Ash was unsure how to respond to Violet’s hug. He stiffened expecting Violet to run away or scream at him, he didn’t even realize he was holding his breath but once he relaxed, a deep breath was escaped, lifting a heaviness from him that he was unaware he had.

After standing still for a few moments he hugged Violet back. Picking her up and holding her clothes to him. Pushing his face into the curve of her neck, and breathing in the euphoria that is her.

He was drowning in her scent. His need for her was growing. How could she still want to touch him after watching that? He was a Demon and she was practically an angel. He felt undeserving of this forgiveness.

"It’s okay," she whispers "I still love you."

The words made Ash freeze. He’s heard her say those words before, but this time it felt like reassurance, despite all his bad qualities he was still worth loving.

What was this feeling? Violet did things to him that no one else has done. He could feel her temperature rise and the smell of her pheromones were exciting him.

Violet gently caressed the side of his face with her fingers. Her touch was so soft it felt like a butterfly had kissed his face.

He pulls back and grabs her cheeks lifting her face up and he presses his lips to hers. Taking from her all the air she had in her lungs. Her cheeks flushed pink and she held on to his arms with a light grip resting below his elbow. Letting him take every breath she had with his kiss. She always felt consumed by his lips.

They seemed to be completely unaware they were still at school and were now surrounded by an audience of professors and students.

*Clears throat* "Excuse me, I know we’re adults, but please try and at least condone

yourselves in a manner befitting of your status." And older man said stepping from the crowd.

Ash growled into Violet’s mouth before looking over. His eyes widened when he saw it was Uncle Hyde. His father’s close friend.

’Shit... Fuck’ Ash thought to himself. Backing up from Violet ’why the fuck was he here?’

Violet unintentionally felt his thoughts again, and looked over. Violet see’s a man with crazy white and grey hair, he had a large nose and thick round shaped glasses. He was wearing a white scientist robe and a black wrinkled shirt. His brown slacks were dusty. But his shoes were clean and you could just tell they

were extremely expensive shoes. The watch on his wrist was a Rolex. The man looked unhinged; insane even.

"Well isn’t it Uncle Hyde, my fathers crazy ass bastard of a best friend." Ash said slightly smiling.

His thoughts were so different from his reaction.

"Uncle Hyde?" Violet asked looking at Ash, she was confused, she’d never heard of an

Uncle Hyde?

"Shit, I’m sorry." Ash rubbed the back of his, a bead of nervous sweat appeared on his

forehead "Violet, this is my uncle Professor Hyde. He’s my fathers best friend"

"Only friend, is more like it." Hyde chuckled.

The first words being a joke, you would think Ash felt a little more at ease. But seeing Uncle Hyde here could only mean three things: his father was ticked off, his father was coming or his uncle was bored and here to stir the shit pot. Basically none were actually good.

Hyde was a wizard, but with science, he was born to family of wizards but with no magic. So he learned to make his own, some of the side effects of his genius was, being absolutely fucking insane. He was a homicidal maniac at best. Ash’s father’s favorite kind of human.

Ash knew how to handle his uncle; it was Violet he was worried about.

"Hello Professor Hyde, I am Violet Velmont." She voice was tender and soft her smile sweet. Violet bowed her head in respect.

"Well aren’t you just as cute as everyone has said" Hydes words were smooth Ash could

hear in his tone something sinister hiding.

"Don’t fucking think about it" Ash growled. He didn’t like the way he spoke to Violet, his tone was alarming.

"Well if I didn’t know any better, I’d think I heard our Uncle Hyde’s voice." Oliver said trotting up behind.

Hyde looks behind and his face lights up.

"Well isn’t that my favorite nephew?" Hyde said seeing Oliver, Oliver had the most

charismatic personalities of all the brothers, so naturally most who met them gravitated towards Oliver.

"Well don’t you look exactly the same since the last time I saw you." Hyde chuckled.

"I sure fucking hope so, I’d hate to age like you old man." Oliver joked.

"You wouldn’t look this good even if you did." Hyde clapped back.

"You’re right he’d look better." Jeremy chimed in now joining them.

