The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers-Chapter 22: Violet makes a friend
Chapter 22: Violet makes a friend
Those two day’s after the full moon ceremony went by fast. Violet was enjoying her time with the three brothers. And they were with their time with her. They started to realize she was more than a toy, she was kind and made them feel good. But then reality came back, and they had to continue on with their lives. The world wouldn’t stop moving just because they were happy and didn’t want the time they were sharing to end. Violet had scarcely seen Riley and Gabriel since the event either. Feeling pretty relieved by not seeing Riley, she was also feeling nervous, because she knew it would only be a matter of time before he’d come for her again.
Dressed and ready the four of them head to school.
"Todays the first day back, do you think we’ll keep having problems like we did
before?" Asked Oliver.
"I don’t know and don’t care, if they touch her, I’ll rip their f*cking throats out." Ash growled at the idea of someone touching what’s his. When arriving at school the hallways were filled with familiar and unfamiliar faces. Some of the students have classes with Violet, others she recognizes their faces from stares of hate red. Wolf or female vampires give her glares that make her shiver. Thankful for the protection of the brothers. Moving closer to Oliver who she has classes with first. the day progresses smoothly with a mix of discussions and assignments. Lunchtime offered a chance to sit and relax. Cafeteria buzzing with conversation.
Afternoon classes followed, she had her first class in the library, she was sitting in the same chair as last time. A tap on her shoulder startled her, making her flinch.
The girl was short, her was long and curly stopping at her mid back. Her skin a soft brown. She had hazel eyes and big lips.
"Oh gosh I’m so sorry" said the girl apologetically.
"Oh no, I’m sorry, I had some bad luck last time I was here, so I’m got a little scared." Violet reassured her with a soft smile.
"I just notice you are only ever with those condescending boys. And wondered if you were okay. I see you with bite marks a lot." The girl said twisting her fingers nervously. She didn’t want to overstep.
"Yeah, I’m new here and with all the recent events, I haven’t really had to chance to make friends of my own" Violet scratches the back of her head tilting it sideways with a smile.
"It probably doesn’t help, your always surrounded by the biggest bullies in the
school. They kinda make it hard to approach you, huh?" Said the girl feeling a little more relaxed by Violet’s demeanor.
"Yeah, they definitely haven’t made it easy." Both girls now laughing.
"Did you want to sit with me?" Violet asked excitedly maybe having made a friend.
"You sure you wouldn’t mind? Most of the girls stay clear of me, because I’m a half breed and illegitimate." The girl said hanging her head in shame.
"I’m sorry. I don’t really care about that. It’s just semantics." Violet said reassuring her with a smile "Besides I’m human with vampire blood. If you don’t mind my brand of weird, I don’t mind yours."
"I don’t mind at all!" Said the girl excited sticking out her hand "I’m Rosa Santiego, half breed, pleasure to meet ya."
Violet stands up taking her hand and shakes it. "I’m Violet Velmont, the maiden, and the pleasure is most definitely mine."
The two girls laughed together, Rosa decided to pick spot on the floor across from Violet and laid down.
"Why don’t you pull up another chair?" Violet asked.
"Sometimes I like to look at the world from a different perspective." Rosa answered smiling.
"Really never thought of it that way." Violet said trying it out, she laid upside down looking at Rosa.
They laughed again at Violet’s silliness. Her and Rosa talked about their interest and realized they had different taste in music but the same taste in food. She learned Rosa has a little brother and that her fathers a trueblood.
Violet having made her first friend was very pleased with this.
The bell rang signaling the end of class and she heads to her next class meeting up
with Jeremy.
"I made a friend today, her names Rosa, and she hung out with me in the library.
"Don’t associate yourself with such lovely people, Violet. It’s embarrassing.
"I’m not a bit embarrassed and besides I’m human, are ashamed of me?" violet snapped.
Taken aback by Violets raised tone and defense he stared at her for a second before snapping back into reality.
"That’s different you have vampire blood in you." He said.
"So does she, why else would she be a half breed if not for having having Vampire blood!" Violet raised her voice "and she even gets fangs, that’s more than me Jeremy. So, buy your very standard I’m also lowly trash!"
Violet storms out of the room. Jeremy gets up to follow only to be tripped by one of the wolves. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"I’ll deal with you later you little shit." Jeremy said before sprinting out the classroom door.
"Violet" he yelled to her. But she was already gone, hiding in the girl’s bathroom. She started to weep. Her first friend and they were already trying to deny her. She would rather die than live like this. She felt so alone and hadn’t even realized how alone she was actually feeling until she made a friend.
If Violet was ever gone fight for anything in this new life of hers it was her first and only friend in her new life.
She missed her best friends back home dearly and texting them just wasn’t enough.
And with all that’s happened since coming here, she’s barely been able to do that. She’s desperate for a connection to someone that doesn’t sleep with her and drink from her.
She hid in the bathroom the remainder of the school day. Hearing the bell she finally stopped crying and walked over to the mirror and wiped away her tears, splashing water on her face. She taps her cheeks and exhales deeply. She shook off her feelings. And headed outside to the front of the school. Taking her time kicking her feet, she really wanted to avoid seeing them but knew it was
inevitable.
She gets to the front of the school, and she hears her boys screaming at one another. She ducks behind a wall and takes deep breaths. She knows they’re going to be really made at her. Calming herself down she goes to face them.
When they get a whiff of her scent they stop dead in their tracks. And all three heads turn over to look at her. She pauses unable to move feeling weighed down by their glares. The three of them rush over and Ash grabs her by her wrist and yanks her up.
"Where the hell where you?"
Violet flinches at his harsh tone and the pain searing from his grip on her.
"Ow, stop, you’re hurting me." She whimpers.
"And you scared us. Why did you run away from Jeremy Violet?" Ash asked her loudly.
All eyes were now on her.
"Please let go Ash, you’re really hurting me." Violet said pulling at her wrist. "Stop please"
"Tell me, where did you go and why did you leave Jeremy in the middle of class?"
"Put me down Ash!" Violet yelled.
The shock made him lose his grip he lowers her back to the ground.
"I put you down now talk."
"I ran to the bathroom" Violet sobbing "Jeremy said I couldn’t have a friend."
"Jeremy what the f*ck man" Oliver said socking Jeremy in the arm.
"Ow man what the f*ck, she wants to be friends with that lowly half breed." Jeremy rolled his eyes rubbing his shoulder.
"Who the fuck cares? It’s not a wolf and that’s all that should really count" Oliver responded annoyed with Jeremy.
"If Violet is happy, why do you care if she’s friends with a half breed? Violet is human too" Ash pointed out.
"That’s what I said!" Violet snapped at Jeremy.
"I haven’t asked for anything since coming here, I’ve been obedient and good. Let me have one friend. Please." Violet begged "I won’t let it go and I won’t have anyone but her."
"Fine what ever be friends with the mutant for all I care." Jeremy said rolling his eyes.
"Shes not a mutant and she has a name, it’s Rosa." Snubbing her nose to Jeremy.
"This doesn’t mean you’re off the hook Violet." Ash began "I’m still going to punish you later"
"We all will" Oliver said.
His words scaring her, she knew what punished meant. But they also excited her.
"Yes, I understand" Violet says hanging her head low knowing there was no chance of talking her way out of it.
No matter how justified she was running away from Jeremy, I still broke a rule. I had to be punished.
