he immediately ran over.
The woman who had chased Toby also brightened her eyes and ran to the man's side, half reclining in his arms.
"I thought you were dead; I was so worried."
"Lisa, don't flaunt your charms at me, get out of the way!" The man pushed the woman aside.
Lisa wasn't angry; she giggled and twirled in place.
"Look who's here? Swade, our mighty first mate is here, but alas, our ship is wrecked." The old man remarked cynically.
Swade ignored him, walked over to the fire, and began drying his clothes.
As he busied himself, he spoke: "After waking, I checked around the ship. It seems the only survivors are us. Based on our route, although I'm unsure of the exact location, we should now be on the Lebia Continent."
As he said this, he took an Alchemy Product out of his chest pocket, resembling a clock, though its transparent cover was shattered.
He examined it for a while before slowly saying: "Seems we've strayed quite far off course. If we're in the Night Watcher's territory, that's good; if not..."
"Then we'll have to fend for ourselves, right?" Zahanu grinned widely, asking.
Swade glanced at him and nodded.
Wearing only shorts, he stood and dusted the sand off his behind, saying: "Old man, Toby, would you mind exploring the surroundings to assess the situation, at least confirm it's safe here."
The old man chuckled, slowly climbing up from the ground, murmuring: "These youngsters just love bossing the elders around."
Despite his complaints, he continued moving.
Then, Swade turned to Zahanu: "You and I should go inside to haul out whatever's still usable."
"What about me? What about me?" Lisa hurriedly approached, clutching Swade's strong arm.
"You stay here, find a good spot to set up camp, and organize our stuff."
"Certainly, my Lord." Then she performed an exaggerated bow.
Swade, unfazed by her jest, headed towards the stranded ship with Zahanu.
Food, fresh water, clothes, Weapons, and a hodgepodge of medicines.
They worked until evening to sort it all out.
By then, they relocated to a more suitable spot, setting up a simple camp.
The five sat around the fire.
The old man started speaking: "I wandered around, found nothing unusual, no footprints, no buildings, and... no animals. However, there are traces of hunting, crudely done, as if by children, but it's been a long time."
Swade nodded slightly.
"Although there's no detailed information, it's best we prepare for the worst. We might now be in the Ratmen's territory."
"That's terrible; I don't want to be eaten by rats. You must protect me, Knight." Lisa clung to Swade again.
"For someone aspiring to be a Night Watcher, you sure know your stuff." Zahanu said while gnawing on a fish he'd cooked.
Swade looked at the people by the fire and chuckled: "Aren't you all the same? Otherwise, why follow this ship here?"
