The Gentle Maiden and Five Lustful Brothers-Chapter 87: All of the piece are in place
Chapter 87: All of the piece are in place
Everything was set, all of the pieces were in play, and the game had begun. Tomorrow they’d let Ursula attend school. The sex they had was incredible, so he’ll call it a reward. And Ursula wont question it, last night was unquestionably the most fun and willing she’s ever been.
Beta Atlas left early in the morning to finish arranging everything giving Ursula time to... revel in last night’s events alone and to hide a stone in her bag.
He placed a note on the nightstand of his bed that Ursula found when she woke up.
"Dearest fiancé, I have some thing’s to attend to so I left early, please enjoy your lovely morning and take the day to do what you want, yes, that means you can go to school, if you wish. Have a beautiful day my love. -Atlas."
Ursula shuddered reading his lovers note. As if they were anything but an arranged marriage. Ursula scoffed tossing the note to the side. At least she could go to school tonight and see her friends.
That alone made last night worth it. Freedom from this hellhole. She spent the morning seeking out Luna Selene to let her know she would be attending school today. It was odd for Atlas to gift her anything, even when she’s been ’good’. Last night was more than she ever gave him, but that’s because the wine was so potent she couldn’t help it. Walking into the dining hall they were serving lunch; she must have slept really late.
"Ursula!" Yelled a little voice. Turning her head, she sees Prince Ambrose running full speed and arms open to her. The image of such a precious boy wanting her attention warmed her whole body from the inside out.
"Hello Ambrose, good afternoon. How’s your day going?" Ursula chuckled lightly.
"Better now that you’re here!" He looked up at her wide eyed and pure of love and innocence.
Knowing how the world was, she wanted desperately to preserve that sweet boy in her embrace.
"That’s enough Ambrose, you’re going to suffocate the poor girl, hello darling its good to see you, I was beginning to wonder if I’d see you today." Luna Selene greeted Ursula with a saddened look. Ursula knew Selene knew what happened last night. Sympathy filled her face and voice.
"Come have a seat and join us for lunch" Luna Selene gestured toward an empty seat by them.
"Bring a plate for dearest one here." Luna Selene asked a servant nearby. Who responded with a quiet but deliberate nod, turning toward the kitchen.
Ambrose grabbed Ursula’s hand practically dragging her to the table to sit next to him. Ursula found his behavior to be sweet and it really started her day off on the right foot. She hadn’t smiled this much in her home since she left for here.
"Luna Selene, Atlas is being... odd this morning." Ursula mentions.
"How so?" Luna leaned forward putting her elbows on the table and her chin on her closed hands.
Ursula leans back in her chair as the servant came and placed a plate of food in front of her. Her favorite lunchtime meal, BLT with wavy original Lays. Everyone knew what she went through with Atlas last night, they saw how he watched her at dinner, they knew about the wine he’d given her. They knew what he was like. The servants all treated her special after her nights with Atlas.
"He’s being... Nice..." Ursula answered slowly.
"Nice? Atlas? Well, that doesn’t suit him." Luna Selene confirmed.
"I know. Right?" Ursula agreed.
"What was so nice?" Luna Selene asked.
"He gave me a free day; said it was because I performed well last night..." Ursula was low and quiet with her words. As if confessing about the night would break her.
Luna Selene looked at her puzzled and then asked "What’s nice about that? That seems normal."
"It’s not normal for Atlas, he thrives on control. He also left me a note..." Ursula sounded awkward even to herself when those words left her mouth.
Luna Selene’s eyes widened with surprise, "A note?"
"Yeah, telling me it’s okay to take the day off, and even... go to school?" Ursula answered.
"Well, are you going to go?" Luna Selene asked.
"Of course, I miss my friends, and I’ll probably go and hang out with my best friend Violet after school, she’s got a new kitten, and I haven’t gotten to meet her yet."
Luna Selene broke out in a hysterical laugh. "A wolf cuddling a kitten, that’s hilarious."
"Hey there’s calendars made of that stuff it’s super cute, maybe Violet can take a picture of me in my wolf form cuddling her kitten and we could have our own calendar." Ursula proudly joked.
"It’s an hour’s drive for school, and I have homework to catch up on before class and still need to get ready for school." Ursula says as she takes a bite out of her sandwich.
