’Holy shit I’m going to be a father.’ Ash thought to himself.

The realization was a powerful one. Was he ready? How would things change? What would change?

Ash had so many questions running through his mind he almost didn’t notice Violet stirring awake.

Seeing her eyes open, knowing she’s pregnant and that’s about to tell her, his heart started pounding in his ears. His breathing was getting shallow.

"Finally, you’re awake." Ash expressed his worry, grabbing hold of her cheeks kissing her deeply.

Violet, melted in his arms. Her whole body relaxed, giving her this sense of being at home. He was her home. His touch filled her and all she could think about was how amazing his hands felt on her face, how her heart banging against her ribcage.

"I’ve missed you so much, Ash, waking up to you just made me feel free and safe." Violet started weeping, tears she couldn’t control started falling down her face wetting Ash’s hands.

"Hey, hey now, stop crying. You’re home, it’s okay now." Ash spoke quietly to her, reassuring her, the best he could.

"I’m just so happy is all, I’m so happy to be home with you." She cried more, "Oh Ash, I love you."

"I love you, more than words can express. You mean the world to me. And I’m going to spend the rest of our lives together." Ash gave her a big smile before saying "You’re mine now Violet, officially, no one will ever touch you again."

Violet’s eyes widened and she gasped covering her mouth.

"What do you mean? How is that possible, did your brothers agree to break the rules? The next Full Moon is a month away, what if they change their minds?" Violet asked excitedly.

"No." Ash said flatly.

"Then how? I don’t understand?" Violet raised an eyebrow at him confused.

"Don’t you get it?" He asked.

"No, I don’t but please tell me." Violet asked.

"You’re pregnant Violet. We’re having a little girl. She’s mine, Violet, I won." Ash was beyond proud; he was glowing with happiness after saying those words out loud.

Violet instinctively touched her stomach and looked down.

"I’m pregnant?" Violet asked, tears returning to her eyes.

Ash wipes them away and says "Yes, with my little girl."

Violet gasped touching her tummy. "Our little girl." her smile lifted high, and she looked at him so full of love and happiness, it was pouring out of her. She was beaming with joy. A lightness could be felt in the air, and a sense of love could be felt radiating from her.

"You just make me feel so good, Violet. Like all the problems in my life float away whenever you touch me. Everyone else always feels the same too." Ash was holding her hand kissing it gently.

"How do you know?" Violet asked.

"A healer told us." Ash answered.

"I was injured?" Violet asked confused, she doesn’t remember getting hurt and come to think of Violet didn’t remember much after the attack started.

"Not really, but others were, and you fainted when we were on our way home. Oh, here’s the best part, you had some energy blast blow everyone back and no one but me and the healer have been allowed to touch you since." Ash chuckled some.

"Are you serious Ash? I did that?" She asked stunned by what she just heard.

"Yeah, actually, it was quite the shock. Apparently, the baby wanted everyone back except me, Oliver tried to help me carry you and he was shoved back as well. According to the healer, our little girl is very strong and very picky." Ash rubbed the back of his head and chuckled, he had this sense of pride and confidence radiating from him. It was very different from his usual aura.

"I don’t know what to say. Really. I’m just so happy right now." She said smiling rubbing her belly.

"The healer said you’re due on All Hallows Eve, under the blood moon." Ash told her.

"That’s only 3m from now. That’s so short..."

"Maidens are only pregnant for 3 months give or take." Ash answered.

"Really? I didn’t know that no one’s ever told me." She mentions.

"Well, it’s not a commonly known fact, I’m not surprised no one told you." He answered.

"We’re having a baby girl Ash. A sweet darling little girl." Violet’s voice was so gentle and soft as she spoke. "What do you think she’ll look like?"

"Like you. She’s gonna be you through and through." Ash said patting her head.

A knocking on the door interrupted their sweet discussion of being parents.

"It’s Lilith, are you ready to see people?" Ash asked ready to turn everyone away and rip off anyone’s head who tried to push their way in.

"Does she know?" Violet asked.

"Yes, Jeremy, Oliver and her all know. But no one else, they were here when we found out." Ash told her.

"Let her in." Violet said.

Ash had barely opened the door before Lilith burst through it.

"Oh, my sweet darling girl, I’m so happy for you and my great gran daughter. How exciting!" Lilith rushed up to Violet who was still in bed. Naked apparently, because once Lilith was close enough, she asked Violet, "Where are your clothes?"

Violet realized she was naked, and her face turned beat red. "Ash, help me!"

Ash laughed loudly the whole way to her closet, grabbing her a soft white night gown that was frilly at the top and at the end of her sleeves.

Always a porcelain princess doll. Ash smiled at the thought of having a second princess.

Then he released, he’ll become king, once his father steps down, his father has been waiting a long time to step down and try and woe Gabriels’s mother again. After he decided to take on a second wife, Gabriel’s mother, Karissa, left him, refusing to share, she was a jealous and territorial woman. But Vlad never got over her and as soon as one of his son’s took over, he would try courting her again and even beg for forgiveness.

He was going to be king soon which meant, Violet, she would be queen, solidifying her place here and in there world. She would only be with Ash from here on out.
