The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers-Chapter 105: Our daughter’s name is

Violet stopped at the first room, knocking.

"Yes?" the male hoarse voice said from the other side of the door.

"May I come in?" Violet asked.

"Sure." The voice answered.

The man was in complete shock when he saw Violet walk through the door with Ash who stood in the doorway.

"Hi there, I’m Violet." She said sweetly standing before him hands in front of her, she held them tightly nervous. She felt this wildly powerful urge to touch him.

"Hello Violet, I’m Lord Erik." The man answered.

Violet found her legs moving toward the man. She couldn’t stop them; the pull was magnetic and strong. Her arm reached out; it was as if she wasn’t in charge of her own body anymore.

And then she touched him.

His eyes widened as he felt his pain leave his body, dulling more and more the longer she touched him. He couldn’t believe what was happening. He checked his body for injuries and found he still had them; they just didn’t hurt.

He looked at her stunned and full of confusion.

"What did you do to me?" He asked.

Violet was confused, what did he mean? She felt a little weird after touching him, like she had eaten a salad before dinner. She looked back at Ash. He looked just as confused, but he had an added feeling of concern. He took a step forward.

"I don’t feel any pain. At all. It’s like you touched me and all the pain disappeared. But I’m not healed, I’m still injured, I don’t know what to think. I don’t understand."

"I don’t understand what you mean. I didn’t do anything, and I don’t have that kind of magic." She answered.

"Whatever you did, thank you." The Lord Erik said with pleading eyes.

Violet smiled and said "You’re welcome, I’m happy I could be of some service."

"I am your loyal servant, princess." He bowed the best he could while sitting up in his bed.

Violet left his room and went to next; the door was slightly ajar so she opened the door a little more and asked if she could come in and the girl said yes.

And just like the man before, the girl was stunned.

It was a teenage girl with a large bandage over her shoulder with splotches of red showing through the layer of gauze.

Violet felt a ping in her heart seeing the wound on such a young girl.

"Why are you here?" She asked. "Are you really here?"

"Yes, I came to say thank you for coming to save me." Violet bowed to her.

"Princess, please don’t do that. It’s too much for a low born like me." She almost fell out of the bed trying to stop Violet from bowing but caught her just time.

Her body froze, and her jaw dropped.

"Oh my goddess. Oh, oh my goddess!" She shouted, "You... You took my pain away! But... but how? I don’t understand?"

Violet was lost, what’s happening. She looked back to Ash with a questioning look.

"I don’t understand what’s going on." She looked back to the girl and said "I have to go now, I just came to say thank you for risking your life for me."

Before the girl could Violet turned and walked out the door, Ash closing it behind him.

"I understand what’s happening right now." Violet couldn’t believe what happened. Or the fact she felt satisfied after touching the girl, like she was hungry before and now she’s not. That also happened the last time she touched the man.

"I think I’ll call grandmother and see if she knows anything." Ash pulled out his phone and selected Lilith’s number.

"What?" She answered.

"You are just the most loving grandmother, you know?" He teased.

Lilith scoffed "I’m busy, get on with it."

"Something weird is happening with Violet, and I wanted to see if you knew anything about what’s happening." Ash states.

"Okay, continue, can’t answer if I don’t know the problem." She sounded grumpy.

"When Violet touches people her she can take away their pain." He said.

"Oh, and I feel better after too. Like I’m fuller." Violet adds in the background.

"Well, now that’s something new. It sounds like something a succubus does, but different in the obvious ways. I wonder if maidens are evolving. Maybe maidens feed on energy and not blood like a regular vampire." She suggests.

"That would make sense, that maiden’s feast on energy, they are still pureblooded vampires." Ash confirms the plausibility of Lilith’s conclusion.

"What is she saying?" Violet eagerly asked.

"Grandmother made a suggestion. And I think it’s probably the most plausible explanation." Ash told her.

"Tell me Ash." Violet begged giving her sweetest smile and a slow blink.

"You want to kill me don’t you, just hold on will you." Ash said.

"Grandmother, thanks for this, I’ve got to go, if you think of anything text me. Bye." Without giving Lilith a chance to respond he hung up.

Ash looked at Violet and said, "Let’s go to cafeteria and get a bite to eat and we can talk about what she just told me."

"Okay, I want a muffin anyways and some coffee, I haven’t had any since I woke up and I’m still a bit tired." Violet agrees, neither of them had breakfast.

’Ash also hasn’t drank from her in days, I should probably offer later.’ She thought to herself.

After grabbing their breakfast, they a seat at the table furthest away from them. They were easily recognizable, especially given the recent war.

"So, here it is. We think you might have evolved. What if that’s why maidens disappeared for so long, people took advantage of their weakness, and the Goddess thought you needed time to evolve. You are a pureblood vampire on the inside, you just maybe needed a child to activate the need to feed on energy instead of blood." Ash just laid it all out on the table. He expected her to freak out or at least be upset. But she was calm, she looked puzzled even.

"Do you think it’s because I’m having a girl, she’ll be like me and so I became an energy vampire because she is the true first and I only gained as a result. Evolving could also explain why she know what other people feel, and now even think. She can hear the thoughts instead of just knowing their feelings. Now, she can look at someone and it’s not just "they have red hair" knowing anymore, it was like she could zero in on a person’s thoughts or hear a collective. She heard their voice in her head.

"if I look at you, I can actually hear your thought’s if I try." Violet admits.

"Hmm... Maybe we’ve solved the mystery. You’re an energy vampire now. You’re like me except you don’t feed on blood. You even have special abilities like us now. You know this changes so much. Especially for our daughter." He adds.

"Odette, our daughters name is Odette." Violet says to Ash.