"Fair, then I will take my leave, I have my own needs to attend to, I’ll see you later darling." Luna Selene retreated from the dining hall.
Ursula finished her lunch, completed her homework and was ready for school just in time.
Getting in the SUVs with the other wolves, they all head to school.
Ursula couldn’t wait to see Violet, she thought about texting her, but thought an in person surprise would be more her style.
Because of this Ursula was the first student to arrive in class.
Luhta Elen looked at Ursula and raised a brow. But then continued setting up for class.
Her classmates started piling in through the door chatting amongst themselves. Then right on que Violet and Oliver walk through the door together laughing.
When Violet laid eyes on Ursula she shrieked and sprinted across the class, moving effortlessly through the crowded classroom.
"Oh Ursula, I’m so glad you’re here!" Violet engulfed Ursula in a deep affectionate hug. One that brought so much peace and ease into her life. Ursula felt this weight lifted from her and it was refreshing to see her smiling, happy, easy going best friend.
"Yeah, sorry about that royalties are in town so everyone important are usually expected to remain with the royal family, but I guess I earned a hall pass." Ursula explains.
"How exciting! What are they like?" Violet was intrigued and was in the right class to learn more.
"Yes, Ursula, come share your experience with the class." Luhta Elen insisted.
"Oh, okay, sure." Ursula got up from her seat and spoke to the class "As some of you know, I am engaged to Beta Atlas of the CrystalBay Pack, and as someone closely involved to my alpha’s court, it is tradition that for seven nights and seven days the two clans would wine and dine each other, a reminder of power and peace among the packs. I was given special privilege from my fiancé the Beta to attend class today." Ursula explained. "I haven’t spent much time with the Alpha King, but his son Prince Ambrose is very lively child, Luna Queen Selene is graceful and commanding, she even checks the Alpha King, but in a respectful loving wife kind of way. They looked to have a beautiful relationship. There will be a series of banquets and celebrations that will happen over the next few days. It’s really exciting." Ursula concluded and quickly sat back down.
Luhta Elen looked unsatisfied, so she continued to ask questions about traditions, Ursula was uncomfortable with all the attention but answered all of her professor’s questions. Her pack members frowned at her; they didn’t like her sharing pack secrets. Even though the traditions weren’t a secret, it’s was just better to hear about customs from their people. The divide between vampires and wolves were drawn pretty hard.
The school day came and went and by the end of it, all of the girls had planned to go back to Violet’s to see her new kitten. Ursula would ride back with Violet and the princes. Arya and Rosa would join later.
Ursula was utterly amazed every time she drove up the driveway at the sight of the vampire’s estate. Her home was large, but this, this was regal and elegant. A place royalty lived, and it reminded her that she was sitting in the car with royalty and her best friend was a princess.
Ursula smiled internally thinking to herself how cool it was to have a princess for a best friend.
Violet couldn’t wait to show her friends her new kitten Midna. She’d been excited all day since Ursula asked, her kitten wasn’t friendly, but her friends knew about personal space and as long as they gave her personal space everything would be okay.
Oliver turned to the two girls "You ladies head upstairs; we have some work to do before we can even consider hangin out." Oliver wrapped his arm around Jeremy and tugged him to head upstairs to his room. Jeremy shrugged him off, but Oliver wasn’t deterred he just did it again.
Ash came up to Violet and kissed her forehead, "I’ll be right up after a couple calls, kay?"
Violet nodded beaming up at Ash, her eyes full of love.
Releasing Violet and heading toward the library, while her and Ursula race upstair. But as soon as Violet opened the door, she sensed someone.
Something wasn’t right, Ursula’s body went rigid. The smell. She knew that smell.
And just like that Esmerelda appeared from the shadows as if she’d been here instead of at home the whole time.
Ursula was shaken, she stumbled backwards terrified. If Esmerelda was here, where was Atlas? Ursula’s heart pounded in her ears as her thoughts raced.
Violet didn’t notice the intruder and rushed to Ursula who was on the ground.
Ursula sat on the ground wide eyed as Esmerelda pulled out the stone Atlas had gifted her and then took the one from Ursula’s bag. Esmerelda moved silently and swiftly towards the two of them but by the time Violet noticed it was too late. Esmerelda put the two stones together and a portal swallowed the three girls completely.