The crowd around them just watched as the reunion took place. The four of them

seemed unbothered by all the onlookers. Violet stood curiously examining the

older man in front of her. His interactions with the brothers confused her.

"Violet, your face has subtitles." Oliver says to her.

Violet’s face turned pink again embarrassed she wasn’t paying attention.

"Ha, sorry, I’ve just never seen you guys act like it, so I was a lost in thought a bit."

"Sorry, Violet, we’re just surprised to see him, it’s been awhile." Ash said petting the back of Violet’s head he looked down at her, trying to give her a reassuring smile, but he knew she wouldn’t buy it. "Well we see you at the manor tonight?"

"Yes, oh and guess who came with me?" Hyde smiled his eyes showing his plot

unfolding.

"Who?" Ash asked rolling his eyes.

"Your cousins."

And there it was, his play revealed. His uncle was bored and was here to stir the pot. Hyde knew his cousin Viktoria had a crush on him and has since they were little. It wasn’t uncommon for Vampires to try and breed out the human in them and sometimes sleeping with relatives equal in blood was how it was maintained.

Viktoria was one of the only pureblood women left. The rest have perished through the years. Pureblooded vampire women couldn’t get pregnant, only those with human

in their lineage can give birth. It was the only thing in the world that bothered Viktoria. She could never be a mother.

Determined if she couldn’t be a mother she would marry Ash and be the Queen of Vampires. When Viktoria heard that a maiden had been born, she immediately had a fit,

trashing her room entirely. Screaming as she ripped her bedding and clothes, throwing glass across the room, breaking mirrors. She couldn’t believe everything she wanted in life was going to be stolen from her by some worthless human girl.

Princess Viktoria had been desperately looking for a reason to come, so when her Uncle Hyde offered for her to join him, she gladly jumped at the opportunity. So, her and Viktor her twin brother and left with their Uncle Hyde.

Ash knew this would be nothing but trouble and already felt aggrieved by this. Going home today was going to be real annoying and he was loathing it.

On the other hand, Violet was excited to meet the twins, and was hoping they could be close friends. She wanted to know what Princess Victoria looked like, and what she liked to eat, how she dressed, her favorite movies. She was so excited to have another girl in the home, she could hardly contain herself.

"Well, you look pretty excited, Violet, what are you thinking about?" Oliver asked.

"I’m thinking about how exciting it is to have another girl in the house." Her dreams and plans were glistening in her eyes.

Hearing this, Hyde smiled said "this is going to be so interesting."

"Why are you here old man?" Ash asked getting right to the point.

"Ash since you asked so kindly I’ll tell you, I’m teaching at the school. Science of course." Professor Hyde answered, knowing he had Ash and there was nothing he could do about him being here at the school.

"Oh, and your father said we could stay at the manor. I’ll take the suite in the back. And your cousins are already settling down at the manor." Hyde stated.

Ash growled.

"What are you plotting old man?" Ash asked.

"Nothing, nothing, I’m just bored and thought teaching would be a nice change of pace after I was asked by the dean. Your father agreed and thought it was a great idea." Hyde casually mentioned, this little inclusion solidified his place here at the manor and the school.

"Viktor and Viktoria will both be attending here as well." Hyde finished.

"Fucking great." Ash rolled his eyes, clearly aggravated.

"What’s wrong?" Violet looked up asking him, she wondered why he would be so bothered

by this.

"Nothing, let’s go." Ash grabbed Violet’s hand pulling her hard, turning, she stumbled over her feet, falling to the side, Ash reacted quickly by pulling her up and grabbing her by her waist and he twisted with her so she could look at his face.

"You should be less clumsy." He said frowning at her.

"I was surprised and you pulled really hard. Sorry." Violet’s heart was racing. She was scared when she started to fall and when he caught her, seeing his eyes like that she could scarcely catch her breath.

"Don’t be I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have pulled you that hard." Ash apologized.

Everyone was surprised to hear Ash apologize for anything. But he was apologizing to her. She really must be someone special for him to apologize.

"Let’s go, I don’t want be here anymore." Ash said leaning back up.

"Okay." She she said smiling.
